I got lots of wind boosting gear from the selects, I was lacking in them even through I guess I don't really need them since I can already sub30 Migarsormr easy these days. As well as Cloud BSB2 because that damn thing has evaded me long enough (and just watch me get a dupe of it if I pull on the Cloud AOSB/USB2 fest banner...)

Oh and Emperor's BSB2, because I need to start preparing for the 5* physical immune magicite, moreso for the earth boosting rod through than Emperor himself.

I haven't really had any time to play but I went through the login bonuses this morning + the rewards for already completed missions and there was so much. I'm at 559 mythril right now which I'm pretty sure is the most I've ever had.

I didn't actually beat all 4* mote dungeons yet apparently, missing one, so I need to do that

From the first 7 books my draws only got two cool things: Refia's Burst which is on a fire boost bracer (I like Refia too so this is neat) as well as Tidus's SSB Jecht Shot which I wanted a lot back in the day, so it's cool to get despite never seeing use. Also free +10 Attack

Going to wait on the actual selections till I do the last two books. Currently leaning in this order...

1. Agrias Unique (+Lightning Shield)

2. Fujin Unique (+Wind Magic Dagger) or Bartz Unique (+Wind Light Armor)

3. Minwu SSB (for completion's sake and +10 MND)

4. Ricard SSB (+wind heavy armor) or Ingus SSB (+Earth sword) or Rydia SSB (completion's sake and +10 Mag) or Dorgann SSB (+wind Sword) or Cid SSB (+Wind hat) or Fang bracer (+wind bracer) or Lightning SSB (+Lightning Light Armor)

5. Krile SSB (hastega source in FF5 and +Fire Whip) or Seifer SSB (I like this soul break in flavor, it's kinda useful for FFVIII, and +dark bracers) or Ramza SSB (it's shout I still don't have that)

6. Sarah BSB (+Holy Robe and I would actually use this soul break sometimes as I use Sarah a lot) or Larsa BSB (just a useful soul break though I have astra from Sazh)

7. Locke BSB (+Fire armor and could make Locke have a bit better damage when I use him) or Vivi BSB (+fire rod and I like Vivi and already have his OSB) Aranea BSB (+Lightning helmet) or Gafgarion BSB (+Dark sword and I like Gafgarion/have his LMR)

This is mostly for my reference later though feel free to chastise me if there is a clearly dumb select here or a super obvious snub of any sort from the first 7 books.

Kinda tempted by that FF15 banner for Ignis' USB since he also has a quickcast refresh like Marche, but the rest of the banner is meh to awful.

i'd rather have his BSB to be honest. that thing + Celes or Orlandu + Marche or Nocits should give sub-30 on everything except Isgebind (Celes can't reach) and Siren (the only one where both the 100% crit rate is wasted and Marche can't do any damage).

Not really useful for me right now cause I have nothing for him and don't plan to draw for him any time soon, but pretty set for fire boost armor now I guess so there's that. Seems like a strong LMR if I were to ever get something for him, I suppose.

The BSB comes back next FF15 event but the USB doesn't, though I think you can also get it through the Dream Selection. Ignis' USB is the most valuable relic for the FF15 torment so that's really weird it doesn't come back with that bannert.

I beat the last torment Cid Mission, looks like Prishe's super and Enkidu were enough healing to deal with Dark Dragon's aoes.

Finally got sub-30 on Midgardsormr thanks to Celes USB. She's SO much better than Cloud at wind damage (although he will probably be a lot closer soon with Stormy Quadstrike and his new toys in the fest).

Got Celes Burst from Book 8 draw (I JUST SPENT 50 MYTHRIL TO GO 1/11 AND GET THIS ARGH FUCK OFF GAME)
Got Garnet Burst from Book 9 draw (now this is actually a really cool one. Magic lightning boost dagger. Also in a realm I'm really thin in and for a FF9 character she's better than most)

I'm holding out for the release of second generation CSBs. (I think the standard is: Atk or Mag +50%, chain boost caps at 150 instead of 99, field boost is 50% instead of 20%.) IIRC those will be part of the next festival.

Fest banner 1 & 3 are the most hyped banners right now. Banner 1 has dark/holy chains, Orlandeau USB, godwall and most importantly Elarra's USB, which makes her the arguably the most valuable character even in Japan right now.

3 has Cloud's USB2 and AOSB which do insane damage if you also have his USB1 and Zack's chain and Aerith's USB2 which is the second best medica after Elarra (and better in some situations)

Banner 2 is the one I'm hyped for. Bartz's Chicken Knife, Gilgamesh's new USB and 150 Chain, and Terra's AOSB/USB/BSB2.

3 is only good if you love Cloud... by power level it's easily the worst one in the fest. It's the only one with no gen 2 chain, and Noctis's AOSB is non elemental.

How is that possible? In my experience Zack+Cloud isn't even that good in global. What setups are people using and what fights are they using them for?

When I looked at pintbox's USB evaluations over on Reddit Cloud USB2 doesn't have great numbers. Zidane USB2 is way ahead, which makes sense to me since he's a powerhouse already with just wind Aura + trance. Give him a chase and he'll be an absolute monster.

there's also the existence of Aeris USB, which benefits Cloud+Zack more than other characters that either have self quick-cast or are doing holy/earth damage and can thus team up with Marche.

I guess I'll wait and see what changes they make in global. I would like to have Cloud's stuff but I don't think I'd want to invest in that banner as is.

There's a Lucky Draw tomorrow at least, 13, 15 and Tactics. I know it's risky because of supers but since we got some much mythril recently I'll bite. It's still a chance at something like Orlandeau's USB or Lightning's AOSB.

We're gonna need a new topic soon as well. Guess the title should have something to do with 2.0 chains or the FFVII Weapons coming.
