I'm honestly struggling to understand how anyone can come to this conclusion. Speaking strictly of animation, the new She-Ra trounces the old in terms of fluidity, expression, effects, action, and sheer variety. It's flawed when it comes to consistency, and whether you like the character designs depends on preference, but the other categories pull it so far ahead that it's not even a contest.

And I'm not even saying that Netflix She-Ra's animation is anything to write home about. I'm just surprised that we're not all on the same page that 80's She-Ra and He-Man had animation worse than the typical Hanna-Barbera short.

The new animation looks like some twelve year old drew some anime portraits for RPG maker or something.

The original is so much better.

No it isn't. I've watched both (unfortunately - my wife likes the new she-ra for some reason) and the old animation is sooo much better.

The new she-ra is garbage.

I didn't think they could make animation look worse than the original, but they did it somehow.

He-man probably - but She-Ra holds up a little better, which isn't surprising since it was the last to come in the series.

Ghostbusters would be next.

I skipped it and started playing Bug Fables today - which so far is a great game!

Why should TEACHERS go back? They are most likely to be infected/die - no the kids.

I'm two books into Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn! I got really interested once I found out it had inspired A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm going to be reading The Men Who Stare at Goats today, non-fiction about the CIA's project Stargate, and then start To Green Angel Tower. I've enjoyed the series so far, but it does have some dry/slow moments that lose my engagement a bit. Overall I do like it, and it's cool noting some of the similarities and obvious influences it's had on other fantasy series. I'm probably going to break up the last book and read something between once I get halfway through since it's so long (I think it's like the same length as the first two books combined).

If you have the paperback versions - Green Angel Tower was split into two books. The hardcover is one large book.

The books are definitely large and take some time to get through. The 2nd book was the weakest, IMO.

Doesn't really matter. Both candidates are garbage choices.

I'd kinda like to see trump win again so the democrats are forced to take some time and present a real candidate in the next election.

I remember how disappointing the album was. But then, I was comparing it to Images and Words. I later grew to like it - but at the time it was a big downer.

No question, original Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Magician:Apprentice and Master by Raymond E Feist - not as great as I remember, but still not bad.
I also just finished Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams

Both good tolken-esque if you are into that sort of thing.

I literally play more games from pre 2000 than I do post.

The whole sequel trilogy is garbage. The only hope is that the rumors are true and Disney is going to retcon it.

Disagree 1000%. The unions are needed, and that job is not one people want to take at the moment - hence the current teacher shortage. Sure, go to school and get a master's degree and in the end MAYBE you can make $45,000 a year. And deal with all of the kid's BS from parents that don't care anymore and aren't on your side - everything is your fault.

Education is being destroyed because it has turned into a job no one in their right mind would take. The requirements vs pay vs job conditions aren't worth it anymore. It used to be tolerable because even though you had crappy pay you would get good benefits and a pension - but even that is gone now.

Don't care.

Most of the world is garbage anyway - there is more to see in the US than traveling anywhere abroad.

They aren't good - but they are better than the sequels in comparison.

If it is something I will use a lot, I have no issue investing in it. Examples:

I work 8+ hours a day. I'll easily drop 300-500 on my shoes between insoles, shoes, etc. I spent 1200 on my computer desk chair that I sit at for several hours.

I sleep 8 hours or so a night, so I spent a few thousand on the most comfortable mattress I could find. Worth every penny. That is 16 hours of every day - no money wasted.

If something will help me do a higher quality job at work, I'm ok spending some money on it at this point of my life - I figure I will get many, many years out of it.

I don't spend big money on things like games, movies, etc, however.

I also only spend what I have. If I don't have the money in savings - I'm not buying it.

How's the d-pad on yours? I have an SF30 Pro it's way too easy to do diagonals. I've died in Contra several times because I was pressing right and it thought I was pressing right and down and I jumped down into an enemy or a pit.

I have both the SNES with analog sticks and without, and the one that looks like a NES controller but has the extra SNES buttons.

I hardly ever use the one with analog sticks at all - I don't think I've used it in a year or so - I don't have any comment on that one.

