Echo beated.... last two eps ehh. 4 doesn't feel like much happens but Kingpin talk

I heard the finale was weird, caught off-guard that it's only a half hour but whatever in the first half I was enjoying it..... but then yeah I see what everybody means oof, the side-goons about to slaughter the town felt very disconnected and failed so easily it's like "what's the point?". Kingpin vs Maya was goofy af, big power-reveal moment and............... what happened? What did she actually do??? He's still a nutter.... and the resolution was literally a sharp ass cut from Kingpin asking WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME to Kingpin suddenly entering his car, wtf???? I mentioned earlier in this topic the bizarre What If 2 Peggy episode cut but that was just an awkward fight scene whatever, this is the climax of the whole show and they just cut and leave???? HUH?

Episodes 2 & 3 were cool, and I found the small-town setting very charming... but they really didn't know what to do with this show and it's so weird. I feel like this could've just been a single episode with the Special Presentation branding they used for Werewolf By Night.

also yeah Daredevil was totally just marketing bait lol, like with how short it is you get the picture that there's nothing to fit him in but it's pretty blatant. I remember every episode of people waiting for his appearance in She-Hulk and that absolutely lived up to the hype - that's not what Echo is though. Which is fine tbh, it's just the marketing bait that's funny.

Can't say I'm wowed by Echo 1, can't help the disinterest how much recap is in the first half knowing we only have 5 eps, and where it's not recap, well, I don't really care about that mission for Kingpin until the moment Daredevil popped up because I really don't care about the goons she's working with. A lot of starting in on the backstory that after a while I thought huh, is this show going to take place pre-Hawkeye?

Half-ways it finally feels like the actual show starts and well it's introducing the locals but yeah just minor setup... and then it ends with a trailer. was that really needed? I'm already watching the show, I don't need to see so much of the few episodes to come. Like oh I see a train incident right after this character said he wouldn't help Maya with the train thanks preview

also whoop the first minute I kept double-checking that I was on the right show

yeah gsis is of the same mind, but it's nonetheless a drastic change of tune from the 200% denial he's been in and honestly it reinforces the fact that gdad very well COULD snap and call it in again - which is how gbro's in his recent predicament in the first place

like yeah I wouldn't be surprised for gdad to still cover for him in the days to come, but having been there, gbro at gdads place is just days of torture that does pile onto him and when gdad feels disrespected enough he very much can make impulsive actions for both better or worse

daily budget of kills is an interesting idea

on more thought and seeing the tiny ones go by, the idea about changing the # kills to die is probably a double-edged sword and would even further encourage people to kill tough competition early while it's easier to do so

although i am kinda interested in maybe the reverse - starting at 2 kills to die and rolling it down to 1 at the half-way point. then it's not just the quick-draws deciding the bottom of the field

although if that was the case would that mean everyone at the halfway point with 1 kill on them would they get insta-killed at the half-way point or would they get a second wind for surviving.... second wind actually sounds cool, although in fairness that would should also free up the kills of people who attempted them

outside of that theorizing, I would so far be on Scenario B just 'cause it's really lame of the first kills to always take the wind out of the big names from a single murderer

2 takes different turn, more into an uncomfortable disturbing direction young teen incest, but then climax snap into the spree killing is real strong
3 more like the first... straight copying the first death, a lot of failed scares that just look goofy, although i like the susan bit

Honestly I was worried for s2 when episode 2 hit, that was a big snore for me where nothing really happened (refresher: that was the Brad episode). I've mentioned this a number of times before but Loki s1 for me was a lot of good highs with a lot of bad lows, so after ep2 hit I was worried the fun debut was just leading into another rollercoaster

but the rest were all pretty entertaining and like I just said this finale was just a huge hit for me that no other show finale comes close to touching (tbf d+ shows have largely failed to stick the landing)

Loki going full god mode with the massive horns was just absolute peak comics translated into live action for me, fucking loved it. I don't think I really considered Loki a fav character of mine but after this he's definite in that group now.

oddly you called your 5th attempt at saving your 1st, your 6th attempt at saving your 3rd, your 7th attempt at saving your 5th

then jump ahead correctly to 8 for your 8th save attempt (unfortunately your 6th valid one), start saving Donkey Kong like 8 times, then come back for your 9th & 10th attempted Fang saves, calling them X & XI when they're actually your 7th & 8th valid ones

I've only scanned the finals of XX like literally a few hours ago, but the numbers match up with lefty's finals stats posted in page 1 so yeah should be accurate

I wasn't keeping track while going through, but if it's anything like this year you've mixed up your save #s a couple times and saved early (your "XIII"th Vanille save was actually your tenth, your 6th or 7th was early, then you skipped the number 8 in your counting)

oh wait yeah that's it, I remember deleting 2 kateee saves in XX because they were early (one was like 20 minutes after another save)
