Well I managed to beat Siren



I saw a guy on the FFRK board in the Siren topic with almost the exact same party as mine except instead of using Onion Knight as an entruster he had dispel and wrath, and I guess that works, since my DPS characters don't have to use dispel and OK can refresh his mUSB so Raines and Kuja can quickcast after Relm uses her USB. Gotta figure a way to weasel out those last 4~ seconds, but the Cid Missions are the priority first, not like those 3 Holy Crystals would be worth much anyway.

So I know no one really cares beyond 30 but what's the highest everyone got on the endless Tonberry thing

I managed to get to 35 and then they started moving too fast and my hones were getting too low. I think I could've got a bit further if both Neo Bahamut and Tritoch were at 6 uses (with the 6* Water Summon announced that ain't happenin ever though) but I'm wondering if there's like a "soft" ceiling.

i killed 36 and was like 100 HP and/or a couple ticks of ATB away from killing the 37th. that was my first try and i didn't bother trying again. i used Marche with his USB and 14 uses of assault Saber, Squall and Seph with their BSBs, Ramza lifesiphon and buffing, Y'shtola mostly being useless.

Looks like I can beat Ice Magicite too. Sub 30 is again way out of reach but maybe beating all 8 just once for a little extra Mythril isn't entirely out of the question. Seems like I can just use my 3* Magicite teams with some slight gear changes and gearing a bit defensively/bringing Minwu and take these guys out once.

But Water and Fire were my strongest elemental teams so I guess time will tell.

Unless you want really want Fujin's stuff no, Zidane's best relic is his USB2 in the next FF9 event which is better overall.

I got around 40 tonberries with a team of Kuja, Terra, Onion Knight, Shelke and Relm. The first 3 used a lot of doublecasts and that hits the next Tonberry when one of them died. Also had Relm use *4 summons even through they're weak they do enough damage so I waste less *5 spells on the magic pixel they have. Also when Kuja uses Ultima it's a free clear of Tonberries.

I don't think there is a cap because apparently someone in Japan got over 100 Tonberries.

About 2800 per hit, went to 3100 when I equipped Darkmare over Slyph, an improvement but still not too great. I do use the command 1 at the first 2/3s of the fight then start wrathing at the counter heal part since she heals most of what Raines does to her.

Yeah conversely for me this is a much better banner to draw on than that one because I already have her USB2 and don't have her AOSB

What's the better one to go with her AOSB? Since they both have water infuse? Which has better overall DPS?

USB2 regarded as her best item overall I believe aside from possibly the Glint. Her Glint doesn't give water infuse-- USB2 is obviously superior to Burst 1 on this banner if that's what you're asking.

Her GLINT doesn't have water infuse...

Her DPS is far higher with just the USB2 vs just the Glint assuming you're using her for water content.

Glint's strength is it can single handedly make her multiple element viable provided you've dived her with the ninja rank boost and the 2 images. And obviously having the Glint AND the USB2 is awesome.

Which is superior overall for DPS? Do I get more from her ninja stuff being buffed, or would I get more from her USB, what it does to her for abilities, and of course AOSB being infused now.

I mean the answer is the same. AOSB isn't really a big factor in DPS calculations-- like it's not really the type of thing that makes a build. It's just a flat bump to any build you're using if you have it.

I guess I would say that talking pure synergy her AOSB gels better with USB2 because En-water helps her AOSB and Ninja Rank Boost does not-- also her AOSB isn't really great for using her in off elements which is part of the fun of her Glint since all Glints are just straight element and not element/NE. So if you're choosing not to use her water tech it's probably because the enemy resists which means they resist her AOSB.

unless you're just a huge fan of Yuffie and you know you want to complete her eventually, you can pass on this banner and wait for her USB2 to show up. it's better than the glint on its own and synergizes with the AOSB much better. i was just saying that IF you got the glint, that would be good enough on its own to justify a dive for her. or the BSB1 + AOSB would also justify a dive. just not really the AOSB by itself.

So I beat the last 3 elemental Magicite this morning.

(Actually wrecked Liquid Flame... that was fun).

And I got to the dark holy, and I figured I would just do Dark first cause I'm stack with Holy.....

Uh.... how the fuck do you dodge Black Fang....

OHKOing my healer 10 seconds in doesn't seem possible to overcome...

If you have enough damage you can preempt the Dark Fang by moving into the second phase of the fight before it happens. I think you need to deal around 114k in the first 10.5 seconds... not that hard if you have Orlandu dived with his OSB, otherwise it can be pretty tough.

The other option is you can control who Dark Fang targets since it's always your lowest %HP team member. You basically build a 4 character team with a 5th character whose job is just taking 2/3 actions and dying. Here's an example of that strategy:

You're not getting tagged by Mist Dragon's counter are you. She always drops at 15s 20s or 25s-- I think it's based on how quickly you damage her (more damage = mist form later). That's the only way I could see having much of a problem. That or not having an adequate healer I guess. She's just a bunch of AOE spam though so she's more straightforward than a lot of the magicites.

One stars are junk. You can hold on to 2 stars for inheritance if you want though.

Easiest 4* are Marilith, Isebind and Midgarsormr, but they're way stronger than the 3*, even if you can sub30 the previous element's 3* you can still get wrecked if you go unprepared.

You do have Orlandeau's OSB so you can also do the 3 entrusters and OSB spam on Kraken.

What exactly is inheritance? I've heard it a bunch. And is there any Cid mission for inheritance?

Which one is easiest really depends on what you have. Malaris is the easiest for me by far.

You get to choose the skill for the most part, some exceptions are boosts if different element's (IE you can't give a water boost to a fire magicite) and certain skills like Darkmare's low HP damage boost.

3* (and *4)are better for inheritance but 2* level up much faster and have less guilt about disposal. You can also overwrite inheritance with another magicite later so if you inheritant a 2* magicite you can overwrite with a 4* later.

Inheritance has two parts: level and ability. Everything you inherit increases the exp of the Magicite which levels it up and gives it higher stats. You can also inherit one passive ability which is the stuff like attack and magic bonus. If it's an elemental ability it can only be inherited on a Magicite with an appropriate element (either the same one, or one that's strong against that one I think)

I have Lightning RM, Lightning boost weapon and shield, and was under VoF and OK PUSB and it only did 48,000 damage to him....

Like a 15th of his bar.

You have to rely on Crits from Onion Knight's pUSB and have Phunbaba or other magicite with critical strike boost. Did you make sure to stock up on lightng magicite before you went in?

Also word of warning, Emperor in the Crystal tower uses AoE Holy on his first turn which can wipe out a party without mitigation so either have a instant cast legend materia use wall ASAP or have Edge or another instant soul break with last stand with mako might.
