No, I wasn't aware of that, because apparently I was never twelve years old myself. But to be honest, I wasn't aware of the meaning of the word 'horny' at the time, because I distinctly remember that even at age 14 (when Austin Powers came out), I casually regurgitated the catchphrase 'do I make you horny' that I'd heard on the commercials to my parents, and got chewed out for it.

So yes, there are actually 12-year-olds in existence who aren't fully aware of the meaning / context of sexual words or innuendos; they might be fully aware of them yet could be made uncomfortable being made to say them, or they could learn about them later in life, and look back on what a director had them say when they were kids and find the situation uncomfortable. There's a lot of variables to consider here, and I'm not rushing to judgment; the simplest and most logical explanation here is that the developers were crunched for time and didn't really put much thought into having the actress burn through the lines. However, it must be reiterated that even when playing New Vegas at release ten years ago, I found it a little creepy that the young scantily-dressed callgirl had the standard 'little girl' VA - at the time I thought they were either deliberately alluding to child prostitution, or someone on the dev team just screwed up.

I mean, it was quickly apparent even a decade ago that the VA used for the Atomic Wrangler barker was the same voice as all the female children in the game, but I was never sure if the VA was actually a child or a grown woman doing a child's voice.

It was definitely a questionable move, because that character has a couple other innuendo-laced lines (something like 'the slots are loose, the booze is cheap, and the women are just like the booze!'). My nuts always scurry up into my ribcage when I see child actors exposed to questionable material in media - the Chappelle's Show Sesame Street parody immediately springs to mind - and I'm left wondering what steps were taken, if any, to protect the kids from being directly exposed to that stuff (voice dubbing in post, cutaways, etc).

I personally feel that 'horny' is just barely permissible as long as the actress wasn't given any further context as to the meaning of the word or nature of the scene / character; even though the cultural relevance of Austin Powers had already peaked a decade prior, the constant exposure of his catchphrase in the advertising sphere did help drive the impact of that word straight into the ground.

That's not what this is. This is presumably a man drawing this, for men. No one chose anything in this scenario. Other than the artist. And it's literally drawn from the camera angle of someone standing over her and staring down at her chest. Using "you hate female sexuality" as a defense isn't gonna work.

You can decide you like it, but this is an example of why people make fun of comic covers.

You mean to tell me that women don't just sit around the house in an incredibly awkward pose while wistfully pushing their tits out for no one in particular? Not to mention the fabric of her shirt perfectly contoured around said tits, a comic-art trope which has grated me more and more over the years - I just barely let that slide even when it's intended to be a perfectly-cut form-fitting spandex suit.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying the artwork imo, but people should at least have the decency and self-awareness to recognize it for exactly what it is: something drawn by manchildren to give teenage boys and fellow manchildren some PG-rated downstairs tingles. And I say this as a manchild who draws fetish erotica in my spare time: it's every lonely artist's god-given right to idealize / sexualize their fictional creations to whatever degree they personally choose. Just don't try and pitch the resulting artwork as anything more highbrow than what it actually is.

I have extensive knowledge of which NPCs' corpses do and do not despawn in Oblivion and Skyrim, and exploits for how to keep any corpse from despawning. I also figured out secondary glitches / exploits, like how to turns corpses into permanent statues / mannequins in Oblivion (recently figured out a way to do this in Skyrim after all these years, but it requires the Cheat Room mod).

I also have fairly extensive knowledge of such things in Fallout 3, New Vegas, and Fallout 4, but I could never figure out an exploit to prevent despawning in those games. It's also functionally pointless, since the ES games actually have powers that let you reanimate them into zombie minions, whereas the Fallout games don't. I would kill for a Fallout game to give you the ability to turn fallen enemies into cyborg minions.

The problem was the final volume wasn't out by the time the movie was being made. They had to do their own thing

Eh, the final book was easily the weakest of the six imo. The bulk of character development happens in Books 3, 4, and 5; a noteworthy chunk of book 3 was cut from the movie and nearly all of books 4 and 5 were slashed. The movie's a classic case of trying to arrive at the same destination as the source material while cutting out a huge chunk of the journey.

That can be pretty tricky. At first I thought it was amazing that Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 let you grind the auction house for like 90% of the game's uber gear fairly early in the game, but I soon realized that the endgame experience had no value because I was already tired of said uber gear and had nothing to look forward to equipment-wise.

I love how poorly that joke aged in such a short amount of time. It's similar to the Robert Downey Jr. joke from the Mel Gibson episode.

I was going to further this point by saying that it was arguably never fresh to begin with, since I assumed S6 aired after Pulp Fiction was already out. But I looked it up and apparently Pulp Fiction released exactly two weeks after the Itchy and Scratchy Land ep first aired. So you are correct, it had a whopping 14 days of freshness, lol.

Of course the ep was written / animated long before that point, no doubt. But you're right, a big part of that joke's charm is how inaccurate it turned out to be.

I went into it with a favorable outlook because Winter Soldier is still my favorite MCU movie, and Sam Wilson / Falcon was one of my favorite parts of that movie; I also ended up liking his and Bucky's brief pairing in Civil War, and was interested in seeing more of that.

The show fell flat a bit, but I did like a lot about it. I liked how they weren't afraid to lean heavily into the racial issues. Like most people, I thought Wyatt Russell was the breakout star of the show. And I liked what they did with Zemo, especially in the sense that he stuck to his principles in certain key scenes (though bringing the Baron aspect into play, while fun, retroactively causes an issue with Civil War: how did he not have the power / resources to get his family out of Sokovia long before Ultron cratered it?).

Something else to consider in addition to everything mentioned thus far is that Nintendo characters generally aren't very deep. Peach, Samus, Pokegirls, etc more often than not lack significant backstory or character growth. So it's a lot easier for fans and fetish story writers to project their own fantasy scenarios onto these characters - using their surface-level personalities and select in-game events as a starting point - without breaking established canon.

But mostly, it's just that they're wildly popular. Pokemon in particular is unbeatable in terms of mass appeal recognition paired with the widest pool of potential characters / fetish bait imaginable.

Again. It isn't about convincing you to buy anything because of one specific ad. It is just the subtle emotions you get when you eventually are buying something on your own.

I don't particularly care about Honda vs. Lincoln. My first car was a hand-me-down, and my second car was a used Honda, which was bought in a pinch when the first car became unusable. I drove that Honda for about five years and found it to be very reliable from firsthand experience (not to mention testimony from other Honda drivers I knew irl), so all my cars since have been Hondas. I almost bought a Saturn Ion instead about fifteen years ago, but that was on recommendation of a friend who owned one and couldn't stop talking it up. Advertising has never influenced my decision to buy a car.
