Sabu is on Summerslam!

...2006.

Such a blah ppv. They should have just named it Sabuslam and have Sabu perform every match. Think about it; you'd still have Big Show vs. Sabu, but also...

Rey vs. Chavo vs. Sabu (hey this would work!)
Foley vs. Flair vs. Sabu (considering the original stipulation, this would work too!)
DX vs. McMahons vs. Sabu (LOL)
Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton vs. Sabu (since Sabu endures everything and Hogan no-sells everything, they'd spend the whole evening arguing over who pins Orton!)
Batista vs. King Booker vs. Sabu
Edge vs. Cena vs. Sabu

Same here; Sabu's basically a one-trick pony for extreme matches, but somehow adding him makes a match watchable, if only to determine what makes the next Botchamania.

I also added Sabu in every match for Vengeance 2006, Judgment Day 2006, and December to Dismember 2006.

In short, nothing's saving that December ppv.

Bump, and while I'm at it, a few other changes were made to the Alliance, besides the addition of Kurt Angle...

As a result of losing the United States Championship, Rhyno was suspended indefinitely by Shane McMahon (in reality, Rhyno needed cervical fusion surgery that would keep him out until early 2003. I don't think they ever explained why the WWF picked him up. He was even interviewed on a New Year's Eve special in December 2001!

And also for their failed performances, Chavo Guerrero and Hugh Morrus were fired from the Alliance. Chuck Palumbo also bailed on the Alliance inbetween No Mercy and Survivor Series to head to the WWF.

Summerslam 2001

We get LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR for our song.

If I can be serious for a minute...

Lance Storm vs. Edge

Edge is hitting all the offense in the first couple minutes and this is still all apparently about WWF vs. Alliance.

Lance with a shot and he's talking trash and slapping away. All these heel taunting moves from Storm. Edge tries a small cradle, doesn't work.

God damn a big "look here" sign popped up in the crowd and I looked.

A nice series of arm drag counters, Edge with the catch and powerslam knocks them both down. Edge tries a reverse neckbreaker into a cover, Storm with a nice kickout. Rollup into half boston crab! Edge reverses it! Ref bump.

Christian's here! He misses Storm, spears Edge, ref is back and Edge kicks out. Superkick is caught and DDT puts away Storm.

They keep teasing this Christian/Edge tension but then they're best friends.

Nice jeans Michael Cole. Test turned on the WWF and he sucks at interviews.

Jericho says you always remember your first time and really destroys Stephanie, oh god and a breast implant joke.

Spike & APA vs. Test & Dudley Boyz

Bradshaw nailed D-Von with a forearm, that was super loud, he's so stiff. And Spike gets tossed in a crazy hangman, the top two ropes were both pushed down under his weight, which isn't much.

Dudleys pulling out a table already, it's set up at ringside. Bradshaw hot tagged in with some clotheslines and a big boot. Test misses his boot and gets powerslammed. Spike thrown through a table! Clothesline on Test and the ref isn't looking, Shane runs in with a chair! Test gets a pin and wins.

Edge got the IC belt, Christian wants the European title.

Stasiak doesn't know why his trunks say Mecca. Neither do I.

Winner of the next match gets both titles. Oh god nooo please lose X-Pac.

Tajiri vs. X-Pac

Tajiri with a series of nicely executed moves, hurricanrana, baseball slide, springboard moonsault. Crowd's chanting E-C-DUB. X-Pac puts on a surfboard and he can't stop from rolling over.

No bronco buster here, X-Pac is hung upside down and slide kick to his face. Flip into elbow and a tarantula!

X Factor and Tajiri's no-selling it. Out comes Albert to watch. Mist is spit in Albert's face, but X-Pac hits a low blow and an X factor and X-Pac has two belts. Augh augh augh.

Perry Saturn is in New York. He's in love with a mop instead of Terri now. Oh wow he is getting buried with this angle.

Jericho is tearing into Stephanie and her recent enhancements. Rhyno likes to gore.

Rhyno vs. Chris Jericho

Jericho with a bunch of chops early. WOOOO WOOOO WOOOO. Stephanie's trying to interfere with Jericho on the ropes, and he falls into a gore from Rhyno outside the ring.

Rhyno going with all these rest holds. More chops from both guys, surprise lionsault. Stephanie's distracting the ref and Jericho plants a smooch on her.

Another lionsault and Rhyno kicks out. Rhyno gets on the walls of Jericho. Gore misses, Jericho puts on his finisher now. Rhyno taps out.

Rock and Regal cutting a promo. Stasiak runs full force into a wall in one of the best comedy spots of the year.

Hardcore ladder match: Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy

RVD hip tossed out of the ring after a series of exchanges, Jeff hits a springboard corkscrew moonsault and kind of hits a table as well.

Jeff runs the barricade and takes out RVD. Ladder's already in the ring now. RVD leaps into the ladder and hits Jeff. And Jeff hops over the rope to hit the same move.

RVD does a flip for no reason amidst a series of charges. The crowd is chanting "RVD! RVD!" Jeff's put on the ladder, somersault and a senton splash. Now he hits a superkick and a leg drop. And now the ladder's on Jeff, moonsault onto the ladder!

Missed swanton from Jeff, and now RVD misses a 5 star frog splash. Both guys up the ladder, suplex from the top! Back up they both go, sunset flip from the top.

Jeff goes up, RVD moves the ladder and Jeff's hanging. I'm not sure what they're trying here. RVD tries leaping with an elbow and misses, Jeff misses his fall. Whoops?

Ladder gets pushed over on Jeff and he falls awkwardly. RVD goes up and he grabs the hardcore belt.

Shane made Booker T some bookends. Booker T is getting choked up.

Whyyy is this stalker storyline still a thing that exists.

Oh good we get another champ vs. champ match. 5 belts in all in this match.

Steel cage match: Kanyon & DDP vs. Kane & Undertaker

DDP and Kanyon both try climbing out immediately, smart guys. And now I'm about a minute in and this pace is already plodding. Big boots everywhere and not much else.

