I still never stopped wearing XL and XXL in spite of losing 70 pounds. I've never felt comfortable in restrictive clothing, so I've been wearing the same sizes for the past decade in spite of it never actually being an appropriate fit. In a pinch, they can also cover as small blankets.

Sadly, I'm so used to reading messages in that flavor of text thanks to Terezi that I didn't even realize what was so special about the picture until I made it through, "This message serves to prove how our minds can do ama- oh, right, it's numbers."

I had way more trouble than I'd like to admit reading Gamzee and Feferi's text. Gamzee hurt my eyes and Feferi made no goddamn sense until I actually thought about it every sentence even though it really wasn't that complex. I just couldn't do it automatically for some reason

I think I went on a personal hiatus around the time that post was made since that was around the time of S Flip. I had missed some previous updates and didn't have to wait as long as everyone else before the 9 day drought was up. Even the "Great Robosmooch" reference was only a 7 day long update drought. Every other instance of update shortages tend to occur about once every 2-3 months where Hussie will go 6 days without an update, so those actually aren't very long in comparison to the really big one that I'm about to mention.

The one I do remember though was going nearly 2 months (Sept 6 to Oct 25) without an update while waiting for the S Cascade flash. That was the most anxious I ever remember being while waiting for a Homestuck update.

I remember it was around the time of my 21st birthday in September '09 when I read all of the available strips up until the time WV started gathering cans for his town. In all that time, the lead into S Cascade is really the only time I remember feeling any amount of frustration about a slow update. Admittedly, I did refresh enough times during Robosmooch that I have Hussie's "Kissing style" ingrained into my memory, but I never got so tired of looking at a platform while waiting for that flash.

There was only one other time I went anywhere near as long without and update for any reason and that was when I got addicted to... Naruto and Harry Potter fanfiction. I had just started a couple of really long stories right before the first [I] Intermission started. Thinking that it was just a Midnight Crew callback and that the Intermission was irrelevant to Homestuck, I mostly just didn't read them while I spent the next month using my free time to read various fanfiction and closing Homestuck any time I saw the [I] updates.

When I did come back, I was more interested in Homestuck than the Intermission, so I skipped to the end to see the Spades/Karkat interaction that I thought was just supposed to be a parody of WV/John. Overall, it was a month without me paying any attention to the updates, which was entirely my fault and not Hussie's.

I didn't even get around to reading the Intermission until much later, some time between post-Hivebent 6 months later to around [S] Jade: Enter about 9 months later.

To follow up on my earlier statement about Hussie's artistic "kissing style," there was a time when I purposely kept from updating my bookmark just so I could keep the bookmark on Karkat's kissing fantasy even checking the bookmark every day and looking at the update list at the side of the page even after that particular page fell into the archives, I still didn't see that kissing scene nearly as many times as I did by constantly refreshing Robosmooch.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who really doesn't like Gamzee's text.

It was bad when I first started it, but got better pretty quick. Having said that, his later gimmick was still appreciated.

The only that has stayed hard to read is Sollux (original).

My younger teenage sister is slow at getting around to reading it, but she's made it about as far in the past 6 months and does like it when she finds the time. I think that once she makes it a little further past the mechanics phase, she'll probably end up sitting down for hours to finish the series in one sitting.

The day she heard about Homestuck, she made the mistake of reading the honk HONK conversation over my shoulder while I was doing an archive binge. That night, her facebook status went to, "from your veins will drip my miracles," and her laptop suddenly filled up with Gamzee fanart. It gave her some high expectations that will take a while for the series to live up to, but it did get her hooked.

When all the text for the first 50 odd pages doesn't use pesterlogs, it's not that weird of a conclusion.

I thought it might not be necessary, but read it anyways and quickly realized it was.

I didn't realize the Pesterlogs were necessary at first either. I pretty quickly realized they were, like after the second or third one, but at the time I didn't understand Homestuck well enough, I didn't even know what a Pesterlog was supposed to be. Remember, guys, we all "get" Homestuck now, we have the advantage of perspective, but Homestuck is a thing that nothing else is really like, so it's easy to not understand the narrative's mechanics at first.

I also didn't realize the animations were necessary at first, like some of the really early ones. Rereading the first couple of acts, I actually realized there were a few flashes that I skipped right past.

Trying to be as honest as I felt was possible, I ended up with that. Some things were *very* close though, so it could have just as easily ended up as Mage of Life or Seer/Mage of Space. All things considered though, I'd say that either Seer or Mage of Life would be most scarily appropriate. It was definitely entertaining. Like an above poster, there was an update that occurred while I was taking the test, but I don't regret taking it.
