Probably not. For one thing, everyone wants US money when it gets handed around. For another, actually arresting the President of the United states would at minimum cause a diplomatic incident. At worst it could result in an armed response from the US to recover their leader.

The short version is, back in the '30's a law was passed giving politicians access to the airwaves without stations being able to pick and choose who gets on the air.
I mean, that's a fair law in the sense that a station run by the Democrats shouldn't be able to totally silence Republican voices and vice versa. However, at the same time... Shouldn't politicians be subject to the same obscenity laws they vote for and approve? If ABC/CBS/NBC/Fox can't air something, why can a politician or a PAC supporting them put something in the air waves that the station would normally be fined for airing by the FCC?

Something to do with his sister. He was stuck in the ISS room and had to be escorted everywhere until his mother pulled his bail. Next time I heard about him he was... Getting arrested again.

That's a fact. And anyone who doubts that, I suggest they go browse any Fandom Wiki, your favorite game or anime for instance, and turn their ad blocker off. On mobile, they make the site practically unusable.

Which, it's worth noting that if you provide an unusable service to the people you're trying to stick around to farm ad views off of, eventually they'll get absolutely sick of it and leave. And if you bleed enough of those users, advertisers are gonna question paying you big bucks for ad space. It's actually really comparative to clear cut logging or unsustainable farming practices actually. Maximum yield, but eventually the land is worthless.

Yeah, people don't seem to understand that the online price, and even a lot of online ads, aren't for the store. They're for the website. I see a Walmart ad and click it, it takes me to the product page on the website. Legally, Walmart will argue that they're only advertising an online price.

This hasn't... Ever been true for online prices, I believe. It's commonly known and accepted that store prices may not match the online price. That's not false advertising.

It'd only be false advertising if it was, say, in a local ad.
Walmart's terms and conditions actually go as far as to say "We can't actually be sure the price you're seeing is right until you order the thing online."

https://www.walmart.com/help/article/walmart-com-terms-of-use/3b75080af40340d6bbd596f116fae5a0

Which, that's an incredibly scumbag thing to pull.

Euripides posted...
Most retailers will price-match their own website if pushed a little as well (since they know you'll just leave and order it online, which doesn't count as a sale for their location)
Yeah, Walmart's policy has always been "if we're the one's who ship and sell it, and not a third party, we'll match the online price."

This. It's just convenient and time efficient to use digital signs instead of the paper ones.
Yeah, working for Walmart, I changed over 500 prices today for toy clearance. It's a fuck load of paper labels, even before you count the ones that printed wrong or what have you. Now figure you do this about twice a year. Garden resets at my store into Christmas and the WHOLE department changes over. Nationally speaking, it's not an insignificant additive to the amount of waste the company produces.

Hell, I have done price changes of .01 difference. It's a complete waste of my time that I could spend doing literally anything else. And a waste of their labels. And the biggest irony is at one set of doors there's some corporate propaganda about how Walmart tries to be a green company.

Whereas a digital label, tap buttons. The biggest costs will be replacing ones morons insist on "testing" paint on in the spray paint, craft, and nail polish aisles. If you think I'm making that up, go to your local Walmart and look. Shelves will be covered in paint, and in the spray paint aisle there will be a sprayed spot on the floor that's years old. If there isn't they just remodeled the store.

Not that fundamental religious law isn't compatible with human rights, because I'm not arguing that point. Where has the UN called out Sharia Law specifically for that, though?

That would be a headline. For all time.
Okay, I wasn't clear, I meant that Sharia law is incompatible with Human Rights, as the UN defines human rights.

The UN's Universal Deceleration of Human Rights was called out as not taking "cultural sensitivities" into consideration. Iran specifically called it out as ""a secular understanding of the Judeo-Christian tradition", which could not be implemented by Muslims without trespassing the Islamic law."

In 1990 the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to respond to the UDHR, and honestly, if you need to "respond" to a deceleration of human rights with anything but "yes" you're already wrong, and came out with the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam. To quote:
Ann Elizabeth Mayer points to notable absences from the Cairo Declaration: provisions for democratic principles, protection for religious freedom, freedom of association and freedom of the press, as well as equality in rights and equal protection under the law. Article 24 of the Cairo declaration states that "all the rights and freedoms stipulated in this Declaration are subject to the Islamic shari'a"

Glass the whole area. That's not a gimmick answer, the sides of that conflict have been fighting or disagreeing with each other longer than the island of Britain has been united under one monarch. Hell, some of that bad blood might actually date back to the Roman Empire.

You can put up whatever plans you want, but as long as there are firebrands on both sides to fuck around with the other only for them to open a can of find out with an overly violent reaction, peace is impossible. As it stands, the only way you'll get peace in that region is if there are no people in it.
