WWF WORLD TITLE MATCH:

Kurt Angle Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (c)

Stone Cold can't even reach the ring and Angle's already owning his ass. We're in the ring and Angle's daring Austin to go for the Stunner.

Now Angle's using the Thesz Press and Austin's reluctant to do anything. Austin's already on the top turnbuckle and he takes a lot of chops. Angle's relentless right now and Austin falls to the outside.

Austin is now put on top of another turnbuckle and Austin fights back and now Angle's back up and there's the superplex. Both guys are hurting in the neck area. stomps from Angle and Austin has ben grounded.

Right hand by Angle and now a sleeper hold by Austin, Angle's fading and there's a jawbreaker to escape. JR's giving us a lot of Kurt Angle history.

Austin's taking the belt and he's walking away. Kurt throws Austin off the ramp and on to the concrete floor. Kurt's heading towards Austin and he's stomping on him some more. Hebner's telling him he can't win there.

Angle going after Austin with chops and stomps. Kurt's decided to remove all the padding outside the ring, Stone Cold runs in from behind with a knee. Austin's attempting a piledriver and Angle uses a backdrop.

The champ's been busted open and Angle's chopping away again. Now Angle's going for the piledriver and HE gets countered into a backdrop. Kurt Angle and Stev Austin fighting on top of the Spanish announce table.

Oh hey check Austin throwing down the camera man. Angle's elbow goes right into the neck of Angle. Austin's now starting to target the neck of one Kurt Angle. USA chants and Austin's hitting away.

Again Austin's going after the neck and Austin just went to taunt Angle's family. Chop misses and now Angle's on the offensive again and Austin attacks from the second turnbuckle. Cover and Angle kicks out.

Snapmare and Austin again is going for the neck with a reverse chinlock. Angle with a rollup and now Austin reverses and Hebner's struggling to make the coun.

The fight moves to a vertical base again, well Angle's getting pummeled, the situation reverses, and there's another change of momentum and Angle stops this by going for a german suplex. THERE'S ANOTHER ONE AND A THIRD!

But it appears that Angle messed up his own neck using all those germans. Angle's going for the moonsault and Austin knocks him back down. Kurt Angle with a crossbody and Austin strugges to get back up, spinebuster and Angle's down.

Low blow, Angle rolls out of the ring to recover, Austin's about to come after him. This time there's a low blow by Angle and a DDT! Stone Cold's fallen out of the ring. STUNNER FROM ANGLE! Austin kicks out of his own move.

The straps come down Angle slam countered into an Angle Slam by Austin and Angle KICKS OUT! Stone Cold's getting mad and he's thinking piledriver. THERE IT IS! PIEDRIVER BY AUSTIN! KICKOUT! Angle's about to take take a stunner, but Austin taps out tto the Ankle Lock!

New champion! Austin's tapped out! The Angls are all celebrating even the token back guy. OH hey look there's the Rock and the rest of the locker room out there to congratulate him.

Sadly, Kurt Angle's huge WWF title victory only lasted two weeks, as Austin got a rematch (courtesy of RVD) and then William Regal turned heel and helped Austin win his sixth (and final) WWF Championship!

The WCW Tag Team titles changed a bit, first when Booker T and Test won them from the Brothers of Destruction, and then again when the Hardy Boyz obtained them from Booker and Test. Finally, the Cruiserweight Championship changed hands when Billy Kidman won the belt off of X-Pac. To show X-Pac's heel status, the crowd cheered when Kidman won the belt!

Also, the next people to leave the company during this period are KroniK. Staff were not impressed with KroniK's performance at Unforgiven, so they told KroniK to head to developmental territory to improve their skills. Thinking they were better than that, KroniK told the WWF to **** off and quit under their own terms.

WWF/Alliance shifts this time period
- William Regal (joined and was appointed as Commissioner of the Alliance)
- Christian (tricked Edge into believing their mom had an emergency, and then ambushed him with 3-4 Alliance members, declaring himself a member of the Alliance)
- Molly Holly (joined the Alliance as The Hurricane's sidekick, Mighty Molly, dumping Spike Dudley in the process)
- Mick Foley (with Regal now in the Alliance, Vince appointed Foley as the Commissioner of the WWF)

WWF World: Steve Austin
Intercontinental: Christian
Tag Team: Dudley Boyz
European: The Hurricane
Hardcore: Rob Van Dam
Light Heavyweight: X-Pac

WCW World: The Rock
United States: Rhyno
WCW Tag Team: The Hardy Boyz
Cruiserweight: Billy Kidman

The product as a whole doesn't improve until roughly Fall 2002, and that's only in SmackDown's case for the most part. Lesnar and the SmackDown six > all. Then it takes a snag in 2003; guess all good things must come to an end >_>

Good luck with SmackDown in 2006; after WrestleMania 22, it was a steaming pile for the rest of the year. At one point, the following superstars were out for various reasons...

- Taker (took a 2-month hiatus after Judgment Day 06)
- Orton (still on 60-day suspension, but was heading to Raw anyway, lolz)
- JBL (retired from active competition)
- Batista (injured for six months)

Enjoy lukewarm SDs where the main eventers are Rey Mysterio, Booker T, Mark Henry (who would soon get injured for almost a year), and The Great Khali.

