A good idea, I put a TV on a cart so I now can train indoors or outdoors or at a friend's place.

Started doing peloton classes with my Mom and whoo smokies is it expensive to do it regularly. $24.99 a month. That's a damn gym membership. She's currently doing them on the recumbent but I'm gonna get her to migrate to an upright soon and take my Father with her. I'll do the classes before or after work along with weights. It's enough exercise for a whole day but can also be the side dish on a full day of weights. Triathalon is gonna get rained out so I'm on the bike watching basketball and boxing this weekend.

Started rowing again and it's not much of a cardio workout but it definitely feels good to have that blood flowing through your legs

Can't quit cycling yet it seems. A short ride outdoors + a Functional Threshold Power test early this morning has me at 247. Going to lift weights today and ride the entirety of Thunder-Mavs Game 5.

I think the key is going to be doing workouts as opposed to just Zone 2 Riding or Robopacers. I've shyed away from Zwift Workouts because it's hard switching gears on a spin bike but it's truly a whole other dimension of training. Really felt like I haven't been consistent enough but I see things like this and it makes me feel a bit better.

I'm really confused as to why the Kansas City Chiefs kicker was invited to give a commencement speech. That seems like an incredibly bizarre choice

That is a real statement though.

His speech was not bad when looking at the school. The president of the school invited him after a similar speech at Georgia Tech. He's Catholic so this isn't too off-brand. Appealing to women to become mothers will help the falling birth rate in the religion and White American society.

It doesn't apply to everyone and he shouldn't mansplain to women but wives who have children and don't want to be mothers have had a negative impact on American society in my opinion.

Ok I'm at the end dude freestyled and kind of tried to go viral. His argument as a whole was not bad IMO. However it was a bad speech.

Think the University president wanted to boost enrollment by virtue signaling to racists, pro-lifers and parents who don't want their daughters to marry Black men or be gay. They do have deep pockets. Not gonna lie it's a sound strategy

No. Kids honestly need to learn how to bathe properly and taking them together with a person of the same sex is a good idea when they're very young.

When I worked in juvenile justice, there were 10 and 12 year old boys that didn't understand they had to actually wash their butts. When they showered. They would literally come out of the shower smelling like crap. My superior had to actually show certain kids how to bathe. Of course these kids didn't have parents to teach that kind of stuff.

Baths are also not as clean.

Best bath approach is to shower (off, at least) first, then bathe.

Baths are good for kids for the play time aspect tho.
Didn't learn this until I started watching Anime. Showering before bathing sounded like a waste of water before I really understood.

253lbs. Very bad week of eating and drinking after finishing my indoor cycling season. Pounds stacking because indoor training helped control my diet and calorie maintenance. Rode outside today before work and almost threw up on the side of the road because of how much I drank the night before. Also, being overworked is not good.

All of that being said I may do a triathalon next Sunday. There's a very good beach nearby and the event is doable, only downside is I'm broke.

She had a presentation on sustainability and it had a Moana theme. Everyone was partially in costume. Hula skirts over slacks, one guy had temporary tattoos. She had the best part of the speech and painted herself green and went as Te Fiti. The green accented makeup she used at first wasn't bad but when applying it, she ended up applying it all over her face, like a member of the Blue Man Group. The green paint was way darker than expected. She knew it was a mistake but took so much time she did the whole presentation in green face. She was reprimanded the next day.

Not gonna say what she went as but it was a pop culture character. It involved body paint and was seen as culturally insensitive. She could have possibly been arrested for the costume.

We want to do Halloween as a couple plus conventions over the next six months but we've gotten older and gotten a little out of touch. We know we want to dress for the events but don't have many recent examples characters we could portray. I mostly watch older anime and she doesn't watch much TV outside of crime dramas and murder porn. She does like dressing up though and she's open to playing roles but I'm not sure what to suggest.

She's 5'2" pale skinned and plus sized. I'm tall dark and hairy. About 5'10" Plus sized now but should be lighter in August.

Open to any suggestions, never really did this before.

In Metal Arms: Glitch In the System, it was possible to literally shoot a robot's arm off its socket, but in a such way that the arm remained connected to the robot by its wires. That meant that when the robot fired its weapon, its shots would go flying in whatever direction the loosely hanging arm would be pointed at that given moment.

A robot's arm flailing in every direction by the gun's recoil and the robots movements meant that none of the shots would ever land on you; however, since one arm held a gun and the other was reserved for lobbing grenades, a precise shot to that arm would guarantee hilarious but very beneficial friendly fire incidents!

He finally identifies himself and the Airmen peacefully comes to the door with his gun pointed down and is immediately shot by the officer. Not posting the video.

Cop should have waited for back up and this sounds like a case of swatting. Info I'm reading is that the guy lived alone and the argument the Karen heard was actually a phone conversation.

Smoothies are good if you have to take supplements because it helps you absorb them better.