Kane gives Kanyon the first chokeslam of the match, then just wanders in a circle for thirty seconds. Taker hits DDP a few times to get the crowd going because they were dead.

Kanyon's stuck on top and Taker wants Kanyon to go. Kanyon's out, and Undertaker finds a chain, leaving DDP caught in a handicap situation. It's squash match time. Kane is literally sitting in the corner while Taker and DDP fight for a while.

"Get your ass out of here and I'll let you live. You ever look at her again and you die. Go." Taker lets DDP escape. Oh, he grabs him to do the last ride. Taker pins and the brothers win both tag belts. Who was this match supposed to be entertaining for?

Rock's consulting a doctor. Stasiak runs into a table.

Long recap of how Austin and Angle are feuding. Locker rooms are full of people watching.

Kurt Angle vs. Steve Austin

The battle starts outside of the ring, then goes in with lots of traded punches. "USA" chants from the crowd.

Austin is going after Angle's ankle that was injured by a chair sometime recently. Now he hits some suplexes, and Angle comes back with his own. 7 German suplexes. Austin hits a superplex from the top.

Stunner, and Kurt Angle kicks out. And another stunner, but they head out now. Angle goes into the ringpost a couple times and his face is busted open. Austin wants to throw Angle on the table, but they end up in the crowd and Angle gets suplexed out there. And Angle gets the ankle lock on outside the ring!

Geez how many times did Angle blade his face, it's a pool now. Oh, and another ankle lock in the middle of the ring, but Austin gets the ropes.

Ha, Hebner's hand is covered in blood from breaking the guys apart. Angle climbs to the top rope. JR: "Kurt's going for the ankle lock!" What. He does a moonsault.

Austin puts on the cobra clutch, haven't seen that in forever. Angle tries rolling it into a cover. And here's another stunner. Another kickout from Angle!

Here comes another stunner, but Angle hits the olympic slam instead. Austin kicks out. And now he just punches Hebner out for some reason. Out runs a new ref. Low blow and Chioda's just gonna let that go. So he gets a stunner.

Out runs Tim White, he's too overweight to run fast. He's knocked out with the belt. Olympic slam now, but no ref to count the pin. Here comes Nick Patrick, he rules Austin DQed instead of counting Angle's cover.

Poor Angle kicked out of every stunner only to not get the belt.

Finally, the Rock has come back to WWF. "WHO IN THE BLUE HELL ARE YOU" "TELL ME YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT"

I've only seen Booker T wrestle about 4 times in my life and I'm already marking out for him every time.

CAN YOU DIG IT, SUCKA

The Rock's theme sounds kind of different now.

Booker T vs. The Rock

Rock tries chasing Shane around the ring and destroys a cameraman in the process. Booker T hits some chops yet nobody goes WOOOO. What.

Outside by the tables, Rock hits an obvious low blow. JR: "I couldn't see that, was that a low blow?" Ha.

Into the crowd, Rock gets clotheslined onto concrete. Shane removes a turnbuckle cover while everyone's still outside.

Booker T hitting some slow standing kicks and Rock's hitting some smackdown slaps. Rock counters a stretch, he's got the sharpshooter on! A Shane distraction breaks it up.

Rock with a catapult, Booker hits the exposed turnbuckle. Shane tosses a chair in the corner now, too much interference. The refs goes to pull the chair away and Shane hits Rock with the belt.

Out runs APA and Bradshaw clotheslines Shane! That's the guy you don't want doing that.

Booker T with a bookend! By the time the ref's back, Rock kicks out. Rock gets in some hits, a flying forearm, a two count. Spinebuster, here comes the elbow, the crowd pops. And Shane breaks the ref's count.

Out of the ring goes Rock, rock bottom to Shane. Booker T hits a spinebuster in the middle. Scissorkick and spinaroonie! Oh god he's caught showboating with a rock bottom and Rock gets the pin! Rock's the WCW champ!

Star of the PPV: Kurt Angle

Rebellion 2001

Rock and Austin will be going at it again, they totally ripped the PPV Logo off Robot Wars.

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH:

STEEL CAGE MATCH:

Christian Vs. Edge (c)

Lots of irish whips early on, Edge drops the coat and stats choking Christian with it. I've never liked escaping the cage via the door which the refs just open.

Single leg takedown by Edge and Christian blocks a ram to the fence. Edge knocked down and Christian's climbing until Edge pulls him back down. Kick to the face and Christian sidesteps Edge.

Christian's using a very opportunistic style here and yeah this PPV screams Robot Wars, I think in 2002 it was Chaos 2 who won the title, unless it was that one Razer year.

Backbreaker by Edge, but its Christian who's going for the escape and he's stomping on Edge's face right now. Christian is being called an Egomaniac. Christian making a run at the door and Edge drags him back.

Christian places Edge on top of the turnbuckle and he punches away, Edge shoves him off, CROSSBODY! kickout! Edge catapulted into the steel cage. Christian going for the wear down movs and that's a nice headlock.

Suplex from Christian and another pinning attempt which is unsuccessful. Chop by christian and again Edge pushes him away. SPEAR! OUT OF NOWHERE! NEarfall!

Christian getting kneed in the face, unprettier countered, nearfall again! Hotshot to the cage and now Edge is moving climbing the cage, Christian's in hot pursuit and Edge falls rope in between the legs and Christian's on the other side and Edge is tying christian through the cage.

Edge climbs and pulls off the win, but man that theme song is bad.

Shane and Vince argue, Angle turned and now I'm asking why?

Scotty 2 Hotty Vs. The Hurricane

Scotty's dancing around with all the offense and now Hurricane lands a clothesline. Hurricane stomping away and Scotty hammering away.

Skinning the cat by Scotty and now Hurrricane takes a few more hits. Cover by Scotty and a kickout.

Neckbreaker by Hurricane, there's some more punching by Scotty and Hurricane with a snapmare takedown and a rollup pin. Hurricane's getting to work on the arm of Scotty.