Then again, Raw in 2006 wasn't much better. Good luck with that whole year in general.

King of the Ring 2001

Wait, who's music is this? It's DDP. We comes out of the crowd, he's not even supposed to be here because he's from the WCW.

We're already on the semi-finals. I wonder who got eliminated before the PPV even happened.

Semi-finals: Kurt Angle vs. Christian

"Let's go Angle" chants, the crowd favors him now?

Christian climbs to the top corner and is knocked off onto the barricade. Angle's hitting every kind of suplex he can think of.

Shane is walking out mid-match to watch Angle. Angle's distracted and misses a moonsault. Ankle lock! Christian grabs the ref and crawls across him to get the ropes. Unprettier! But Shane pulls Christian off the cover. Angle slam and Kurt wins.

Benoit and Jericho want to take the title to WCW. Okay.

DDP's a stalker and wants to go after the biggest name.

Oh, let's give DDP more mic time. And what's this, someone stalking DDP back?

Semi-Finals: Edge vs. Rhyno

Rhyno spits in Edge's face and both guys are looking good early. Some back heel kicks, dropkicks, chops, and so on. They head outside to drop each other on the barricades and things slow down a bit.

Edge goes into an exposed turnbuckle and Rhyno's hitting him hard. A bodyscissor, JR is baffled at how outdated this move is. Rhyno goes all out on a flying splash and hurts himself a bit too. Edge fights back, sunset flip from the top rope. Almost botched that one bad but he held on.

Gore and spear collide! Both guys are down. Rhyno tries another gore, he runs into the exposed turnbuckle and Edge wins!

Spike Dudley is fighting with the Dudleys now. He's also dating Molly Holly now I guess.

Jericho won't tell if he's going to WCW or not. Tazz does an awful lot of mic work these days and not much wrestling.

Dudley Boyz vs. Spike Dudley & Kane

Kane finds the most random tag team partners sometimes.

Bubba and Kane play catch with Spike. Spike and Kane keep tagging themselves in, not good teamwork.

Spike gets caught in the ring now, D-Von with a nice legdrop from the corner. Spike tries a sunset flip, almost doesn't make it over. Spike is powerbombed, somehow kicks out.

Hot tag to Kane, he's fighting two guys at once. Power bomb to Bubba, whoops D-Von doesn't get over to break the cover in time. Spike with a bulldog, but the cover is broken again.

No wassup this time, they just headbutt immediately. 3D on Spike and Dudleys keep the belts.

Kane chokeslams Bubba through a table after the match.

We get more videos of someone stalking DDP. What an angle this is.

Former King of the Ring Billy Gunn is stuck in New York instead of at the PPV. Hahaha.

Hey we're already on the finals.

Kurt Angle vs. Edge

Oh yeah, these two were buddies. Angle wants Edge to give up so Angle can win his later match. Looks like a face turn for Edge.

Belly to belly suplex over the top rope. Edge is really selling those hurt ribs.

This match is pretty plodding right now, Angle's not even going for many suplexes. Oh here's one. Now some action outside.

Edge hits a hurricanrana from the top and both guys are worn out. This is an advantage for Shane later on. Angle's trying his slam and ankle lock, can't get either one on.

Christian runs out as Edge gets a cover, this plan is backfiring. Angle ducks a clothesline, ref down. Ankle lock and Edge taps but the ref is out. Shane is here! He spears Angle.

Edge gets up hits an impaler DDT on Angle and he's the new King of the Ring!

Oh here's DDP again. They haven't gone a match without touching on this thing.

Edge is king and it is the era of awesomeness.

Light heavyweight action! I always forget about this belt. I hope there's some good quick action!

Jeff Hardy vs. X-Pac

Oh jesus christ my excitement for this match just dropped to zero.

Action's pretty quick at the start, some armdrag takedowns. Jeff wants to run across the barricades but fans are leaning on it so he just has to jump on and jump off.

X-Pac hits a springboard crossbody and he's trying to play to the crowd a bunch. We need that "We're not booing you because you are a good heel, we are booing you because you are a terrible worker" sign.

Bronco buster misses. Jeff hits a dropkick, X-Pac tries the same move and misses. And here we've got a botch, X-Pac springs out of the corner for some reason and tries leaping while being speared?

Shirts come off and high pitched screams. X Factor and Jeff gets his foot on the ropes, the ref notices at the last second. Swanton lets Jeff keep his belt.

Regal has some lackey with him, wonder who this is. Austin uses a rotary phone to call Vince, who isn't present. He wants Vince to come, he can make it in time. Can he? Oh, well, google maps tells me the drive is 49 minutes, and with traffic can be 58 minutes. There's over an hour left, he can make it in time!

Are we seriously showing more DDP stuff. Oh, Sara's the one stalking DDP.

DDP vs. Undertaker

Taker is squashing DDP until DDP hits a low blow. And now DDP is almost comically overselling. Here comes Sara. She's got a video camera.

More squash action until DDP gets a chair. Five minutes into this unofficial match Heyman and JR are calling for some semblance of order to be restored.

After more squash action, DDP's had enough of this and he walks out of the arena. Oh.

Street fight: Shane McMahon vs. Kurt Angle

Angle jumps right in with suplexes all over. Shane with a couple punches and Angle's already got some bleeding from his face.