This was Sunday. Kind of relieved the season is over. Orlando's market is too small to make the NBA money, it's cool. Been chilling since then. Re-arranging the house to do more outdoors during the summer. Taking some time off the stationary bike to do sprint sessions on the treadmill. Cycling folk say it helps overall fitness. I haven't ran at full-speed on foot in a while because I've been prioritizing Zone 2 stuff.

Yep. Getting way too hot for rides outdoors before school lets out. Normally I'd still be on the road riding but it's now 96 degrees with 60% humidity. Went through both my water bottles after 45 minutes and decided to cut my normal route short in the name of self-preservation. May get on the treadmill at my gym and watch the Champions League Semi-Final while jogging/sprinting. Still got some juice.

The reason I don't switch to dumbbells is because of the investment I've already made toward standard and olympic plates. They're great I just use equipment I've already bought.

Magic played a really good game to ride 50KM to. This was also my 50th Ride of the NBA season. I'm jealous of you guys that are steadily losing weight. 249 right now with a goal of 239 by 6/30 of this year.

Not being able to ride outdoors as much + good weight lifting + Not meeting my walking/running goals + The Magic playing fewer games per week leading to fewer indoor rides + GF trying new restaurants after our regular place shut down + an unhealthy relationship with alcohol during this Magic series + being "separated" from my GF due to medical junk that's my fault has me consistently gaining weight despite getting good activity.

From an Exercise Programming standpoint, I'm at a really exciting time. I'll have to change up my program and set new goals once the basketball season ends. I plan on racing more virtually and in real life so I'll need to increase my strength and speed along with my aerobic fitness. Probably will do sprints and high-intensity cardio along with heavier weights. Normally I avoid this to avoid injury risk but for 3 months, I think it will be perfect. Looking forward to rowing and boxing more too.

It's due to safety issues. I can lift a lot more than I do at home but I avoid it because I'd like to be able to get the weight off me if I fail and I lift alone. Same for legs when I deadlift and squat. My lifts are about 50-60% of my 1RM.

5 sets of 21 get you to 100 reps of a light weight and that helps you aesthetically, you get a serious pump even though it's not best for strength. I just kind of came up with it.

My old home program used to be.
5 sets of 21 bench
5 sets of 10 pull-ups
5 sets of 20 bent over rows (50-75lbs)
5 sets of 10 hang cleans-to-shoulder presses (same weight)

I used to do it as a circuit, one set of each one before moving on to set 2.

Trying to get back there in terms of volume. you can see it's a ton of volume for the glamour muscles at a lighter weight but if failure happens a spotter isn't really needed. To your point, it doesn't compare to a real gym workout in the slightest, but it's a pretty complete upper body program.

Rest-Pause sets are great. After reading how they work I can do them for legs and presses at the least.

Did a 15 mile ride while meeting with a support group over 90 minutes. Thankfully no one mentioned anything.
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/8/887fd371.png

Getting hard to ride in the afternoon. My outdoor cycling season may be wrapping up. Mornings and evenings are too dangerous to ride.

4 mile walk early this morning playing 2K. Gonna try to complete a 40 game season by the end of Q2. Averaging 2 miles a game.

Added 20lbs to my standard bench and Im now bench pressing 125lbs for 5 sets of 21

Still snatch grip deadlifting 235lbs for 10 sets of 5 and squatting 185lbs for 2 sets of 20. Like the development of my arms and traps. CNS feels awesome. Working to complete all lifts over the course of 2 hours.

I probably now have to ride bikes outside less because of the heat. I'll probably start racing virtually when it's cool at night. What lifts would you add to my program if I did all of this in one day? Can only lift 2x a week because of my cardio schedule but I have plenty of juice. Normally I would box but its a bit too hot to do that outside too. Pools are a little crowded due to the heat wave.

Would an hour of rowing on my machine be all I need to be balanced from a strength standpoint? Maybe pull ups?

And yes, user cjsdowg I would consider a pull up bar or trap bar, depending on your goals. Generally you should be doing pull ups if you do shoulder presses.

The Dark Knight Trilogy changing Rachel really ruined the romance part of the movie for me. I'm like, Bruce Wayne didn't fall in love with this chick!

In Game of Thrones, Cersei and her ex-husband not being in scenes together despite being on the same side didn't bother me.

The Cosby Show and Always Sunny in Philadelphia added a sister to the cast and that's not a problem because it allowed for more content.

Most stuff that bothers me involves re-shoots and never seeing the original script.

Black Panther 2 is a good example. Without getting into spoilers, the cute lead actress got into an "accident" on set and it changed how the movie was written. The ending of Kill Bill Vol. 2 is another good example. Uma Thurman's car crash ruined parts of that movie.

I've noticed that it's mostly a millenial thing.

My media teacher in college said that because we were the first generation to grow up with VCRs and syndicated TV we watched things repetitively and got deep into lore as a method to stay entertained.

Generation X focuses on where they were when they consumed the media.

Generation Z focuses on the conditions they were facing when consuming the media, they said. It makes sense because they go through so much content compared to us and they typically binge most of what they watch so lore isn't really a selling point until they reach the end