Hurricane now punching away and kneeing the back, the camel clutch from Hurricane and Scotty escapes the hold. Hurricane's got the cape. Scotty gets up in time and catches Hurricane and he gets shoved back down.

Hurricane flying and gets caught by Scotty and the DDT knocks him down. Superkick by Scotty and a frontfacelock, blocked by Hurricane.

The worm! Hurricane going for the worm, Scotty tries to counter, chokeslam attempt elbowed out, suprkick by Hurricane!

Rollup and Hurricane has the feet on the ropes. Now Scotty's going for the Worm!

Hey look its DDP! Undertaker must have broken him because all he can do is smile.

Diamond Dallas Page Vs. Big Show

Show's just stomping all over The Big Show. DDP lands some right hands, no effect and what's he trying now?

Big show's just manhandling Page and there's a military press to send DDP back into the ring.

Page attempted an indian deathlock, nothing's going his way and DDP gets hung on the ropes. DIAMOND CUTTER!

OUT OF NOWHERE! Show kicks out. Chokeslam and this one's over.

Shane, Kurt, Debra and Austin are having a council of doom. Kurt Angle turned into a super goofy guy again.

Promo about how this table was round and Shane's Merlin and Austin's King Arthur.

WCW TAG TAM TITLE MATCH:

The Dudley Boyz (c) Vs. A.P.A Vs. The Hardy Boyz

Bubba Ray against Matt Hardy to start things off. The Dudleyz are losing out to the Hardyz' speed.

APA and the Hardyz are on the same page for now. DDT by Matt and now Bradshaw's attacking him, big boot! Matt's on the top turnbuckle and there's a tornado DDT on Bradshaw, tag to Jeff.

Double suplex and a cover, but Bradshaw powers out and here's a whip, Bradshaw hits Jeff in the back. In comes Faarooq and Jeff is getting beaten up.

Powerslam and there's a cover, he was thinking slam, Jeff tried and backslide and failed. Blind tag by Devon and Faarooq's in trouble. Devon gets hit by the spinebuster, Bubba walks in for the save.

These two teams are just brawling, Fallaway slam off the top, hot damn Bradshaw's wrecking face. TWIST OF FATE! The APA has been eliminated first and now we've got a duel between two teams who know each other really well.

Devon holds Jeff's leg and Jeff gets hit. Here comes the table. Bubba bomb on Jeff, Matt's out of commission and Bubba's still hitting Jeff and now Devon's stomping on him. Jeff's eyes are going all white as Devon's giving him a headlock.

Beautiful powerslam and Bubba's dropping elbows now. Matt distracts Bubba and Jeff gets the hurricanrana off and Jeff's in danger. Matt with the tag in and h's cleaning house, neckbreakers all over and there's the legdrop from the top.

SWANTON by Jeff and Bubba just chucks him out of the ring, Devon goes for the pin and they have retained the belts.

Clips of Jericho and Rock not being on the same page. It involved a Rock Bottom. Jericho's with Vince and Rock and that big gold belt does look pretty good on Jericho's shoulder. Must be the blonde hair.

Alliance commish Regal's out to do some of the usual heel promoing.

William Regal Vs. Tajiri

A little stand off early on and Tajiri strikes the face and Regal showing some agility here. Kicks by Tajiri and they're going to the outside.

Backdrop by Tajiri and a standing moonsault and Regal knocks him down. Big knee by Regal and he's stretching Tajiri out.

Stomps by Regal and he's in control of the match so far, couple of elbows and Tajiri's dropkicking him and gaining momentum.

Missile dropkick and a cover, Regal kicks out and there's the reverse elbow. Tarantula! Top turnbuckle moonsault misses and there's the Regal Stretch!

It's over! Gosh Regal's chest is looking so beaten up. GREEN MIST! Tajiri gets the last laugh in this one.

Kurt's chatting with Michael Cole backstage.

WCW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:

Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Jericho (c)

Kurt's taunting Jericho a little ahead of the match and Jericho's really quick here, he gets the first suplex in and Angle wants to use strikes but Jericho beats him to the punch with chops.

Big elbow knocks Angle down, fireman's carry and Jericho uses a spinning heel kick. Suplex by Jericho's he's been really aggressive here tonight. Covr and a kickout by Angle.

There's the suplex by Angle but his next one's block and the Walls are incoming, but Angle reaches the ropes. Jericho with an elbow and a chop on the outside. Now Angle's the one chopping away.

Jericho's crashing Angle into the steps and there's a flying crossbody by Jericho off the top. Ankle Lock by Angle and Jericho escapes. Angle's sent into the post and there's the shoulder breaker.

Angle's reeling right now and Jericho's going for the armbar. Jericho's getting caught in Ange's suplex mania. Stomps by Angle and there's Jericho's head crashing into the turnbuckle. Angle stomps on Jericho and there's the whip.

Oh my Angle's using the Walls, but Jericho's leg strength saves him. Elbow by Jericho and he jumps right into another suplex. Cover, but Jericho's leg was under the rope, can you believe that? Nick Patrick being fair.

Suplex again by Angle and Jericho kicks out of this one with ease. Jericho's getting his mojo back and Angle's got the ankle and he's still stomping.

Fierce clothesline from Angle and he's mounting Jericho for even more strikes. Chinlock and Jericho's on his ass fading away. Enziguri by Jericho and both guys are down! Chops from Jericho and he knocks down Angle a couple of times, swinging neckbreaker.

Rana and a pin, but Angle kicks out. Suplex attempt reversed and ANKLE LOCK BY JERICHO! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! But Angle was able to scrape through to the ropes. The nearfalls are getting closer and closer to being a pin.

WALLS OF JERICHO! Angle got to the ropes and Jericho's getting frustrated. There's the bulldog and LIONSAULT INTO THE KNEES! Angle slam attempt countered into a rollup and JERICHO WINS! Jericho retains!