More suplexes as they say Angle is a doctor at suplex school. Still none of that street fight stipulation coming in to play.

Up to the barricades, Shane leaps over the announce tables. Kendo stick time. They're spending some time out of the ring now, both guys hitting the apron. Angle is pushed into the stairs now.

In comes the garbage cans to the ring, Shane's got a street sign. Now Shane's got an ankle lock! And now he does Rock's crossover DDT. And now he's trying a sharpshooter, where did he learn all these moves. He falls on his face at first but he gets the sharpshooter on. Angle breaks free with a kendo stick.

Angle's kicking out of everything still. Shane wants a shooting star press, Angle moves and Shane lands on the garbage can. Back out of the ring they go, suplex to the ground. And whoa, belly to belly suplex and Shane is tossed right into the wall. Once more and he's suplexed through glass! Both guys are cut up and bleeding.

One more suplex into another window, this one fails to break the first two tries too. Finally Angle gives up and just runs Shane through it. Angle uses a cart and slides Shane back to the ring, a kick out?

Shane grabs a garbage can for some hits, then does his own Olympic slam. Another kickout. A big sheet of wood is put in the corner, Angle stands on it and olympic slam! Crowd's going nuts, Angle gets the win.

Austin's mad at HHH for losing the tag belts, he's mad at Linda for making the match. Austin stunnered molly Holly! Why!

Double submission! Crossface and walls and Austin tapped out! He needs to win to remain with Vince.

Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin

This is pretty much a handicap match and Austin tries running away through the crowd. Now Jericho and Benoit are giving Austin tons of chops. WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO WOOO WOOOO.

Benoit and Jericho are finally fighting each other as Austin removes a turnbuckle cover. Walls of Jericho! But it's stopped and Jericho goes into the exposed turnbuckle.

Austin and Benoit going at it for a while, Jericho out for even longer. Stunner try, but the ref is bumped. Benoit hits a stunner of his own! No count though. Now a shot from the belt, Jericho's here to stop this count.

Now Austin wants to put walls of Jericho on Jericho, but it's stopped. Heyman wants to talk about Montreal, JR will have none of that.

Benoit's trying to get in the ring, Jericho does a springboard dropkick out of nowhere to hit him. Now a blocked lionsault. Thesz press is kind of botched, Benoit's got a chair and Jericho gets hit! Stunner on Benoit!

Two suplexes from the top corner from Austin, JR is selling the hell out of these. Benoit runs in for five german suplexes. He wanted to keep going for more. Jericho puts on walls of Jericho, he tells Austin "fight it! Fight it!" Austin fights it! Crossface crippler too! Austin taps out! Hebner can't call two winners.

Benoit and Jericho are fighting, Austin's hit with a chair. BOOKER T IS HERE! He's beating up Austin! Thrown through a table!

Jericho counters a suplex with a roll and gets the walls of Jericho! Rope break. Jericho with a toss and bulldog, he tries a lionsault, I can't tell if it hit or not.

Everyone's outside. Jericho gets Austin in the ring, moonsault. Benoit hits a diving headbutt on Austin, Jericho pulls away the ref. Some suplexes, everyone is out. Austin crawls over to Benoit and gets the pin.

Where was Vince this whole time? I don't know. But the last two matches were both entertaining.

Star of the PPV: Kurt Angle

Botch of the PPV: Shane being suplexed into glass and the glass not breaking three times.

No Mercy 2001

We've got a triple threat on our hands with Austin, Angle and Van Dam all fighting for the gold.

St. Louis crowd tonight, no superstar will ever make a name for himself coming from there.

The match tonight will be no DQ, can't remember anyone ever getting DQ'd in a triple threat.

WCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:

Hardy Boyz Vs. Lance Storm and The Hurricane

Ivory's with Lance Storm and Hurricane's got Molly at his side. Hurricane is posing and actually gets the upper hand on Jeff Hardy.

But maybe too much posing, and he's too quick for Jeff, armdrag and Matt tags in. Double team and Matt's in trouble already.

Storm's gives Hurricane a fist bump which counts as a tag, Jeff's back in. Both hurricane and Storm are struggling, Ivory holds jeff's leg and Storm takes advantage of the situation.

Hurricane gets knocked down by matt before doing a dive. Molly helps out Hurricane and there he dives and everyone's been knocked down.

Storm with a tag and Jeff gets hit by a dropkick, nearfall. Double team and again a nearfall. Kick to the gut and Storm's got the upper hand, but Jef runs up the turnbuckle and knocks down Lance.

Hurricane makes the run, Lita's so distracting, reverse mule kick and here's Matt to clean house. Neckbreaker and Storm with the save.

Now it's the Hardyz double teaming and Hurricane gets a rollup on Matt and that was close. Bodyslam and Matt's going up and here's the legdrop. Hurricane kicks out at two.

Double kick to the jaw and Jeff saves the titles. Lita jumps Molly Ivory from behind and Jeff with some man on woman violence.

Lita with a rana on Hurricane, things got chaotic and there's a twist of fate and a swanton and its over. Not sure what was going on at the end but there were a lot of highspots.

Regal tells RVD to not do anything he might regret later, here's Mr. McMahon and Cole helps him with his jacket. Vince is here to make an "impact"

Test Vs. Kane

Bastion of WCW Test facing of against Undertaker's brother. Plenty of punches early on and Test is being overwhelmed.

