Yeah, wall jumps can be pretty tricky to execute at first.

They're basically there to teach you how to do it.

You can actually get stuck in there really early in the game, which is why they have guys there to teach you.

Just left the theater. Great movie.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of guys a couple rows behind me who talked the entire movie, and not even whispering. I could hear everything they said.

well I beat that one you have to keep shooting in the mouth until it backs into the lava since you have to beat that one to get to the Grapple Beam

I beat one of the bosses on that big statue too since it grayed out but that was a while ago (I guess it was Kraid based on my limited Metroid knowledge gleaned from Smash Bros.)

I beat a boss that looks like that sea urchin boss from DKC3 and one that looks like one of those Chozo Statues too but those were also a while ago

yeah I don't recommend it that strongly

especially if you haven't played DKC1 already since that one's much better

DKC3 has some good things in it but it's a big step down from the other two

it's also the beginning of bad Rare as a company

I played DKC1 long ago

(Actually, I think it was also the first video game I ever played since they had an SNES at the daycare I went to before I started preschool. Pretty sure I beat the GBA version of the game years later, though).

I think I prefer 5, but 4 was still very good. Considering going back to 3 FES at some point, but it appears that there's very little leeway for maxing all links and the guides are also sketchy and easy to screw up following.

Nah, I followed it for a 100% run last year and had zero problems with it. Or if I did, they were so minor that I don't remember. At the very least, I maxed all the S. Links.

It's true that your margin of error is very small, but yeah.

I will hesitantly back up Leon here on the guides, because I know I've used them in the past and it worked but this is long enough ago I couldn't tell you any details.

Also, I started Witcher 3 after my detour waiting for that patch and I'm wondering if perhaps playing Bloodborne first was a mistake. Movement and combat feels so awkward/sluggish. Still having fun though.

Watched the latest Persona 5 anime episode. I like how they showed them "preparing" for the Palace by buying weapons and items and stuff, as well as Joker trying to craft lock picks. It was a cool little touch. The fight against Kamoshida was pretty good, although I think they tried to be a little too dramatic here.

In Super Metroid news, I've completed the sunken ship. I beat the ghost boss thing, and now I also have the Gravity Suit!

I think I barely beat him and was very concerned that I was going to lose a lot of progress

yeah I actually had to beat him twice because I made the mistake of trying to take the other exit out of the sunken ship, which I wasn't ready to do since I hadn't found the Gravity Suit, so I died

after I beat him the second time you better believe I hustled back to that save point

also this Maridia place seems pretty cool