Doesn't matter because Angle's the one who walks away standing tall.

It's the Rock catchphrase power hour with Michael Cole backing away.

SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE: Trish Stratus

Mighty Molly and Stacy Keibler Vs. Torrie Wilson, Lita

Torrie can use a cartwheel and so can Stacy, but hey look Torrie can use a dropkick. Lita's scaring the hell out of Stacey. I wonder if Stacy can outwrestle George Clooney.

Lita with a suplex and she tags in Torrie. Molly with a cheap shot on Torrie and there's some more stomping. Molly's in the ring and there's a nice suplex camel clutch and boston crab on torrie.

Trish is a bad referee, so she could totally be an everyday referee. Molly is missing everything and Lita gets the rana and Stacy's been whippd into the corner and Molly join her. Torries sets Lita up for a double team but Molly runs in for a counter.

Twist of Fate! Lita picks up the win for her team and Stacy and Trish are getting into an argument which leads to a bulldog.

There's your Stone Cold against The Rock video package.

MAIN EVENT:

WWF WORLD TITLE MATCH:

Stone Cold Steve Austin (c) Vs. The Rock

Austin's beating up Rock, not for long and there's the smackdown.

Plenty of high energy moves and Rock used a spinebuster, he tried going for a Rock Bottom and Stone Cold's being beaten.

Rock spits water all over and now Austin's chopping away. The brawl continues on the outside and Paul Heyman's on the floor.

Austin going for the suplex on the outside. Backdrop by The Rock though. Catapult into the post by Austin and he breaks the count.

Elbows on the apron and another elbow to the back of the head. Austin's all over Rock on the middle rope. Hebner's struggling to get him off.

Rock misses a clothesline and takes another, Austin's giving everyone the finger. Big clothesline by Austin and he's got that demented look going.

Austin's on top off Rock and he gets dumped out of the ring. Low blow by Rock and they're still fighting on the announce table and JR and Heyman are getting out of the way again.

Rock's getting choked by the cords. They're getting into a chopping battle and Rock gets dropped on the table. Rock's selling the knee.

The kneebrace is getting driven into Rock here and now there's shoving match between Hebner and Austin, they flip each other off.

Thesz press by Austin and he flips the crowd off and he's giving us even more fingers before elbowing Rock. Heyman liked it more than the Peoples elbow.

More elbows and Austin's not going for the finish. Rock fighting back and using the thesz press and Rock's using a triple flip off before going for the elbow.

Austin's already kicking out and there's the sleeper hold! Rock down to his knees. Remember, we are live in manchester.

Crowd' firmly behind Rocky. Strikes all over and Rock using Austin's moves again, jawbreaker! Spinebuster! Boston Crab by Stone Cold. Rock reachd the ropes and Austin stomps on him some more.

He's mad with Hebner and Rock's giving more strikes and they double clothesline each other. Rock exploding, Austin dazed and we're getting plenty of kickouts. REF BUMP!

Spinebuster and Rock goes for the terrible Sharpshooter, he looks in more pain than Austin! He gets up to wak up Hebner but Austin delivers a real Sharpshooter! Rock reverses into a Sharpshooter of his own.

Here's Angle with a steel chairshot. Jericho runs in from behind and he slams Angle around. Rock believes Jericho's the one who used the chairshot on Rock and Stone Cold don't care, neither does Rock who delivers The Rock Bottom!

Angle comes in to save austin and we got the smackdown and a reverse smackdown and everyone's smacking each other down. People's elbow incoming! Angle pulls on the leg and Rock runs into a STUNNER!

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN HAS RETAINED THE TITLE! I think Austin's groping Angle and I really can't comment on this theme.

Unforgiven 2001

This immediately kicks off with America the Beautiful. This isn't wrestling, time to skip ahead.

Well that was 4+ minutes of filler. Gotta get that crowd pro-Angle or something. Oh god these main events are all rematches.

Why is the logo a giant CG Austin head

Big Show is the only one who finds odder tag team partners than Kane.

Hardy Boyz vs. The Hurricane & Lance Storm vs. Big Show & Spike Dudley vs. Dudley Boyz

Dudleys get jumped by the WWF guys. Hurricane poses after every move, what a gimmick. Jeff's wearing a hat, Bubba pulls it off.

Spike wants to fight Hurricane for some reason, instead he's getting squashed by all the Alliance guys. Hurricane has a cape! He's getting more cheers than most Alliance guys.

Big Show gets hot tagged in, this match being unofficially four on four is so obvious. Hardys and Spike splash all the heels. Fans want Big Show to leap out of the ring too, not gonna happen. Hurricane wants to chokeslam him! But Storm is chokeslammed, he's pinned.

Matt gets in and twists of fate Spike, he and Big Show are gone.

Fans are chanting they want tables. Jeff is stuck in the ring for days. Hot tag to Matt, he moonsaults to outside the ring. Twist of fate is stopped with a 3D. Swanton breaks the count. Bubba gets his team the win.

Stephanie wants to wish RVD luck. Her arms got huge, in addition to other body parts. The hell was the point of this segment.

Kurt Angle's family is here, they aren't good at interviews.

Oh no Moppy went through a woodchipper.

Raven vs. Perry Saturn

Saturn hits a springboard dropkick and they head outside. Terri distracts so Raven can drop toe hold Saturn into the stairs. There's an "I miss Droz" sign in the crowd.

Raven telegraphs the hell out of a sunset flip. Now Saturn hits another springboard move. Is Saturn bleeding near his eye?

Saturn reverses a cover into... something. Ref forgets to count a cover too. He decides to do a catapult I guess, and then he does the moss covered three handled family credunza to win.

Christian wants the intercontinental title from his brother. Man what is this theme song he has. Oh no, Edge has a new theme song too and it's not as good.

Christian vs. Edge

They brawl out to the entrance and Christian get slingshot into the entryway. Christian uses some heel trickery to turn things in his advantage. Lots of hair pulling, now lots of chops. WOOOOO.