JR is comparing this to a heavyweight boxing match. Powerslam by Kane and nearfall, Nick Patrick is the ref. Kick to the face by Test, hotshot by Kane and now Test gets thrown over the top rope.

Look at how big and strong these men are. Test has got the ringbell and Kane gets knocked down, no DQ here. Test manhandling Kane right now. Slam and Test goes for the cover and falls short. Kane with a clotheslin and a legdrop misses.

Test is a speedy big man in this match, but Kane's kicking out of all his power moves. Test and Kane slugging it out, Kane obviously wins that battle. Sidewalk slam from Test, he's circling Kane and he'll go up top and the elbow misses.

Missed clothesline, there's a neckbreaker from Kane. More trading of heavy right hands, big boot to Test's face. Suplex and here's the cover, kickout. Elbows followed by a sidewalk slam. Kane clotheslines Test to the outside. Big Boot by Test and down goes Kane.

Kane keeps kicking out and Test is bleeding from the lips. CHOKESLAM BY KANE! Please end this match, noooo Test kicked out. Right hands and a powerslam, how many times have we seen that sequence in this match.

Clothesline from up top, Kane misses and Test goes for the pump handle slam and Kane kicks out! Elbow from the top by Test and again Kane kicks out. Test can see how useless he is right now.

Chair incoming and Kane dropkicks Test and now Kane's got the chair. Nick Patrick tries to take it away. Test with a big boot, finally Test pulls off the win.

Kane pulverises Nick Patrick post match.

Coach is chatting with Debra, he wants to talk to Stone Cold Steve Austin, Debra relays the messages since Austin doesn't want to talk to him.

Hey here's Keibler and she wants Matt Hardy to check her out. We've got a Lingerie match coming up next. JR sounds so damned hyped about this.

LINGERIE MATCH:

Stacy Keibler Vs. Torrie Wilson

This match is what the invasion is all about. This won't be a Jack Brisco vs Dory Funk jnr match.

Match is on, hey look Stacy can do cartwheels. Both women are wrestling barefeet apparently. Here's som slapping and Jack Doan's getting his ass pounded.

Plenty of rolling around and hey a sunset flip and some reversals. This is all over the place, crowd seems to like it!

Right hand by Torrie and there's a snapmare, cover kickout. Torrie copying Tajiri, oh and she just won the match.

Angle and Vince don't seem to be getting along too well. Christian facing Edge tonight. Christian always feels like a poor man's Edge.

Christian has joined the alliance, he can be as successful as Test.

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH:

LADDER MATCH:

Christian (c) Vs. Edge

Brawl outside the ring to kick things off. Edge is not letting up and Christian escapes to the ring and starts stomping on him, Edge reverses and there's a kick to Christian. Irish whip but christian's able to bail and he brings in a ladder.

Dropkick to the ladder and Christian's been floored. Over the barricade he goes and we're going to be seeing some crowd surfing. Christian's being stomped on and he fights back with a slew of right hands. Back over the barricade he goes.

Edge takes the ladder and sets it up, Christian's face crashes into it. Edge's now controlling the ladder but Christian goes for a rake to the eyes and Edge is dropped on the stairs. Both guys are standing on the ladder, Christian drops through a gap.

Right hands by Edge and he's hammering away again in the corner, the ladder's finally about to enter the ring proper. Christian jumps on it and it goes right into the face of Edge. Christian's the first to climb the ladder, Edge pushes it down, clothesline by Christian.

Ladder's being rammed right into Edge and there we go chairs are being used, Edge uses a snapmare and Christian gets slammed right on the ladder. Edge just drops Christian on the ladder and both men are now down. Reversed irish whip has Edge crashing and burning.

Stomps by Christian again in the corner and he's setting up the ladder again. Edge gets slingshotted from underneath the ladder.

We've got a ladder race now as both mn have setup ladders and are climbing, Edg grabs Christian from behind and they both went flying there. Christian's spine has been totally compressed if we use JR's language.

Edge is now alone in climbing, but he's hurt, Christian's dragging himself behind, he's caught up to Edge and an eye for eye here with Christian driving Edge right into the canvas. Christian's got two chairs in the ring and he's setting it up!

Kick to the fac by Edge and he's now setup the ladder on the two chairs and Christian's on top and getting hammered. Edge goes up the top top turnbuckle and he splashes his own brother. Edge's on top of the ladder, but christian takes out a third ladder and rams it into Edge's ribcage and down he goes.

Christian's climbing the ladder, he reaches the very top and EDGE SPEARS HIM! Both men get up slowly, crawling to the ladders and they're climbing the third ladder at the same time and they exchange punches. HOLY CHRIST! They just went way over the top rope and into mats outside the ring.

The lead's been taken by christian's he's climbing the ladder and he's alone. But he's stumbling around a fair bit and now he reaches the top. LOW BLOW WITH A CHAIRSHOT! Edge sets up one chair on the ladder and he takes out a second chair and Christian's on the two ladders. OH DEAR GOD!

CONCHAIRTO ON TOP OF THE LADDERS! Christian falls to the canvas and Edge is the new intercontinental champion.

Spike Dudley's in WWF New York. Looks like he's gottn over Molly, I thought that was the whole point behind the Dudleyz powerbombing him senseless.

