If you want to learn to hit a baseball, buy an old broom and some plastic golf-balls.

Practice hitting the golf balls with the broom handle. Your hand-eye coordination will improve a ton.

As for fielding and gloves - most of that you need to practice with a friend. If you have a brick wall somewhere nearby, you can buy some tennis balls and practice throwing/pitching at the wall. It if is a wall you can mark, use some tape to put some 'targets' on it and practice throwing at the targets from different distances and angles.

The best answer IMO is late 80's into late 90's.

No loading times, no 1-3 hour tutorials, no loot boxes, no micro transactions, there were still printed books/manuals, consoles and games were still built to last physically, renting games was still a thing.

There are more reasons I'm sure, but that's just off the top of my head.

Rock + Classical = Dream Theater.

Some of it is a little metal-ish. Check out these two albums:

Metropolis Part II: Scenes from a Memory

The first song of Images and Words is a little Heavy. I'd check out Metropolis first if you have never listened to them before.

If you are self-employed, 1099'd, or own a business you can end up paying because you were expected to keep track of your own tax deductions.

People who are good with money will always owe or break even. They have the willpower to get more money per paycheck, invest it, and make more in the long run. I'm not sure how much more one can make that way.

Personally, I just have the maximum taken out and don't sweat whether I'll owe or not.

Go to a store where they actually fit you.

You will learn your sizes and find that dress clothes can be some of the most comfortable. I miss wearing suits every day, personally.

Here is some advice: You will likely spend 1/3 of your life sleeping and 1/3 of your life on your feet. Invest in a good mattress, a good pillow, and at least 1 great pair of work shoes. You won't regret it.

Disagree completely.

When I was single and living by myself I almost exclusively ate pizza. (this was circa 2002-2008)

Nearly every pizza place had $5 large one-topping pizzas. Just pick one up after work on the way home and you have a hot meal. You probably won't eat it all - so you'll have some left over for the next day.

Even if you do eat it all - eating at McDonalds costs $4 or so - so it is very comparable.

I've always wanted to try Jersey Mikes. But if it was disgusting, I don't know now.

I used to like Jimmy John's, but they are pathetic now. Subway actually gives you more meat on the sub.

Not sure what you consider a 'good' game if Chrono Trigger doesn't do it for you.

That being said - you are close to a major point in the game. I'd try playing it up until you get to the Kingdom of Zeal ( I'm not spoiling anything - but you aren't too far away) and if you don't like it by then, you won't.

Disgaea 1 has the best story and humor, IMO. It is a great game and should be played first. The reason being, Disgaea 5 has much better mechanics and system but not as great of a story. The real joy in Disgaea games however, is after you 'beat' the game.

My opinion: Buy 1, play it and beat it (doesn't take long). If you are into it - by all means play the post game stuff. Personally, I'd jump right over to 5 and start there. You can easily get 100+ hours on any Disgaea game, but once you play 5, the others seem a little clunky. The stories in 2-4 aren't really that great.

Once you get into Disgaea, most other tactics games are way too slow and boring (looking at you Final Fantasy Tactics)

I honestly don't understand how people think this is a good movie at all. There were SO many cringe-worthy moments and virtually NO plot.

Plus - it doesn't even tie in with the previous movie. If you watch VII right before VIII - they just plain flush away all of the setups or ignore them completely. No continuity whatsoever.

The Last Jedi is on the level of 1-3 at best. I could even understand arguments for the Prequil movies being better. . .

I'll agree that the humor was a lot more childish and animated than previous Star Wars that are typically deadpan. The iron scene was like some Spaceballs shit.

I watched TFA a couple weeks ago for the second time. What doesn't tie in? The OT and prequels also had their share of plot holes and nonsense. hello, midi-chlorians (that thankfully seem to have been abandoned)

There's obviously a lot being set up for episode 9. Episode 8 was about failure. Everyone important failed in some major way at some point in the film.

I'll give a couple off the top of my head:

The first movie? Kylo is all about trying to be vader and looking to him for guidance. This movie? All of the sudden anything to do with the past sucks.

The Knights of Ren. They just seem to no longer be a thing. I don't recall them being mentioned once.

The Map to Skywalker. He clearly states he didn't want to be found and went there to die. The entire map plot no longer makes sense.
To expand on the above point, R2 is the one with the map, and finally 'wakes up' and the end of the first move. Is he involved at all? Nope! He gets one tiny scene with a Nostalgia trip and that's it.

They set up a great scene at the end with Luke and Rey and then do what? Make a Spaceballs Joke? Seriously?

How about Chewie heading out with Rey at the end, then being reduced to an Uber driver?

Why did this movie suck? Without any good reviews I have no way of knowing. I'm not wasting my time in a theater to find out.

People that brigade downvote on movie rankings online are mad that the protagonists consist of things other than white men (Poe is not enough). They're really mad. That's why you see stuff like SJW thrown around about this movie. Ridiculous. Same shit was said about TFA except this film was much better and those kinds of people are now more vocal.

It was an enjoyable movie from start to finish and I went in with low expectations with that low IMDB rating. I've been a big Star Wars fan for over 25 years. It's a good movie, and among the best of the Star Wars franchise.