Edge has a cut under his eye, wonder how he got that one. Double flying crossbodies leave them both down.

Over the top rope goes Edge, he goes under the ring for some reason. He comes out the other side to surprise Christian but only does a crossbody. Christian hits a spear, two count though. Christian grabs some chairs but gets tripped.

Now Edge wants to use a chair, the ref pulls away the chair. Christian uses the chair for a shot and the ref doesn't see it, Christian wins the IC title. Christian's got a bloody nose or upper lip or something.

Kronik is coming up, they were two guys I wasn't really fond of in WWF before. And they're managed by Steven Richards? What a combination of people.

I love how American badass Undertaker wears the world's most padded gloves. That's like an inch and a half of cushion on those. Oh, and his promos as this suck. Time to watch Taker bury some more WCW guys!

Kronik vs. Kane & Undertaker

Adams is getting "crushed" for a while in the ring. There's an awkward moment of confusion that ends in a poorly executed backbreaker.

Undertaker walks the ropes and goes for some armlocks and armbreakers. Taker loses his bandana. He goes to duck a clothesline and Adams tries to grab for something. Now Taker's knocked out, everyone's out there brawling.

Somehow Kane is hot tagged in despite Taker never really being in much danger, just a long sleeper hold. Kane hits a sidewalk slam and wants two chokeslams, can't get them.

Richards runs in the ring, he's knocked down. Kane leaps in with a clothesline, Taker gives Clark a chokeslam and wins the match. Richards gets chokeslammed too.

Tazz makes Booker T angry.

Coach tells Stephanie that RVD is in dressing room 5. She talks to a door and Jericho hears the whole thing. Man Jericho is full of zingers. Oh here's RVD's music, he wasn't even in there.

Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Jericho

Good series of grappling at the start of this match. And now another good series with some covers, some chops and WOOOs. There's a mixed chant of "RVD" and "Y2J" coming from the crowd.

Jericho ducks a sweep then hits a leaping enzuigiri. RVD springboards into a kick and almost gets a pin with his legs. Jericho tries his springboard dropkick and RVD ducks it. RVD with a leaping spin heel kick and Jericho moves, he htis the barricade.

Ladder is out! Jericho hits a suplex onto the ladder. And now they reverse the spot. Jericho wants the walls, but RVD twists away. RVD with some somersaults and splashes and kicks and a moonsault but falls on the knees. Lionsault misses and Jericho is kicked and bleeding.

Five star frog splash! It misses! Chair in the ring now, Jericho's slammed onto it.

Up the ladder, RVD wants to splash. Jericho tosses the chair at RVD. Jericho climbs the ladder and puts on a tarantula over the top! Jericho leaps off and misses. Tim White's being pretty obvious about relaying info here.

Suicide dive from RVD, he dives into a chair though. Two count, and back in they go. RVD almost caught with an enzuigiri but somehow he reverses it into his own kick. Jericho with a fujiwara armbar. And he gets in some chair shots as Stephanie runs out. She ducks a chair, Van Daminator from RVD!

Five star frog splash! Jericho's down for the three count.

Everyone's disrespecting Booker T. Even Big Show dressed up like him.

CAN YOU DIG IT SUCKA

Booker T's entrance is so great an- IF YA SMELLLLL

Shane McMahon & Booker T vs. The Rock

Rock goes for an early cover, Shane runs in and disrupts the cover despite missing his attack by a mile. And when Shane's tagged in, he has second thoughts and tries running, but runs into a clothesline.

Shane's punching theatrics won't work, he's caught in a sharpshooter but Booker T saves him. Somehow Booker T is the legal man now?

Booker T's got a chair, Rock ducks the shot. "I WANT MY BELT BACK." Booker T hits a deliberate knee drop, here comes the spinaroonie!

On to the table goes Rock, Shane wants to jump on him but can't. Booker T with a big superkick puts Rock back to the table.

Shane's got the WCW title, he tries to lunge at Rock, he ducks and Booker T is out. Now Shane knocks out Rock too, the ref doesn't even care, what.

Rock's somehow taking on both guys at one now with punches. DDT and Booker T kicks out. Shane nips up and wants to do a people's elbow. Rock nips up to stop it, rock bottom! Spinebuster on Booker T!

Test runs out to fight Rock and gives him a big boot right in front of the ref. Bradshaw comes out to chase away Test. What was this segment about. Nick Patrick puts Rock back in the ring and wants Booker T to cover. He's gone corrupt.

Mike Chioda runs out to argue with Nick Patrick's bias. These two are fighting. Booker T gets a rock bottom in the middle of the ring, out runs Hebner and he counts a pin.

Regal has Kurt Angle's book on his desk. Torrie likes Tajiri now? Sounds like a ploy. Also, she is a giant compared to him.

Stacy Kiebler is in WWF New York and she shaves her legs.

Rhyno vs. Tajiri

Tajiri hits an early springboard moonsault. Now a superkick and a low dropkick, this one should be pretty quick in action. WOOOOO! Here's some chops! Oh no Tajiri's ribs have been injured.

Rhyno hitting the suplexes, but his powerbomb is countered. Tajiri with a nice flip and elbow. Rhyno lays out Tajiri with a spinebuster though.

Torrie wants to distract Rhyno, so he's gonna chase her. She is struggling to run in those heels, and she falls in the ring. He wants to gore her and Tajiri saves Torrie.

Tajiri tries a DDT and Rhyno just holds on. Here's the tarantula! Oh god Rhyno is way too heavy for this, they both slide right off the ropes. Gore! Rhyno wins the US championship.

Kurt Angle sprayed Austin and the alliance with milk from a hose, what. Austin stole his medals, this is a storyline we've never seen before. Austin throws the medals off a bridge, there's a segment we've never seen before.

Kurt Angle vs. Steve Austin

Angle jumps Austin during his entrance. The crowd's got a bunch of chants going for Angle and USA. Thesz press from Angle!

