On WON Radio the other day Meltzer said Dunn is well aware the only reason he's still around is because of Vince and as soon as Vince leaves the business (or dies) Steph is going to fire him b/c she hates him.

I saw someone stream some RoH, I think it was what they showed on TV. Not entirely sure, but it had a tag match of Kings of Wrestling vs World's Greatest Tag Team.

Not using any names in that was a bit dumb. If I didn't know who they were and I was just watching, it'd be confusing.

i'm fine with gimmick ppvs generally.
just not as many as there are. cut the volume down, let stories flesh out, THEN do a ppv that makes sense. a gimmick can be just fine if you don't run what is it, 14 a year?

Well they've had a lot of gimmick PPVs.

Not as obviously gimmicky as MitB, HiaC, TLC or Elimination Chamber, but Survivor Series is a gimmick PPV, so is the Rumble, so was King of the Ring.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it (especially Hell in a Cell), but it's not...new. Right? I would personally keep Extreme Rules, TLC and Elimination Chamber anyway. Hell in a Cell and MAYBE MitB could go.

It's really not at all the same. Survivor Series, the Rumble, and KOTR all include one gimmick match in them, and usually NOT the main events. The reason the gimmick PPVs are so terrible is that they require the main events to be shoehorned into gimmick matches due to what month it happens to be with NO regard for the actual booking or situation.

I guess we could assume that the writers take the gimmick schedule into account when writing their storylines in the first place, but I'm not even close to prepared to give them that much credit. Also, it fails to take into account "What-If" scenarios regarding injuries, etc. I mean come on, exactly WHAT about this Punk/Cena/ADR situation makes HIAC seem needed, appropriate, or anything of the sort?