WWF TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:

The Dudley Boyz (c) Vs. Big Show and Tajiri

Kane and Big Show really don't care who their tag team partners are. Bubba's taunting Big Show with the belts.

Tajiri's in and kicking away, but not for long and Bubba's got a hard chop, missed clothesline Tajiri kicking and Devon tags in. Double shoulder and there's another strike.

Tag to Big Show and he's got Devon cornered and using his backsid to bring him down. Double teams don't work on Big Show and Tajiri with a dive off the top knocks the Dudleyz down.

Bubba Bomb on Tajiri and Bubba's shouting some more taunts. Devon's unleashing blows in the corner and there's a flapjack. Elbow drops and a double Axe Handle by Bubba.

Snapmare and Devon's going to be wearing Tajiri down. Devon jumps right into a kick to the face, the hot tag are incoming and the ref didn't see the tag thanks to Bubba and this allowed for a diving headbutt.

Bubba bomb countered into a DDT. There's the hot tag to Big Show and he cleans house and the chokeslam is avoided thanks to a chop block. Blind tag by Tajiri, Big Show's pushed off the apron and Tajiri goes for the tarantula.

Double reverse elbow. MIST! IT MISSED! The ref's been hit, BIG SHOW WITH THE CHOKESLAM! Referee's still blinded. RHYNO'S HERE!

GORE X3 the referee's seen nothing and in the meantime Tajiri hits the enziguri, there's a hard kick and there's the count, Devon kicks out! 3D! The Dudleyz retain.

Man do I feel sorry for Booker T these days, he's got a nice entrance but he's been made to look like a royal moron.

Booker T Vs. Undertaker

Booker's not waiting around and he immediately attacks Undertaker, his initiative doesn't last long as the now long haired Undertaker's piling on the pressure and knocking the hell out of Booker T with some hard punches.

Undertaker's hit by a big boot and h gets up quickly enough, missed clothesline but booker t lands a crossbody. Kicks to the gut and some punches have Undertaker sitting on his ass.

He reaches a vertical base and Booker T's ramming him with his shoulder. Irish whip and there's a sidestep by Undertaker. It's all over for booker T as Undertaker is now beating the hell out of him.

Undertaker showing off his strength and now legdroping the arm. Undertaker's working booker's arm over. Whip by Booker T, but he's taken down with ease and there's an armbar. Now undertaker's going or Old School.

Booker T breaks up the count and starts to kick away at Undertaker he's even got the ringbell, Tim White takes it away.

Flurry of punches and over the barricade goes Booker T. Missile Dropkick from Booker T and Undertaker got up from that really fast.

Heel kick by Booker T, series of nearfalls by Booker t, kneedrops now and he's going for the spinaroonie maybe, no he decided against it.

Undertaker kicks him in the face. Both men clash and are downed, Undertaker's cover failed. But he's going to crash into Booker t, hotshot into the turnbuckle.

There's the spinaroonie and the crowd actually enjoyed that. Chokeslam incoming, Booker T with a kick and now shots in the corner.

Booker t poses and gets caught in the last ride! All over folks.

Jericho and The Rock aren't very happy with each other and this leads to a title match.

WCW HEAVYWEIGHT TITL MATCH:

Chris Jericho Vs. The Rock (c)

Crowd firmly behind the WCW champion here. Some early grappling with Rock showing off his amazing headlock.

Jericho knocks him down and Rock turns an armdrag into an armbar. Jericho with a hard chop and another one and another one.

Already we're close to the Walls, Rock avoids them, but not the springboard dropkick. Hard punches by Jericho and Rock starts to lay the smackdown, crossbody halts his momentum.

Rock kicks out but Jericho goes out and starts chopping away. Jericho drops on Rock and goes go for a lax cover, rock counters with a rollup.

kickouts and Jericho's now using forearms. Shoulder block by Rock, Jericho drops him on the top rope and starts to stomp on him.

Bodyslam and Jericho's not going for the lionsault, Rock pulls the rope and Jericho drops on the turnbuckle. Strikes and chops by The rock who's now going for a superplex which connects!

Rock's now tossing Jericho and catches him in a samoan drop. Clothesline by Jericho, kip up and here's the smackdown.

They're now trading shots and Jericho's already down. Suplex by The rock and a kickout by Jericho. Chop by The Rock and Jericho gets sent over the top rope.

Cover and Jericho kicks out of another nearfall. Look at Rock's amazing sideheadlock. It's so intense it looks like he's harming himself. Jericho will not fall asleep to that headlock, but Rock tricked him and here's a catapult.

Down goes the Rock and Jericho hits him with a missile dropkick. Neckbreaker by Jericho and he's getting closer with those pinfall attempts. Wait what, ROCK BOTTOM BY ERICHO AND A LIONSAULT!

HOW DID ROCK KICK OUT OF THAT ONE? Jericho's going to use the people's elbow and he misses! Rock with a single leg takedown and the sharpshooter's been locked in. Jericho's going for the ropes and he reaches them.

Rock going for a Rock Bottom on the spanish announce table and it duly collapses. Jericho's getting beaten up outside of the ring, Charles Robinson still counting, Jericho goes back to the ring.

Jericho's being stalked by the Rock and there's a rock Bottom attempt, Jericho elbows himself out of the way. SPINEBUSTER! PEOPLE'S ELBOW COUNTERED INTO THE WALLS OF JERICHO!

