Reinhardt is really riding high off of heroes, huh. Celica number one and Tharja number 10 is something I wouldn't have guessed. Ephraim/Hector on top makes me happy. I'll need to save up for them

It's actually hard to say. Ike took first Male side despite the split vote so it didn't matter. For Farfetched Heroes, the top 4 characters were the same regardless of if you combined characters or not. Mia's position would move up among the 4 but that doesn't change the top 4. For the CYL Voting Gauntlet, Marth was snubbed for Chrom despite combined Marth having more votes than Chrom so that's not a good sign.

I have no idea why Intelligent Systems wants to sabotage the face of Fire Emblem but they seem to be intent on doing that.

i predicted... so much of this, but didn't see celica coming at all. doesn't japan not even really like her?

Celica has a rockin' design; I don't even like the character much (to elaborate: I like the character... until lategame where she dives headfirst off a cliff) but that hair/outfit is gorgeous. She's one of the faces of the most recent games so that obviously helps a lot too. And she was even in Warriors. Not too surprised she's doing well.

I'm a bit more surprised that Tharja has fallen so far. Complacent fans? I mean, I even like Tharja pretty well myself but haven't sent any votes her way (nor will I; I like her but not "top seven" like). Chrom also fell notably. But then, perhaps Chrom's fans were riled up by the way Smash so obviously snubbed him, but then were placated by him headlining Warriors. I dunno.

Don't think this is entirely fair. Not going to deny the power of her rack but I think she shows a decent amount of character in the limited dialogue she has. Probably looking like the best FE Heroes original character I think at the moment.

I mean if we wanna rule out boob factor for a comparison I like her more than Camilla already tbh.

Alfonse being at 19 among the men is much dumber. Or Veronica being at 5th for that matter. FEH characters overrated in general on the poll.

I'm both pleased and surprised Tharja is "only" in 10th.

Didn't see Celica coming either.

Nino in 8th... Don't think she can catch up, but I'll be voting for her every day regardless.

2-4 is very unfortunate. Camilla doesn't need another variant so soon(She or Tharja will probably be on the Valentine Banner), Erika just got a alternative of herself, and Azura is both of those at once(Minus the Valentine bit).

On the male side.... I kind of want Marth to get second. He deserves a variant deserving of "Hero King".

Overall, I think I'm really happy with the CYL2 results. Nino making 8th female side is better than I expected. She really might get a Brave variant in a few years. I have no idea how Myrrh went for 122nd overall to 18th female side. Ninian went from 100th over all the 17th female side. Lilina breaks into the Top 20. Micaiah manages to hang on to a Top 10 female side position. Mia hangs on to Top 20 with only her Radiant Dawn votes. Celica is also a strong choice for a Brave variant. Hopefully, things don't change too much over the back half of the voting period.

Myrrh's art didn't come out until the start of the 3rd day of voting and her stats didn't come out until the start of the 4th day of voting. That's why I said I wasn't sure why Myrrh did so well. She either did quite well on the first two days under her own power or she's going to shoot even higher over the next few days.

Pretty much!

Red tomes are more or less a barren wasteland outside of the seasonal Nowi and newly released Eirika 2.0. So Celica being super high doesn't surprise me. Also she's a cute girl.

Tharja/Camilla dropping makes sense to me too. I think the FE:H fanbase is just absolutely tired of only Fates/Awakening seasonals. And the players that stuck around after almost a year basically have played more than just the recent games.

Hector is super popular along with Ephraim, so yeah, no surprise there. Marth should probably get a brave form before big man Ephraim though -- but if he doesn't and Ephraim does then I don't actually mind all that much.

I don't think many voters care about how many alts a character already has. We all know Ike/Lyn/Lucina would be destroying things again if they were here.

After thinking about it, a plausible explanation for Awakening being hit hard (Tharja + Chrom) but not Fates (Azura + Camilla + Takumi etc.): as mentioned, the folks who have stuck it out with FEH for a year have played more than the two biggest games. Of the two, Awakening's fanbase is relatively casual, while Conquest in particular is a favourite of many longtime fans, so the latter has held up better. We'll know more with the full results.

It probably goes without saying CYL1 was a much better metric of the general popularity of the characters, in terms of being in line with other polls that have been done in the past. CYL2 is obviously a poll of just Heroes players pretty much, and it shows in obvious places like Reinhardt and Nino.

Josh has fallen pretty far in popularity, and I'm sure his crappy art had something to do with it! He's one of my faves from SS, but I just don't care about him in FEH. Infantry swords are a dime a dozen, and his art is just off

Leif is now the only lord in the series not yet in FEH (unless Kris counts, but Kris is notably unpopular anyway), so he's attracting attention for that.

I still like Joshua in FEH and think his art gets more hate than it deserves but the saturation of Red Swords, particularly considering my personal preferences, definitely hurts him.

That being said, while I don't think it's bad it's adequate at best. Like I generally use Karel over him in this game despite preferring Joshua in his source game just because his art and VA is perfect.

Really glad to see the older FE get a bunch of representation in the CYL2 poll, especially my Jugdral boys, Leif and Sigurd. Reinhardt getting that high up isn't too surprising, but it's still cool to see. And I'm glad to see that the Echoes mains are well-received. Definitely a good sign, since I always felt like Echoes came and went.

Caeda gets her signature Wing Sword

Hinoka get's Hinoka's Spear

Raven gets Basilikos (There goes my prediction for what a Brave Hector could receive)

Felicia gets.... Felecia's Plate. I'm pretty curious about this one!

As for refines...

Zephiel's Exkesachs as well as Falchion from the various Lords. Dare I hope for built in DC for Zephiel?

just started leveling Lyon and noticed he doesn't have a raven tome as his 4* weapon. Joshua's is a slaying edge and Mia's is a wo dao so i figured he'd get the raven tome. and Henry has dark magic for his 1-2* weapons so it wouldn't even be breaking that pattern. oh well. i guess losing a 3* Henry isn't much if i really wanted to use him without 5*ing him.

Don't like the idea of Basilikos Raven since it basically means two things. 1) It's not likely going to be Linus's when his brother has the sword. 2) Unless Lloyd is patched with this, Regal Blade is not going to be upgraded and they've literally just shit on Lloyd.

Linus didn't use Basilikos in FE7 either, I think it was Darin who did.

You can still hope for Linus to get a Tomahawk variant or something.

I'm a bit worried about this as well. But if they're giving some love to lesser used units then hopefully Lloyd will get some as well. Not sure what Linus will get at this point if he gets in.

Linus had a Brave Sword and Tomahawk. tbh I'd probably just give him a Brave Sword (and maybe some unique skills) since he actually stood out for not having a special weapon in a battle where almost everyone else did!

Not that I really think Linus's chances of getting in any time soon are that great? In addition to Lloyd and Ursula, he finished well behind Limstella, Sonia, and Ephidel in the first CYL (and we know IntSys pays attention to that). The only FE7 villain he finished above was... Nergal. Ha!

Hrm... I don't know why I imagined Linus with an axe when he wields both that and a sword in the fights with him(And he has a sword in this official art). Though him being an axe unit would round out the Four Fangs colorwise.

Axe infantry aren't the most common class so Linus is an easy choice there (also distinguishes him from Lloyd and gets him away from sword infantry hell). Mind you he'd likely be free and they love giving us free sword infantry so who knows.

He could use a Light Brand or a Devil Axe, those aren't in the game yet! ...lol
