Just a heads up, it seems Sanctum will be one of the daily deals tomorrow. Though, after watching a video on it, I wasn't all too impressed and other reviews seem to suggest that the game is good but not super awesome. So eh, I won't be getting it, but if you really like the tower defense/fps it might be worth a look.

to answer the gothic question: they are not bad games (well the 1st might be, never played) but they are quite outdated by now. it's very open, a ton of quests, and an easy timesink. battles are a bit more realtime than the wrpgs of its time as well. but 2 is old and shows it in every way. 3 is newer but quite frankly i wouldn't pay for it and its expansion pack separately either. gold editions are meant for that.

Cold Stream is pretty awesome. Even without the polish it'll be getting by it's "official" launch, I'd say it's one of the better campaigns.
