that should never happen outside of an epic case

I always hate it when evidence gets re-organized - it removes the possibility of certain pieces of evidence being re-used in a surprising way, and if a surprising piece of evidence sticks for no apparent reason then you know it IS going to be re-used in a surprising way

I guess it can be played well like in 1-4 where the fact that the metal detector is still in your evidence leaves you wondering how it'll be used, but meh

the lack of reorganization of evidence in 1-5 is my favorite part of that case

I feel like as soon as you get the official autopsy report that Knightley was killed between 3 and 6 A.M. that should immediately clear Simon of suspicion considering there's no way he was still there at that point, but nobody ever even touches on that point.

Like, that should be your first big clue about who Simon is. There's no way Knightley keeps a chisel inside his chessboard all the time just for the heck of it, and it's not like he planned on getting arrested in the first place, so he couldn't have prepared it in advance.

The chessboard does make sense as a backup plan of sorts. It's plausible he would have some sort of backup considering he was planning the murder of his co-worker.

Granted, the idea of chiseling himself out of prison only makes sense in a fiction world, but then again, Elbird was doing about the same thing.

plus there's some idle time where you're walking around the screen not having dialogue with the AAI format

Well, he still needs a little over 4000 lines to catch him. Dunno that he'll get quite that many since he's absent for large chunks of E2-3, E2-4 isn't that long, and E2-5 has such a large cast with several scenes he has no part in. If he does take the lead, I doubt it's by much.

Also, we've still gotta do AJ before DD! Edgeworth would have a better chance of holding onto the lead longer, but Phoenix will probably have it back before the end because of 4-4.

and we're doing DD in timeline order so 5-6 will be the second DD case

Interesting to see how AAI cases have lower line counts than relative to their length. I know I'm repeating myself from the previous thread but if you'd asked me for odds on 3-2 having more lines than E2-2 I'd have given you 10:1 odds against that, easy.

also probably part of it is the fact that so much of AAI's dialogue is hidden in wrong answers

you don't have generic wrong answer responses during testimonies like you do in the OT and AJ, but every character has two or three unique responses to a wrong answer

this is the case in DD and SoJ too so I wonder if it'll impact the line count there somewhat too

I just didn't want to have to save scum to get every single piece of dialogue there was to get

I definitely look forward to seeing the line breakdown for this case. I don't even have a good sense of whether Miles or Gregory has more lines in it. I assume Miles, but...?

Also I just noticed that the killers of E2-1 and E2-2 are literally tied for line count (so far), that's amusing.