I use the NES one all the time, however, and haven't noticed any issues with the D-pad. I've mostly played RPGs with it, however, so there may be an issue that I am unaware of.

All of the 8bit do controllers I've gotten are awesome.

The SNES 8bitdo is the best controller I ever owned.

Public school is, in most cases mandatory, and you are asking parents to possibly send their kids (and by virtue themselves) into a risky situation.

The number of infected are actually still very small in the US apart from specific areas (like NYC). There are 300 million people in the US, and about 3 million have been infected (about 0.01% of the population - it is probably larger than this, just going by latest confirmed numbers).

Schools are a really tough call, and there are no good answers.

It looks awful, but then so does the first one. Both are games I'd never play or very far down the list.

I know my opinions vary vastly from most current gamers, however.

Where does it end?

History is complicated. For example, the statue of Albert Pike was taken down. He was one of the first people to legislate/defend Native Americans. Technically he was on the Confederate side, but was charged with insubordination and treason.

He wasn't a perfect guy - but in reading through his Bio, he seems to have done more good than bad.

If you try to wipe every statue in history and only leave those who were pure, you will be left with zero statues. For example - how do people tolerate MLK statues in this day and age of the metoo movement when he was a known misogynist and womanizer? Should we rename every street that has any reference to anyone who owned slaves? There has to be a line somewhere, so where is it drawn?

The only three you should bother with are the first three:

If you want more after that, . . . maybe watch the prequils. The new movies are all awful.

First of all, study and hard work will almost always get you further than talent alone.

My biggest recommendation to students is this; if you plan to live where you are or somewhere close by, check the community college first. They tend to offer programs that the local economy needs. They are almost always cheaper and transfer courses to any big university nearby. The larger university programs are much more affordable when you factor in starting at a community college.

Detroit style deep dish is great. Not Chicago style, though, that stuff is gross.

While all lives matter, black lives have been disproportionately threatened, abused, killed and incarcerated. Are white, latino,Asian etc people being abused/arrested etc as well? Sure. Is there racism against pretty much everyone of any color even white people? Sure, but it's not even close to the level the african american citizens have faced (Although I would say it's pretty bad against the Latino community recently as well).

BLM is fine, because right now that is where the focus needs to be. We need to fix the justice system, the police force etc to ensure everyone is protected, and not persecuted in this country (I include latino americans as well in there and even asian americans were persecuted recently due to the virus). While there are other battles to fight, right now the battle is to ensure our dark skinned brothers and sisters are treated fairly and do not have to live in fear. If you believe ALL LIVES MATTER, good for you, then you ALSO believe Black Lives Matter and should get onboard with the current focus to end the extreme unbalanced justice system we have in this country.

To claim it is only Black people who die from police violence is irresponsible, IMO. Last year, for example, more unarmed white people died at the hands of police than black. While it is true that black people represent 13% of the population and that the deaths are disproportionate it isn't largely so. Even so, incarceration rates are not equal and disregarding race, males are disproportionately incarcerated vs females. You could almost re-brad to 'male lives matter'.

The movement should be focusing on police violence in general - but because of the racist overtones of the movement it has turned into nothing more than a modern-day lynch mob IMO. There is no clear goal or metric to determine any success - just angry people who are trying to inflict as much pain against people they feel deserve it.

I don't know - I don't feel like Clinton would have been much different.

It would just be a flip-flop of who complains about the president and all the same garbage.

There isn't a single reason you can justify the looting. It is inexcusable.

I never used to stop if gas was above 1.29 in the 90s. I have seen as low as 0.99. I've filled for 1.19 the last two weeks.

Everything above VI is sub-par at best.

Nearly every video game is a chore sim.

I can't speak for how long you are infected, but I just read that three minutes in the sun kills the virus. Doesn't help when it is inside you, however.

I remember Phantom Menace as being 'ok'. Not great but not terrible.

It is the only movie of the prequils that I can remember the beginning, middle, and end of. The other two movies blur together and I can't tell them apart.

The sequels are all a blur - I can't remember what goes with which movie. All three sequels were bad. There were some redeeming features in the prequil moovies.

Chrono Cross was one of the most disappointing games I can remember.

I'll agree that Chrono Trigger is the best game made to date.