Things are slowed down with a sleeper hold here. Austin gets out of the ring, grabs his belt, and tries to leave. Angle catches up to him and kicks him to the edge of the entrance ramp. Wait why are there sunglasses next to Austin here. Angle tosses Austin off the ramp noW!

Back to the ring and Heyman is arguing Hebner is corrupt for not DQing Angle. Mats from the floor are removed. Austin wants a piledriver, Angle counters with the back body drop. And now they trade places with those moves.

Austin picks up Angle and drops him on the spanish announce table. It stays together, so he does it again, still in once piece. A third try, this table won't break. Camera man gets taken out by Austin.

USA chants going, Austin's face has some blood on it. Austin takes a moment to give Angle's family the finger.

Knee countered into a rollup by Angle! Austin gets his own rollup, two counts for both. Angle hits a series of suplexes and hurts himself doing it. He tries a moonsault, not gonna work.

Austin tosses aside Hebner, Angle hits a low blow. DDT and Austin rolls out of the ring. He doesn't stay to get counted out. Angle hits a stunner! Austin kicks out!

Stunner whiffed, olympic slam missed, Austin with an olympic slam. Austin wants a piledriver and Angle fights it. He finally gets it but Angle kicks out. Two middle fingers, Austin wants the stunner but Angle gets the ankle lock on. Austin can't get the ropes, he taps out!

The whole Angle family rushes the ring and they pick up Kurt. The WWF stars come out to congratulate him too.

Star of the PPV: Kurt Angle

Botch of the PPV:
Booker T runs in to interrupt a sharpshooter and somehow becomes the legal man in the ring.

Survivor Series 2001

When I learned I was watching an Invasion PPV i drank a lot to forget about this.

I keep forgetting, who's the guy doing the Boston Crab in the video packages to open WWE shows.

They're trying to make us feel like we're watching the Apocalypse Now of WWF PPVs, so given how good Apocalypse Now is this should be a top 50 of all time.

WWF EUROPEAN TITLE MATCH:

Christian Vs. Al Snow

Al Snow's getting some offense in early and now Christian gts to stomp all over and Teddy Long's the ref for this one. Side Russian legsweep followed by a cover by Christian.

Christian with an aggressive assault on Al Snow. Christian with the upper hand and Snow's head bounces off the top turnbuckle and now he's getting choked. Snow's caught Christian and here come the headbutts.

Counters by Snow and a kick to the face, kickout by Christian and he gets pummeled in the corner, Powerbomb by Snow and only a two count. Christian's leg gets pulled and now snow's flying and Christian reverses.

Close encounters here and Snow with the Snowplough, FOOT ON THE ROPE! Christian's circling the ring, Snow chases him down. Christian quickly picks up the pin soon after.

Everyone on team alliance suspects Stone Cold is turning on the alliance. They all scared and people chanting what.

Loads and loads of people are scared of losing their jobs. Regal is taunting Mr McMahon and he's still feuding with Tajiri apparently. Regal choking out Torrie, so hot well not really.

New theme for Regal, sounds more menacing.

CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:

William Regal Vs. Tajiri (c)

Tajiri has what JR likes to call educated feet. EARLY TARANTULA! Ref breaks it up and and there's the elbow! Tajiri's got to have one of the more predictable movesets.

Oh my, Tajiri's neck got stuck between the ropes. Regal's already bleeding from the nose. Powerbomb and pin, wait what already?

Torrie comes out to go all poor tajiri, Regal knocks the hell out of her. Timmy White is outraged.

Edge and Test have the same hair, but that's about about it as far similarities goes. Keibler's legs are better than her face, though her face ain't half bad.

Coach is interviewing Edge and we're going through the predictable Qs and Edge is still chill.

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL AND UNITED STATES TITLE UNIFICATION MATCH:

Test (c) Vs. Edge (C)

Edge still has a terrible theme and they lock up. Another tie up between the two and Edge is controlling the positioning. Test though's ready to try and overpower him.

Crossbody by Edge and Test powes out quickly enough. test is stomping and off to the outside we go. Dropkick by Edge and Test is on the backpedal.

Back to the ring they go and Edge's in trouble again, swinging neckbreaker and Edge's getting back into this. Test is reeling from a series of punches, Irish whip, kick to the head, hotshot on the ropes by Test.

Big strikes by Test. Oh dear god, Test is applying some wear down moves, its all over! how can Edg survive a knee to the back! Edge with a dropkick off the second rope and Test replies with a bodyslam.

Edge misses a crossbody and now Test puts him up. Edge's going with a victory roll but Test hangs on. Jump by Test right into a missile dropkick.

Couple more nearfalls and EDGE PULLS DOWN TEST! Compressing the spine and Edge GETS SPEARED BY TEST! KICKOUT!

Edge misses the spear and Test kills him with a pump handle slam, going for the powerbomb, RANA AND A SPEAR! This match is still somehow not over yet. Rollup AND EDGE WINS THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE!

Kurt's with Steph backstage, at times I can't tell if Steph's hot or if its a myriad of work making her look kinda attractive. Then again just about every chick looks like rigid in the face.

Lita's with Jeff and in walks Matt for some more chatter.

WCW TAG TEAM AND WWF TAG TAM TITLE UNIFICATION MATCH:

CAGE MATCH:

The Dudley Boyz Vs. The Hardy Boyz

Well, these two teams certainly know each other, no complaints with them being the ones chosen for this unification match. Irish whip and Matt lands the clothesline.

Double team and Bubba fights back and Devon's taking some tough hits. Hardy with a backslide and Devon counters.

Neckbreaker from Bubba and he goes for the pin. Knee by Devon and now Matt Hardy's getting isolated by Bubba. DDT from Matt Hardy. Jeff tags in and starts to clean house and the Hardyz have the upper hand.

The Hardyz are going to go for the cage escape but the Dudleyz are catching up and Bubba's going to catch him. Another cage escape attempt by Jeff.