Rock can't get to the ropes and Jericho's dragging him back and Stephanie brings a chair to the ring and well that kind of ruins the match. Rock with a DDT, Stephanie's brought into the ring and she gets a Rock Bottom.

Ref is distracted and Rock's head is driven into the steel chair and Chris Jericho's the new WCW champion. Rock's got a chair and he's right behind a celebrating Jericho. Chair in Rock's hand and he gives the chair to Jericho and then walks away.

MAIN EVENT:

WWF WORLD TITLE MATCH:

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH:

Kurt Angle Vs. Rob Van Dam Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin (c)

Angle starts things off with a lot of suplexes, all kinds of suplexes. RVD and Austin double stomp Kurt Angle. Now Austin and RVD are at a standoff and they knock down Angle off the apron.

Austin flips RVD who does his pose. Angle from behind and now Austin's just stomping all over everyone. More stomping, Angle tries to hit back, thumb to the eye. Angle with an ankle lock, RVD slides into Angle.

Van Dam with a heel kick to Austin and a springboard kick. Angle runs in from behind Suplex, RVD lands on his feet and kicks Angle, there's the rolling thunder. Austin and RVD trad blows.

The crowd's really hot behind RVD. Austin drops the knee. Austin going for a half boston crab, Angle runs in from behind and now stomps on Austin.

He's thrown out of the ring and now Austin's using the STF on RVD and there's a slingshot on Angle. All the offense right now's coming from Austin. Chops by Angle and we might be looking at some crowd surfing here.

Van Dam with a flip of the top turnbuckle lands on both guys. RVD tosses Angle into the ring, kick to Austin and a legdrop on him. RVD gets caught while kicking and Angle suplexes him and moonsault from Angle.

Austin runs in for a cover on RVD, Angle saves the match. Sleeper hold by Angle, RVD knocked down and Angle wanted a stunner, doesn't succeed and here's a double clothesline.

Five star frog splash misses both guys, German by Angle, Stunner on Angle and RVD's going for the split legged moonsault and Angle breaks the pin.

Angle Slam, Austin breaks the pin and Angle's kicked out of the ring. Austin's chopping away and ramming Angle's head into the announce table. Backdrop and the table doesn't break but Austin's down. RVD comes flying out of nowhere and now everyone's down.

Oh there's Vince McMahon coming out because we need more McMahons in our title matches. Angle's down and RVD wanted a splash, Angle explodes and there's the superplex. Ref is counting and Austin's crawling to the ring in desperation and he stunners Angle and Angle falls out of the ring.

He turns his head and sees RVD, he's gone mad and McMahon attacks Austin from behind with a chair and RVD HITS THE FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Austin's busted open, one two, Germans by Angle, two of them already and there's a third and a fourth. Angle Slam on top and Shane O'Mac runs in and starts beating Angle and now Vince jumps Shane.

Austin picks up RVD to give him a stunner and he retains.

Angle defeated Rhyno to win the United States Championship and bring it over to the WWF, but then he would turn on Vince and join the Alliance!

Tajiri defeated Kidman to win the Cruiserweight Championship and bring it over to the WWF.

The Dudley Boyz would lose the WWF Tag Titles to the odd couple team of Jericho and Rock, who would then lose them to the team of T&T, Booker T and Test. But fear not, the Dudleyz would rebound by defeating the Hardy Boyz for the WCW Tag Team Titles, becoming the only team to have held WWF, WCW, and ECW Tag Team Championships.

The European Title was won by Bradshaw, who defeated The Hurricane. Bradshaw would then lose the title to Christian.

WWF Champion: Steve Austin (Alliance)
Tag Team: Booker T/Test (Alliance)
Intercontinental: Edge
European: Christian (Alliance)
Hardcore: Rob Van Dam (Alliance)

WCW Champion: Chris Jericho (WWF)
Tag Team: The Dudley Boyz
United States: Kurt Angle
Cruiserweight: Tajiri (WWF)

The Alliance holds most of the gold!

One of the original plans was for X-Pac and Tajiri to meet @ Survivor Series in a title unification match, between the LHW and CW belts. But then X-Pac got injured, and no one cared.

Or was it the other way around? Regardless, as explained earlier, LHW belt was quietly retired, despite X-Pac defending it at indy events for awhile.

After watching it live, here were my thoughts on the show itself (no spoilers)

Biggest Pops
1) The Rock
2) The Hardyz
3) Undertaker
4) Triple H (every time they played "My Sacrifice" on the titantron during commercials, the crowd cheered for Trips everytime he was shown being helped out after tearing his quad)
5) Edge

Biggest Heat
1) Austin
2) Shane McMahon
3) Kurt Angle
4) Test
5) Regal

Best picture I took that night: Easily Kane's pyro in the ring.

There was even some resentment towards X-Pac, as a fan a few rows behind me held a sign that read "I Hope X-Pac is Dead!" We all got a laugh and roughly 20 of us before the show began did an "X-Pac Sucks!" chant for a minute.

Invasion

We get a Roosevelt speech mixed in with Stephanie McMahon yapping away. All the other feds hate the WWF- oh, I mean, the McMahons are feuding with each other.

