Agreed. Nintendo technically showed more games AND gameplay, but a few of them were stinkers. The Metroid trailer showed nearly nothing and somehow ended up being so boring even hideki kamiya had to call it out on Twitter.

Confused by the already out. You are going back to Alan Wake 2, which means you are leaving out a LOT. Unless you just re added Alan Wake 2 because of the recent DLC release.

That will then be 2 years prior to the release of the console. And the Switch was a massive success unlike Wii U, so I wouldn't count on everything being ported. What if it just has backward capability?

Prime 4 will likely be released around the Switch 2 release window so that is a completely different situation.

You might as well beat the standard game. The boss that you must beat to get to the DLC is not quite the endgame area, but in an optional area that is almost as rough.

To me, the word incel should only be used regarding men who are super bitter, misogynistic, and blame women/society/Chads for their own problems. They don't necessarily have to be virgins, but at the very least they are currently unable to get laid.

It could be just burnout. I went through stages like that too. During my teens the only thing I played were shooters. I eventually burned out hard on that and went back to platformers and turn based RPGs. Then I went to reaction based games like rhythm and shmups. Then I cycle through them.

I am hoping that playing Baldur's Gate 3 recently and then the upcoming Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and maybe Metaphor: ReFantazio turn things around. What is with the awful names btw?

Is it the time investment? I loved XC 3, but it was like 100+ hours to complete the story and all of the side quests.

I beat Elden Ring, Tears of the Kingdom, and Baldur's Gate 3 in the last two years, so definitely not the problem.

Why would I be weirded out? I am weirded out by people being weirded out by a harmless kink their partner has.

I still very much consider myself a fan of turn based JRPG's, but even for me, they're very hit or miss. Like I've tried to like Dragon Quest, but it's been boring each game I've tried. So those HD 2D remake announcements did nothing for me. But I'm excited about the Romancing Saga 2 Remake and Mario & Luigi

I wish I was still a fan. I honestly don't know what changed. I couldn't even finish Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or Shin Megami Tensei V

The shuttering of Tango was a travesty btw. I played Hi Fi Rush on PS5 and loved it.

The one thing that made me less excited for the Direct was all the turn based JRPGs. I used to eat that shit up, but in the last several years, they have started to really bore me. Unless something amazing like Baldur's Gate 3

wtf, I booted up the save to see if I could use it for the DLC, and it didn't save a bunch of the endgame stuff.

still enough for the DLC, but it's the first time any FS game has missed some of my save (could be my system).

I get it. Went through about 8 weapon phases (scythes, spears, greatswords, great clubs then dual wielding them) and regularly changed up my fashion to keep things fresh. If I try to lock in on a specific build everything starts feeling the same after awhile and I just want to get to the end.

I should do this. Spent most of the game with Bloodhound's Fang. Inflicting bleed on bosses is satisfying

It's my least favorite of the 4 Castlevania games I've played, but it's still decent. Like bsp said, the second half of the game is when it becomes a Metroidvania and when it improves imo.

I think it depends on what you want. I enjoyed how the first half harkened back to the really tough NES side scrollers. I might have actually enjoyed the first half more despite being a big Metroidvania fan.

I liked it a lot. It's odd in that it doesn't become a Metroidvania until halfway through.

It is also brutally hard.

Anyway, there is a point where I stop enjoying a game if I try to do everything possible, especially when massive.

It is supposedly 40 to 50 hours in length. That's as long as a Dark Souls game.

That was more my deal several years ago. Most stories weren't that crazy (although a couple were), but it was more that it was a different woman every couple weeks on average. I was such a man whore for about a year. I got better.

Yes, it was a good direct and I love Nintendo. Many, including myself, would argue that the Xbox showcase was better. Regardless, it doesn't matter. Like what you like and stop shitting on other consoles.
