I never understood why a Meteor Iron sword would be a big deal.

IRL, that was the common source of Iron long before people figured how to mine and smelt good Iron, and due to impurities, it would probably be shit compared to a regular sword.

At the time of TLJ I was disappointed that Rey's parents were some nobodies but I've been thinking about it quite a bit lately and I don't know what surprise lineage she could have had that I wouldn't have thought was dumb/contrived as hell.

Yeah, I enjoyed the "Rey is a nobody" reveal.

I don't dislike her being descended from someone per se but I think if they were going to walk it back it could've been revealed better

This guy's father was the Emperor and a Sith Lord. What kind of upbringing did he have?Was he force sensitive? Did he play any role in the Empire at all?

Guy fell in love with a lady and lived a life as junk trader. Probably hated his father and got as far away from him as he possibly could

He's a generic Bioware self insert protagonist who is amazing at everything and every character spends the whole game sucking him off and he mastered both sides of the force and he dual wields red and purple lightsabers and here's my 100000 word fanfic about what he did in the unknown regions do not steal

He'd be interesting as a mentor or legacy character in the films.

But in terms of a protagonist I'd find Ulic/Cay Qel Droma and Exar Kun to be much more interesting