All four guys right now are lying down. Stomps by Bubba and THREE DEE! MATT WITH THE SAVE! Bubba ramming Matt into the cage.

This time the dudleyz are climbing, but not to escape Jeff is the target and he dodges both! Now Matt's on the offensive. Matt's outmaneuvering the dudleyz, Bubba kicks out.

Hardyz from up top and Bubba's out cold! Now Matt's climbing up, Devon in hot pursuit. Stacy's pair of legs are distracting the ref big time and she steals the key to the cage, what a witch.

he does get to introduce a table to the cage though. Nick Patrick had no chance, at least it wasn't Hulk Hogan seducing him. Matt's again climbing up top and HE drops down to the floor. Jeff could be in trouble here.

He goes for a pin and Bubba kicks out. GYAAAAAAH, JEFF GOING THROUGH THE TABLE! Jeffrey Nero Hardy is suicidal! Homicidial, Genocidal! THERE'S THE PIN!

THE DUDLEYZ, ARE OFFICIALLY THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD WRESTLING ALLIANCE!

While Jeff's been through worse Lita and the EMTs are making it sound like this is worse than previous crashes.

IMMUNITY BATTLE ROYALE:

Bunch of guys we don't care about.

Over the top rope battle royale sees Stasiak eliminated before Tazz could even the ring. Paul Heyman looks totally shocked.

Hurricane dives into Faarooq and Bradshaw clotheslines him out of the match. Faarooq just got eliminated. Out goes DDP. Lance Storm eliminates Chuck Palombo.

We've even got wildcard entrants like Chavo in this. Well Raven's not winning. Billy Sends Chavo out of this match. Two men got eliminated by Tazz and out goes Spike Dudley.

Bradshaw knocks out Richards and out he goes. Billy gunn looking as generic as ever and he eliminates Tazz. Bradshaw's been vry impressive so far. Storm kicks him in the face and we're down to four guys.

Billy Gunn and Test are the other members of the alliance and WWF. Random neckbreaker by Bradshaw on Storm. Billy and Test are sort of just standing. Billy's not capable of skinning the cat.

Test eliminates Bradshaw and Lance Storm. Billy going for the fameasser BIG BOOT! Immunity goes to Test.

Really long video package to tell us nothing much. Austin's the guy everyone's talking about backstage.

WWF WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH:

Trish Stratus Vs. Jacqueline Vs. Lita Vs. Ivory Vs. Mighty Molly Vs. Jazz

Rules for this are pretty dumb. Jazz was the secret entrant for this one and the crowd has no idea wh oshe is. Heyman does and Jazz is murdering Lita.

Hurricanrana by Lita and Molly tags in, she's posing and Jacqueline comes in. Molly gets choppd twice, wait are they actually wrestling? Armdrag, and a dropkick.

Ivory eats a dropkick, sunset flip and a bunch of rollups. Catapult by Ivory and in comes Trish. Takedown and a catapult. Molly going for the cheap shot. Lita' dumbed out and the alliance chicks assault Trish.

All six are now brawling. Jazz gets clobbered and Molly's in trouble. Lita going for a splash, Jacqueline turns on her! Ivory turning on everyone! Lita going for the Moonsault , Jazz and Molly gang up on her.

Lita's by far the most popular girl in the ring right now. Trish backdrops her out of the ring. Trish uses a lowbridge to avoid Jazz. STRATUSFACTION ON IVORY! We've got a new Women's champion.

Look at all these big guys, Kane, Big show, Taker, The Rock and a vanilla midget in Chris Jericho. Time to get motivated.

This motivational speech has been going for so long Rock's going to get burnt out before the start of the match. They've all got their ams crossed and he's just jumping up and down like a lunatic.

Up and down, up and down. Rock's the first one out once Vince's speech is done. Team Alliance is walking looking all confident.

Video Package and we've now got the whole winner take all match being setup. Look at Kurt Angle being evil!

Jericho and The Rock love to beat each other up. DTA went from meaning Don't Trust Anyone to Don't Trust Austin.

If you know Zilch about this angle then this video package is awesome, but knowing how we got here dilutes everything so damn much.

MAIN EVENT:

SURVIVOR SERIES ELIMINATION MATCH:

WINNER TAKES ALL MATCH:

Shane McMahon, Booker T, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Big Show, Kane, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho and The Rock

Look at all these cornerstones of WCW and ECW in this match. Oh, Stone Cold's theme is so damn bad.

JR: "JIM CORNETTE COULD REPLACE YOU TOMORROW", these two announcers are bickering a lot. Rock and Austin going at it. Thez Press and Austin's flipping us all and Rock kicks out.

Austin gets taken down by Rock's Thesz press and Rock's copying Austin. Using Ditto moves, meanwhile Booker T runs in to beat on him. Clothesline and Shane's getting very involved in this match.

Booker T's getting beaten up hard and now Jericho's chopping him. Flapjack and a dropkick. Crowd's happy because RVD just came in. Jericho's quickly getting the upper hand of this conflict.

Chops by Jericho and RVD's hanging on, he avoids a dropkick and makes plenty of flips before doing a moonsault. Rana attempt, Jericho turns it into the walls and Shane's a specialist at breaking up these counts.

Kurt Angle wants a piece of Kane. Kurt's getting overpowered and Kane just dropped him. Uppercut and Angle's takes a boot to the stomach and here's our suplex machine! Angle trying to soften up Kane, but eats a sidewalk slam instead.

Kane with a lying clothesline and Shane's getting involved again. Undertaker with a tag and he's now pulverising Angle. Head meets corner. Angle makes a desperate tag to Booker T. Big Boot knocks him down and Taker with a legdrop.

Again Shane stops the count and Undertaker's eyeballing the alliance while giving Booker T the old school. Undertaker's just having fun and he's showcasing his strength again. Stone Cold will surely stop this American Badass!

Nope.

Ok, will EVERYBODY! On the Alliance be able to take down The Undertaker? Not quite! But it was a start and Angle's now being beaten up real bad. Swinging Neckbreaker by Angle and Undertaker kicks out with ease.

