A good cop shouldn't have to hesitate because of what some bad cops did.

Bad cops shouldn't get off because there are some good cops. I mean look at the Tamir Rice, Philando Castille, and Justine Damond shootings. And those there are just the ones on the top of my mind. I don't know if the officer who shot Justine Damond will be found guilty or not. Ultimately when bad cops get by with what they do, it leads to a distrust of the police force.

I think it is pretty overblown... while if you follow the comment to a natural conclusion you could in a way make an argument she did imply that..and honestly it is probably what she was intending to imply... but I think it is a stretch saying she actually said all that and that it should be having such a backlash.

Oh, I agree with that, too. Bad cops shouldn't be able to skirt the system or be given the benefit of the doubt.

I'm just saying that... If a violent criminal has a gun trained on an innocent person and is threatening to shoot them, the cop shouldn't be sitting there going "Hmm, if I shoot this guy, will there be backlash..." They should be thinking about how to handle the situation, whatever it requires. Obviously, yes, there are times to hesitate. But there are also times when they absolutely shouldn't hesitate because it could cost themself or an innocent person their life.

To me hesitation is part of what makes someone a good cop. You should hesitate when you're holding a gun. If ending someone's life is effortless for you mentally, I don't want you anywhere near a job where you have ample opportunity to do it.

Well, like mentioned, there are times to hesitate and times not to.

If somebody is screaming that they're going to kill you and in the process of aiming their gun to do so, do you want the cop to hesitate?

Some situations allow for hesitation. Others clearly do not and cost you your life.

That is why a lot of scenarios regarding police you must remember that they sometimes have to just make these decisions as they come up. And, mistakes can happen in certain situations.

Lack of hesitation can also cost lives and the lives of innocents. I'm not saying "mistakes shouldn't ever happen," I'm saying "police, like others, should take responsibility for massive mistakes in their line of work -- and should be aware of that fact".

Input as a guy who works in the auto industry: When the Chinese government decides it's going to do something domestic, it's going to happen 99% of the time for better or worse. We're already prepping for it on the supply side.

And if China does it, everyone else is going to follow too because we're trying to build on global transmission platforms.

Curious about how they'll handle trucks though. That level of torque required isn't nearly possible with electrification technology in the foreseeable future. If they relent anywhere, it'll be there.

The Senate 100% won't happen. Dems are way more likely to lose seats then pick them up based on the races. This was just a terrible cycle for the Dems.

House is definitely a possibility though! I'd say less than 50% but still a possibility.

Yeah, at best the Democrats (+ Independents) can get to 50, but that would require them to take Nevada and Arizona and hold seats in West Virginia, North Dakota, Montana, Missouri and Indiana.

After that they would have to flip Texas or Mississippi if they want to take the Senate.