Lance Storm & Mike Awesome vs. Edge & Christian

I have no idea who is who. Oh, Awesome is the guy who, uh, and Storm is the younger looking guy.

Christian springboards off Edge to the outside of the ring, he kind of slips and almost faceplants.

Storm tosses Christian into the post, he slides hard. Christian's in for a long time before Edge finally gets a hot tag. Not incredibly boring, but super formulaic tag format.

Small package from Lance Storm, ref is distracted, Edge reverses and a kickout. Spear on Awesome! Storm superkicks Edge. Now Awesome picks up Edge and gets speared by Christian. The refs gives this ridiculous "uhhh hm, okay. yeah." shrug and then counts the pin.

Oh, the "old" Stone Cold is here tonight.

Oh god no, feuding referees up next? These guys are both over 40. Guess Foley's reffing this one.

Earl Hebner vs. Nick Patrick

Hebner sells a slap so hard and he's kicking away. Hebner climbs the corner for ten punches, this is the most exciting moment in his career.

Oh, now the WWF and WCW refs at ringside are trying to get involved. Foley kicks them all out. Hebner tries a spear or a crossbody, it was halfway between both, he gets a pin. WWF is 2-0!

Nick Patrick argues with Foley so he gets Mr. Socko.

DDP kidnapped Debra. This guy is after all the wives uglier than his own.

Sara refers to Undertaker as "Mark". Was his name ever given prior to this?

APA wants the WWF mid-carders and tag teams to stand up against Palumbo and O'Haire.

Hmm, are any belts even gonna be on the line tonight?

APA vs. Chuck Palumbo & Sean O'Haire

O'Haire gives Bradshaw a clothesline to rival his own. Already a few no-sells in this, probably from these guys not having worked together before.

Crowd's pretty out of it right now. Bradshaw caught in a big slam but kicks out. Faarooq gets double teamed to the outside. And now a whip into the stairs.

Faarooq counters a knee with a big spinebuster. Bradshaw and Palumbo in, big boot, power slam, crowddbody caught. O'Haire with a big kick and a dropkick, everyone's in. Faarooq eats a superkick, but clothesline from hell puts out Palumbo. WWF is 3-0.

Jericho is telling Vince about WCW and ECW. WCW has no leader, but Heyman runs the ECW and he's ugly. Vince steals Jericho's catchphrase. And here's Stephanie to make ugly faces.

Oh my god if there was ever a time for a WWF loss this is it.

X-Pac vs. Billy Kidman

"X-PAC SUCKS" chants going already. Kidman uses one of X-Pac's moves back, he gets mixed cheers and boos. He can hurricanrana and enzuigiri.

X-Pac with a springboard crossbody and he's taunting the fans. Is Kidman's back cut from that? Oh, looks like he just fell on something red. Sleeper hold is followed with booing. More booing for a counter sleeper.

They've stopped using the hard cam for some reason in this match. Kidman counters a powerbomb with an X factor of his own. X-Pac hits an X factor and Kidman kicks out. Bronco buster is caught with a low blow. Kidman with a shooting star press and WCW gets their first win, 3-1 WWF.

Who are these two ladies? Stacy Keibler pronounces "especially" as "expecially". Torrie is the other girl.

Raven vs. William Regal

Raven legsweeps Regal into the barricades, that's a nice move. Regal's tossed into the corner and Raven hits the ropes to do something, but Regal doesn't pop out of the corner. Whoops.

Both guys trade some covers and they're not the smoothest together. Fans are getting restless and finding this boring.

Tazz runs in to suplex Regal when the ref is distracted, Raven with a DDT and he wins. WWF is only up 3-2 now.

Big Show and Billy Gunn have formed a tag team? Eh. And Albert's stuck with X-Pac's music, ouch.

Wait this is Mr. Perfect's music, is this- wait who are these guys.

Big Show, Billy Gunn & Albert vs. Shawn Stasiak, Chris Kanyon & Hugh Morrus

The three WWF guys can all press slam. Billy bridges a cover now, better do it before he's winded. Kanyon hits a leg sweep and combos into a facebuster.

Albert's tagged in and the ring fills already. Albert with a boot and power bomb, he's out of moves. Billy comes in for a fameasser. Stasiak hits a DDT and gets Morrus to cover Billy. Oh, that's it. Big Show runs in to chokeslam everyone as he hardly even wrestled. It's tied at 3.

Booker T has two belts and SUCKAS ARE GOING DOWN

Oh I finally get to see Tajiri in action. Tazz is still getting lots of cheers for his awesome music.

Tazz vs. Tajiri

Tajiri can hit a standing moonsault. Tazz with some strong suplexes and clotheslines. He's trying for a tazzmission, can't get it on.

A botched irish whip luckily turns into the intended springboard flip. Tajiri to the corner now, he puts on the tarantula hold over the ropes! Tazz stands up to a couple fierce kicks.

Green mist from Tajiri and Tazz is blinded and covered! So Tajiri's one of those wrestlers. WWF is up 4-3. Or it's tied at 4 if you count the Heat match like Shane says.

Hardcore match: Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy

RVD does the splits under a kick and is rolling out of Jeff's quick moves. Loud "RVD" chants from the crowd.

RVD doing all kinds of crazy stuff. He hits a standing moonsault. Double underhook facebuster followed by a somersault senton. He tries a leap from the top but is tossed outside.

