From: GANON1025 | #304 Also probably everyone knows but the Beat Hazard Ultra DLC is also on sale, and from what I played it's changed and add A LOT of stuff
I downloaded that a few days ago and never checked it, but now that one of the summer camp ticket things has Beat Hazard as one of the games listed I might take a look

Just a friendly reminder to everyone to buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl as soon as possible and use this patch with it, called Zone Reclamation Project:
Install ZRP by extracting the gamedata folder to your desktop, then copying and pasting the gamedata folder into your main stalker directory.
Edit the fsgame.ltx so that the second line reads true for both settings instead of false and true.
Run the modifier program located in the gamedata folder. You can use this to change various aspects of zrp.. Make sure to hit the apply button after each option change otherwise it won't stick.
After that, run the game and enjoy. Be sure to check out the readme with it for first time players.
What's the deal with ZRP? Does it change anything significant? I played through the entire game and encountered many bugs (mostly dealing with the PDA, quests, maps, etc.) but I just ignored them. It gives the game a sort of classic 1999 charm I think.
Oh yes. I have Clear Sky as well. *laughing-women.jpg*

ZRP is just a way of playing the game "vanilla" style but with some of the more annoying bugs removed. If you follow the "first time player" guide in the readme it's exactly like playing STALKER without mods, but with less enragement involved.
Though I did have one weird bug with the previous version installed: went to the Dark Valley where the Duty bros are and immediately got a quest without accepting one, to protect the Duty soldiers from bandits attacking. Saw no bandits coming so I went to the bandit fort and killed everyone I found there, nothing happened. No time limit on the quest either so whatever. Came back way later for some reason, and saw a bandit sneaking up on me near the fort. Killed him and then "LOL YOU PROTECTED THE DUTY SOLDIERS HERE'S YOUR REWARD". lolwut.
I basically needed the patch in the first place because the monsters from Red Forest I was supposed to be protecting Freedom from never actually came.
The only STALKER game I'm missing is Clear Sky, but after what I've heard everyone say about it I think I won't get it. Now if I only had a PC that could run them..

Colegreen_c12 posted... From: AfroSquirrel | #279 I'm up for this. Anything specific, or do you just want to see what comes up in the sales? If you gift me both Deus Ex's to Cole_Green Ill send you the frozen synapsis
Deal. You might need to PM me your email, though, if I can't find you through that username.
EDIT: Yeah, Steam is being derp and not finding your account.
I think I'll get STALKER, AI War, and the King Arthur DLC.

oh well I caved in and got Modern Warfare. Now I just need MW2 to complete all the CoDs from this gen. I'd prefer to get that on PS3 though. I only got MW1 on steam because the PS3 version doesn't have trophy support.
Picked up Invisible War (already have the original Deus Ex). And just because I desperately want to play them I picked up the Oddbox. Good lord I love both of the Abe games. And I can finally try Munch's Oddysey and Stranger's Wrath. So stoked. I was thinking of waiting until toward the end of the sale, just in case it went on sale further, but I figured that at most a buck or two more, so why not.
You can record videos with Steam? The freebie achievement leads me to believe so but I don't know how. I know you can take screenshots, and with games like SpaceChem and Frozen Synapse you can upload videos directly to youtube (never works right though). Someone know how to do this? I checked the settings and I don't see a key for record video, unless I missed it.

sims 3 stuff is correct. Throughout the sale, Sims 3 pack has been $80, and the individual parts would add up to much more than $80. But now, each individual part is further on sale, so that if you bought each part individually, it adds up to $81. The pack as a whole remains at $80, but the difference between buying the pack and buying the parts is now only $1 total, just for today.

It worked fine for me a while ago, but then I had to go and have food... now when I hit Play the 'Preparing to Launch' box comes up for a few seconds, then it just drops me back to Steam. No game, no error, nothing.

Bahaha, the picture for today is fantastic, I laughed pretty hard at the idea of Mr. Foster and the L4D crew going egging. Anyway, the only thing on sale today that some people should get but might not have is Killing Floor.
