The general public is literally hanging off of every word coming out of CM Punk's mouth.
As it should be.

I thought Impact was fine tonight, actually. It was pretty dumb that the "limited commercial interruption" was just used to shoehorn in more promos for their PPV, though.

think some hints of that do exist - WWE being impressed with Kings of Wrestling would liven up the tag division, Punk would liven up Raw, he can bring in Tyler Black and be his mouthpiece (fixing Tyler's one crucial issue), and Dragon could even work it well over on SD.
but that won't happen because there's too many heels as is. unless of course somehow the invasion is seen as a rebellious against Vince the bad guy. in which case.... it's an entirely different WWE.

The future must protect the clone's past. "Maybe it's a tentacle, molesting the planet itself. - Aschen Brodel.
I realize that all this is in probably no way actually connected, but I do love the general WWE kayfabe trend of "the company is not purely a meritocracy and they will give opportunities to whoever they want to, not necessarily whoever deserves it."
Started with Bryan last year on NXT, then the Nexus in general banding together to overcome being shoved aside, then Truth went nutso about how Cena is the golden child, then Orton got his completely undeserved title shot against Christian just to shove Christian to the side, and now Punk is raging against the machine.
I feel like all those other things almost set the stage for Punk to blow it wide open and have more credibility about it to marks who are paying attention than he would have had even 2 years ago.

I think one of the MitBs will fail this year. The commentators seem to be making a really big deal about how it's crowned a new champion every time, and how it's practically a "guarantee".
I don't know if they did something similar last year, but yeah.
Steiner just got screwed, he planned in advance, then AFTERWARDS TNA management changed his cash-in match into a triple threat
To be fair though, Scott Steiner did screw Kurt Angle over in Angle's rematch against Joe, hence the match change. What I thought was silly though, was when Angle got injured, Cornette still kept it a triple-threat match, as if TNA couldn't trust Steiner and Joe to put on a decent match or something.

there are two people Gabe wanted to be in wrestling before he even saw their ringwork. one was Moxley. the other was Punk.
...you get the picture. Moxley on the mic is fantastic. his ringwork does need improvement, yes, however WWE doesn't care about that as much. >_>; he's got the basics and a solid enough foundation down, but he's just okay there. honestly, him and Tyler can probably work together to improve on each other.

Tony Chimel opened the show and announced that CM Punk was suspended from the WWE (large chorus of boos) but had agreed to fulfil his contract and do house shows on this tour (loud cheers). CM Punk came out for an interview and went to shoot on the McMahon family but they cut the mike.

bad advice http://img.imgcake.com/viktorpnges.png
2. It was Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella, but The Bellas attacked Kelly before the match and Beth Phoenix ran out and made the save. Kelly Kelly & Beth Phoenix defeated The Bella Twins.
3. Zack Ryder defeated Primo. Zack worked as a babyface.
4. Evan Bourne defeated Jack Swagger.
5. Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston.
6. Kelly Kelly came out again and got four fans from the crowd to come into the ring. They had a dance off with the winner meeting WWE Superstar of their choosing backstage. A little boy won and chose to meet John Cena backstage.
Intermission
7. WWE Tag Team champions Michael McGuillicutty & David Otunga defeated Santino Marella & Vladimir Koslov.
The Miz came out and cut a great promo. He got massive heat. Alex Riley ran out and attacked him. The anonymous RAW GM made the match a Sydney Streetfight.
8. Alex Riley defeated The Miz in a Sydney Streetfight.
R-Truth came out and cut a promo.
9. WWE champion John Cena defeated R-Truth. CM Punk ran out and hit the GTS on Cena, but the ref was knocked out and was too slow to count so Cena kicked out. Cena won with the AA.
Other Notes: -Punk and a fan seemed to be getting into a heated argument at ringside, security had to come and kind of stop them.
-Truth took a kid's drink, took a sip and threw it to the ground and the kid started to cry.
-The Cena/Truth match was worst of the night at the start of it. It was way to slow for the first 10 minutes.
-Dolph/Kofi, Evan/Swagger and Rey/Punk were all really good matches.
Overall, a really enjoyable show!
They said they will be back in the very near future.
Zack's current winning streak:
4 matches
Also it seems like he really did turn face. His random NXT heel appearance was...just a random NXT heel appearance. I think NXT's gimmick is that pros go there and act the opposite of their alignment just because why the hell not.
