It seems a little pointed when the first non-combat Zelda and the first one where you play as Zelda are the same game though.
I don't see it that way at all. It's good that the new protagonist can have their own distinctive mechanics in order to differentiate it from the games starring Link. If it's well received, it could be the start of a new series, and the idea could be expanded even more.

I think it's kinda cool that as the bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda's strengths rely on her using magic to approach situations strategically and using the environment to her advantage, rather than through direct combat.

Mr. Eko was only written out suddenly because the actor's mother was very sick and wanted out of the show to take care of her.
So I had heard back then, and it's a shame since it does hurt the show. I wouldn't really mind it if it was a one-time thing, but Lost had a tendency to kill off or write out characters to advance plot points without a proper resolution. It added up, especially considering how character-driven the show was. They were fantastic at creating interesting set-ups, but they'd often write themselves into a corner and be unable to deliver. It gave the impression they didn't have a vision, which is a big problem for a show that relied so much on setting up mysteries and/or dynamics.

Still loved the show, I even return to the soundtrack sometimes. It feels like it could've been so much more than it ended up being. The potential was there to be an all-time great.

It just doesn't seem to be a combat-oriented game, and I'm totally fine with that. I find the concept very exciting, even if it's not what you traditionally go into a Zelda game for.

Was beyond obsessed with the show when it aired, but it really is frustrating as an overall product due to its tendency to introduce characters or situations and give them unsatisfying or rushed conclusions. I know some of those were due to behind the scenes issues, but a lot of them are the result of bad planning or just coming up with the plot lines as they went along.

Lots of characters done dirty or that they basically seemed to regret introducing or didn't know what to do with, or who had to be written out suddenly. Mr. Eko, Danielle Rosseau (that entire trio felt like such a missed opportunity, really), Libby, Ilana, Shannon, Charlotte, Nikki and Paulo, Sun/Jin in the final season, etc. Female characters not named Juliet (and to a lesser degree Sun, maybe?) were usually far weaker in their writing and stories.

It was still a great ride, the fandom really made it special. I still say "WE HAVE TO GO BAAACK!" all the time even though nobody knows wtf I'm even quoting.

I enjoyed the game enough to 100% it a couple of years ago. Thought it was beautiful graphically, but the script left a lot to be desired. Lots of overdone tropes in the story as well.

The Frozen Wilds DLC was fantastic through and through, and I assume the remaster will include it by default, hopefully giving more people the chance to play it. It felt like they learned from the base game and improved it in every way with it.

Well, it's certainly unapologetic on its inspiration. Also, the logo immediately made me think of Newgrounds.

Cautiously excited because it will ultimately all come down to mission design. Character designs feel lacking to me in comparison, but I'll live. Re-Boot Camp was so hideous that I don't know if I could get excited for an actual new Advance Wars at this point if they kept that up.

The Wii U was such a colossal flop that it's impressive to see how much they managed to turn things around with the Switch, considering the uphill battle they had.

PS5 is doing better than I expected as well. Maybe the shortages increased the hype? It feels like PS5 exclusives are relatively low, and most stuff is still being released on the PS4. I have no actual data to back that up, just my own perception.

It was probably fun for Cate Blanchett to do something silly like this, even if the movie bombs/it sucks. She plays a lot of really emotionally demanding and serious roles that have rightfully earned her tons of accolades; nobody will think less of her for being in this. There's nothing to feel bad for her about.

I like the visual of 50 year-old Blanchett trying not to cringe at the humor for 14 year-olds that is Borderlands.

I'm more forgiving towards Kristoph because he's at least more interesting to interact with. Zak/Shadi has zero redeeming qualities, story-wise or character-wise. Olga's definitely the best part of this case, but her appearance is too brief to rate her much higher, methinks.

Yeah, at times quite late at night I've had the Internet die. Most of the time, it comes back really quickly, but admittedly, if it's been down for a while I just go to bed, so I couldn't really tell you how long it takes to come back up in those instances. I think it happened during the day like once? But it's very rare, and it's definitely better to the other services I tried before.

I feel like no service is going to be completely perfect, so I'm very happy with my choice. They gave me a G3100 router (they actually sent me two by mistake, so I just have the other in storage) and the process to get started was rather seamless.

I spend far more money on physical releases, and almost always prefer to get a physical release when available. I still buy digital for Steam/GOG for a ton of indie games (or games that I'd rather play on PC because mouse feels more intuitive than controller), but the amount I spend is comparatively very low.

I'm generally a very patient and slow gamer, so I never really buy games on release day. For preorders, I don't really mind the delay. I also like placing an order for pick-up in a store that is decently far out and biking there. Kinda feels like getting rewarded for the workout.

Would be awesome to get the Link's Awakening treatment for both Oracle games. There's obvious QoL improvements to make the same way they did with LA, the graphics from the GBC could obviously use a more modern lift-up job, and the two games could be released together and made more interconnected.

Sunshine's wonderful as is; the things it needs fixed don't require a full remake. The real offenders were the Shadow Mario throwaway shines, not the blue coins imo. The glitches (re: Pachinko, for example) could've (and should've) been addressed in the 3D All Stars remaster. The graphics and controls/mechanics from Sunshine hold up really well, I don't feel like it needs to be re-built from the ground up at all.

I don't think skipping the entirety of Disney history between its first film and the Renaissance is right. Jungle Book was a huge hit both critically and commercially, not to mention Walt's swansong.

Very torn between The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast for the Renaissance rep. Little Mermaid paved the way for the entire Renaissance, but Beauty and the Beast feels like the fully realized version of that Broadway-like vision that made the Renaissance what it was. idk. I'll just give the nod to the one that came first, as is often the case.
