After going through the big book of names and just throwing out some letters myself, I've come up with this list for Stri. Assuming Hussie doesn't go phallic on us and go with the most obvious choice (mysteries yo, private eye, his name may as well be Richard for all the mad detective stuff he could do... you know, provided he cared and didn't think it was a waste of time), we have quite a few options.
Likely Names: Dice, Dime, Dirk, Ding, Dito (play on Ditto), Dill, Dive, Dizz, Dink, Dion, Dine, Diss, Dial, Divs, Divy Ironic Names: Dies, Dide, Didd, Digg, Digs, Dibs, Dist, Dien, Dims, Dimz, Diez, Digo, Dike, Dint, Dips, Dimo, Diya, Dizi, Dize, Diyo, Dini, Dimi, Dino, Divo, Dizo, Dilo, Ditt, Dile, Dipp Not likely enough: Diza, Diya, Dixi, Diwa, Diwo, Diva, Divi, Didi, Diti, Dity, Dita, Diro, Dipo, Dior, Diop, Dinu, Dinh, Dima, Dika, Diku, Dila, Dipe, Dile Just replace vowels where appropriate to come up with other ironic or (most likely) unlikely alternatives. LtM got most of them, but here's a few great ones not on that list:
Descend-Possibly my favourite track, and it's a medley of a ton of Homestuck songs that works really, really well on its own. Pretty good for a taste of Homestuck music. At the Price of Oblivion-Also in the running for my personal favourite. Terezi Owns-A remix of Upward Movement, and IMO the best version. Atomyk Ebonpyre-The instrumentation isn't amazing and it's rather short, but dat melody. Like Doctor, has a ton of remixes. Rex Duodecim Angelus-This does require some familiarity with the trolls to fully enjoy, but it's still really strong on its own. Homestuck-The song, not the series itself. Quite a bit different to most other pieces, and really relaxing. How Do I Live (Bunny Back in the Box version)-A cover, and a really good one. Gets a bit of the series' humour across while also being perhaps the best version of that song on an unironic level. Am I the only person who really dislikes Upward Movement? The only good thing about it is when it comes back in a pretty cool way in Descend.
I'm trying to put together a tracklist of just the important Homestuck songs that actually appear in the comic, and I'm having a hard time with Upward Movement because it is sort of a major song but I just don't like it, but I feel like I'm making the tracklist imperfect if I take it out. ... Nah, Upward Movement is great. Simple, catchy, and has a great beat. Plus it's pretty iconic in terms of HS music. Definitely one of my favorites.

Oh well. I'm actually in a pretty big minority in thinking a lot of Homestuck's music isn't that great. Most of the stuff that actually gets used in the comic is good though, some of it is excellent, and the way it gets used in the animations is always done well, so it's good. But there's some stuff that people really like that I don't get it.

What about Black Rose/Green Sun (or the Cascade version, Black Hole/Green Sun)? Both of them were really awesome when they showed up in-comic and I think they're pretty good songs too.

Man, listening to Aggrieve Remix (for the first time of course) right now. This song fluctuates between okay and utterly painful.
Also, if there's one song that should NOT be listened to until after it is encountered in the series proper, it's Black Hole, Green Sun.