Jeff wants to run the barricade but RVD hits him along the way. Into the crowd and RVD hits a moonsault in the crowd, he scares the hell out of a 6 year old kid.

Now Jeff is draped across the barricade, RVD climbs the apron and a spinning heel kick! The apron is all messed up and RVD is caught in it, Jeff still hits a sunset flip to the outside. Ladder is out!

Up to the top of a ladder, RVD tips it over, and that was a 12 foot ladder. RVD brings over a chair, Jeff steals it for a shot. He's half-selling and half-not an ankle injury. RVD with a leaping kick! Van Damminator! Jeff flies off the the stage area! There's no safety mat there.

Back to the ring they go, RVD dropkicks a chair into Jeff. Moonsault, but Jeff gets the knees up. Jeff with a DDT. Swanton and RVD rolls away! Hardcore belt places on Jeff, RVD leaps to the top corner in one jump, frog splash! RVD wins! I think it's tied at 4 now.

oh no everyone wants Lita's man or something so girls have to strip to their underwear. Whatever, the storyline doesn't matter here.

Mick Foley's music again? Guess he's reffing this one too. He's got on a Universal Studios Islands of Adventure shirt on. What a professional.

Bra & Panties match: Torrie Wilson & Stacy Keibler vs. Trish Stratus & Lita

It's a slapping match and Trish actually suplexes Torrie. Nobody wants to fight Lita. Michael Cole: "Why the hell am I calling wrestling moves"

Torrie steps on Trish's hair to hold her down and everyone's lost one item. Lita with a moonsault and the WCW girls lose the match. Lita almost falls off the ramp celebrating her win.

WWF is up 5-4. Or I guess tied if we're counting that Heat match. And seeing as the main event is next, yeah, it's tied I guess.

WCW/ECW team is cutting a promo. Heyman: "What do you want to be in your life-" Booker T: "A GOD!" Heyman: "a failure or a god?"

Stone Cold won't go back to his old beer drinking ways, he's too busy drinking beer in a bar. Oh wait here's the old Stone Cold, a game of billiards made him snap.

Shane and Stephanie and Heyman come out, and Vince too. Oh goody, do they all get to be at ringside for this? Oh, and for some reason the teams come out separately.

Look at Booker T with his two belts, what a badass. Not like that Undertaker.

Dudley Boyz, Rhyno, Booker T & DDP vs. Kane, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle & Steve Austin

Everyone's brawling before Stone Cold can even come out. lol DDP is down with one punch. Austin and Rhyno starting things off, Austin does a superplex.

JR's calling the loyal WCW guys sellouts, how is being loyal to your company selling out.

Jericho's ducking Booker T kicks and hitting his kicks. Now Booker T hits his spin kick on Angle. Kane's trying to pin D-Von, Bubba stops a chokeslam. 3D on Kane, or at least as best as they can do.

Bubba ran into a big boot hard. Kane hits a flying clothesline and brings in Taker. He walks the rope to Bubba, and Rhyno's back in. No Taker/DDP rematch yet.

Oh wait here's DDP. DDP selling Taker's rapid punches is comical. And now Austin's in to beat up Booker T. Whoops real botched whip there (as featured on Botchamania 15, which I had just watched earlier today).

Jericho gets in some chops. WOOOOO. He's trying to get the walls of Jericho on everyone, misses a lionsault. Angle belly to belly suplexes both Dudleys. The crowd is chanting "Paulie sucks".

WCW is getting constant tags in. Booker T with a scissor kick and the spinaroonie! The crowd boos, have they no taste?

Dudleys hit the wassup when the ref is looking away. Ref missing face tags and Taker just runs in, now the whole ring is filled. Rhyno with a GORE! But... he gored Booker T? Thigns clear, Booker T is chokeslammed.

A WCW ref is here, Taker gives him the last ride. Austin's down with an EMT, some people disappeared into the crowd or something. Dudleys get a table, Kane chokeslams D-Von through the announce table. And now Rhyno and Bubba suplex Kane through the other table!

And here's Jericho, he puts Rhyno through the third table! Jericho's holding his head and I think he bumped it hard. I guess Taker and DDP both fought into the crowd and left, lol

Angle's taking on two guys at once. Olympic slam! Ankle lock! Ref bump! Shane levels Vince with a belt, Angle beats up Shane, Olympic slam to Booker T and an ankle lock. He's tapping, no ref, Austin's back up.

Austin jumps in, stunners Angle?! He throws Booker T on Angle and Booker T gets the win without knowing it. Stone Cold double crossed the crowd again!

I expected a screwy finish to this one, but that was not what I was expecting.

Star of the PPV: Rob Van Dam

Botch of the PPV: Regal forgetting to bounce out of the corner and Raven is left to dry on his move.

I wondered about how on earth this was rated so high, so I'm watching this now. 7 minutes into the match, there's been about 30 to 40 tags. Everyone just comes in and does spots with quick speed, no rest holds of any kind yet. If the whole match is like this, then it can be rated high just on the constant flow of action.

Ok, watched the whole thing, there's some unpredictable stuff in there, Paul Roma actually hits a good spot, and the action is pretty constant throughout. It is the 1980's style WWF wrestling, and not 5 star quality, but with how solid it is I can understand 4 stars.