Here comes Big Show! This isn't turning out to be a good day for Kurt Angle, down comes Show's strap and RVD's getting press slammed. Show's cleaning house and going for the chokeslam, ANGLE SLAM OUT OF NOWHERE! Tag by Booker T and the Scissor kick drops show.

SPINAROONIE! Tag to RVD who's going for the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Flying Elbow by Shane who gets the first pin. He's shuffling and there's Rock to give him the smackdown. Clothesline and Rock tags in Kane and Shane just got drilled!

Undertaker's now in there to give the finishing blow. THE TOMBSTONE IS INCOMING! HERE COMES JERICHO! LIONSAULT CONNECTS! Shane O'Mac has been eliminated.

Kurt Angle's trying to outwrestle Jericho but elbows are getting in the way. inverted backbreaker and Jericho's got a lot of energy. Takedown by Angle and in comes a camera shot of Shane. RVD beheaded by Kane, these two will never see eye to eye.

Another five star frog splash by Rob van Dam and all hell has broken loose! We still have a half hour to go! Spinning heel kick by Van dam is enough to eliminate Kane!

But Undertaker has found prey, and he's already beating up Van Dam, Booker T, Angle and Austin on his own. Snakes eyes and he's going to take out Kurt Angle with the last ride!

Well Undertaker had to get eliminated some way! Austin and Angle had to pull all the stops for this to happen though. DDT on Booker T and Angle saves him. Jericho's still down and him and Rock will be on their own against the Alliance here.

Rock gets up but Booker T just runs into a samoan drop. Austin's breaking up the count. The rollup has eliminated Booker T! Van Dam's kicking ass, until Rock pulls him back down. Y2J's finally back in and he's beating up Van Dam. Bulldog and chops. Whip and Jericho's pulling stunts out of Van Dam's playbook.

Lionsault! Misses and RVD kicks him in the face and JR notes that Jericho must be checking out his teeth. I obviously did not hear Jericho talk about the match. Jericho eliminates RVD and Stone Cold quickly lays out Rock.

Angle's trying to wear down Chris Jericho. Superplex off the top by Austin and Jericho's in trouble. Suplex again and a cover, kickout. Angle's now right in there and he's grappling. But Jericho got the ankle lock on! Tag made to Austin.

More stomps by Austin and Y2J's been carefully isolated. Crowd's dying down. They trade a lot of blows and they knock each other down. Rock and Angle now in the ring. Suplex and single leg takedown. SHARPSHOOTER!

WHAT THE HELL! ANGLE JUST TAPPED OUT! Jericho almost got pinned by Austin, the Walls have been applied. Y2J's getting chopped up. Another close nearfall and they chop some more. Rollup and Austin's countering a lot, WHICH ENDS UP WITH JERICHO PINNED!

Rock and Austin are trading blows, Jericho's upset and while the people's elbow is incoming, JERICHO JUST STRUCK DOWN THE ROCK! BUT ROCK KICKED OUT! Undertaker runs in from the back to stop Jericho from interfering any more.

The two guys left in the ring trade blows some more, Austin tosses Rock to the outside and Rock's knee may have been tweaked. Austin's chopping and punching away! Rock's attacking like a maniac. Action moves back to the ring holy christ J-Ham just hit 4 dingers.

SHARPSHOOTER! Austin's got Rock on the backfoot! Rock reaches the ropes. Austin's got the belt, BUT THIS TIME ROCK'S GOT THE SHARPSHOOTER! And HE reaches the ropes! Nick Patrick comes in and eliminates Hebner from the equation. Rock going for the Rock Bottom on him, AUSTIN WITH A ROCK BOTTOM!

REF COUNT IS ON AND ROCK KICKED OUT! Austin just nailed Nick Patrick. Going for the Stunner, Rock pushes him into Hebner, Austin GETS THE STUNNER! The ref's out cold and Austin' trying to wake him up and ANGLE JUST NAILED AUSTIN WITH THE BELT!

ROCK BOTTOM AND THE WWF HAS WON!

Huge updates after Survivor Series!

Surprisingly enough, none of the titles change hands between Survivor Series and Not-Armageddon (Vengeance). A lot of cleaning up had to be done though with Alliance members, and here's what went down!

- Mick Foley resigns from the WWF (both kayfabe and literally)
- Paul Heyman is fired by Vince McMahon and replaced with Jerry Lawler, who coincidentally divorced The Kat and returned to commentary
- Shane McMahon apologizes, admits Vince is the better man, and walks away
- Stephanie tries to put all the blame on Shane McMahon, but gets escorted out by security
- Rob Van Dam, Christian, and the Dudleyz keep their jobs due to having titles, and Test for having immunity
- William Regal gets to keep his job due to kissing Vince McMahon's ass (literally)
- Lance Storm gets rehired after beating The Rock via countout (this may have been after Vengeance, but the point stands)
- Hurricane and Mighty Molly pretty much get to keep their jobs, courtesy of Ric Flair
- The US and WCW tag team titles were retired after Survivor Series. The WCW World title was renamed the World Championship
- Vince is moments away from firing Steve Austin and giving Kurt Angle the WWF title, when Ric Flair makes a huge appearance and announces that Shane and Steph gave him their 50% ownership! Then Austin comes out, turns face with NO explanation, and remains WWF Champion
- Many of the Alliance members don't appear again until March, after the first WWF Draft

Champions
WWF: Steve Austin
World: The Rock
Intercontinental: Edge
European: Christian
Tag Team: Dudley Boyz
Hardcore: Rob Van Dam
Cruiserweight: Tajiri
Women's: Trish Stratus

To clarify, all along the question of "How did Shane and Stephanie have enough cash to buy WCW and ECW out from under Vince's nose?" had been answered with "they both sold their quarter-ownership stake in the WWF to a consortium of buyers."

The day after Survivor Series, that consortium was revealed as Ric Flair, now 50% owner of the WWF.
