People arguing for years over such a basic concept of what an RPG is and they forgot that the most important element of an RPG was its party mechanics. A game where you only control 1 character (and doesn't have a co-op party function) isn't an RPG, it's an action game. There is really no way around this.

Yes that means The Elder Scrolls games aren't RPGs and I am fine arguing that.

How do you spend 40 hours a week looking for a job? I'd try that, but I feel like that's not even possible. There are only so many new postings in a day and only so many that you can apply to. Were you just networking anybody and everybody at that time?

If there are not enough jobs you are qualified for that you can spend 40 hours a week looking for a job, then maybe the problem is you need to be qualified for more work in your area?

I think this can depend entirely on the field. For instance, most education jobs will post at the end of a school year. You would only find work driving a snow plow in certain areas at certain times of the year.

But I generally agree with the sentiments. If you can't find many job postings for what you do in your area, it might be time to get some skills for those jobs that are available.

SNES classic is no different than a Raspberry Pi with retroarch.

They are very different. The NES/SNES Classic are legal products sold by Nintendo. Raspberry Pi and other emulators are not legal products. You have to download pirated game ROMs to use with them. Downloading pirated ROMs is illegal period. It's just as illegal as downloading pirated movies or music or modern games.

That said, I use emulators on my PC, and I like playing old NES/SNES games on my PC with an Xbox One controller, but I am under no delusion that doing that is in any way legal. It is not legal at all. Downloading pirated files is illegal period.

Since I own nearly every NES cart and all of the important SNES ones I don't feel the least bit guilty having the roms on my machine. I already paid for them once.

Liberal Arts degrees are useless.
Considering various states in the US require a minimum of a Bachelor degree for teaching, does that mean you consider teaching to be a useless profession?

Yeah, but you can get a degree in education and then take the state tests for what subject you want to teach.

Like English, Math etc without having a degree in those subjects.

False.

It depends entirely on a state-to-state basis. Most states require at minimum a bachelor's in a subject area and a minor. If you desire to teach elementary, it is usually a triple minor.

A degree in gender studies, women's studies, or any other subject where your only hope of employment is replacing the instructor someday is pretty much worthless.

A two-year associate's degree in a field at your local community college (where you plan to live) is likely worth it's weight in gold.

In between the two are where the value depends entirely on how willing you are to work hard at your profession and where you are willing to live to seek employment in said field.

Yes, there is a large local chain that competed with Little Ceasers and offered $5 larges. They ran most of the chains out of town (dominos, papa johns, cottage inn, etc). All the chains that have come back offer $5 pizzas. If they don't in our area, they don't seem to stay in business.

Buy some ice cream if you don't already have it. It must be under 10 degrees for ice cream to stay solid.

If the Ice cream isn't solid, your freezer is warming up.

9/10 times, the cooling all happens in the freezer and the air is circulated to the refrigerator (on more expensive models they each have their own cooling)

IF you are hearing a sound, it is probably one of two things:

1) the fan in the freezer is being blocked. Probably (usually) by ice build up. Of course, fans also go bad, but they don't usually make noise if they go bad.

2) the compressor is starting to crap out. You probably have a leak in the system and have lost most of your refrigerant, so the compressor has had to work constantly to try and keep it cold. Might as well buy a new fridge if this is the case.

Everywhere you went, you heard people complaining about The Last Jedi. Real life, the internet, everywhere.

I didn't. Most of my immediate circle of friends and family, which includes about two dozen Star Wars nerds, enjoyed or loved the movie. A couple had pretty mixed feelings about it, and, yes, a couple didn't like it, but I never personally saw the sort of universal derision that people seem to claim exists for this movie.

And that's not my personal bias colouring things either. Because I love the Matrix sequels (the third movie in particular) and I know precisely one other person who shares my opinions on them; most of those same friends I referenced above hate said sequels, so you'll never hear me argue that they're well-liked.

I contrast this with the prequels.Literally no one I know liked those films; some people found either Episode I or Episode III (but, curiously, never both of them) tolerable, but that was about as high as the praise got.

Again, I'm not saying TLJ is universally beloved or anything, but based purely on my own personal experiences I wouldn't doubt what those articles are saying.

I have yet to meet someone in real life who actually liked it.
