Marche is unique because of his refreshable party physical quickcast, only Ingis has a comparable USB. OK and Orlandeau don't really get along since Orlandeau could get his 100% crit overwritten by pUSB. You're gonna need Marche anyway for the FFT Torment revamp if you want good times on it.

Took a shot at the holy banner. Basch BSB and USB. Wanted either TGC USB or Beatrix USB, but not bad regardless.

I'm not worried about Crit override. I have his Legend, so I'm insta casting at start, and I can't imagine many fights with this hypothetical team would last long enough for second cast.

What else does Marche do that id want besides insta cast party?

Marche's USB EX mode doesn't give party instant cast, just party (well, front row) high quick cast.

Other tricks? Well, his BSB is an Atk/Mnd buff (so it stacks with pretty much everything), and he has 4* White so he can open with a Protect or Shell if your white mages are feeling pressured for slots.

Which Legend materia? OK or Orlandeau's? If OK that's okay because Orlandeau will overwrite it but if you uses Mako Might on Orlandeau and he uses his USB first it will get overwritten by pUSB. Also Orlandeau's USB give him a shout level buff so it doesn't stack with OK's pUSB so they don't really work all that well together.

Marche's party quick cast is really enough to sell by itself, almost any physical party benefits from Marche as long as the boss doesn't resist holy or earth or you're using ranged weapons.

What is so impressive about QC1 that would make it equal to say high heal/haste/Last stand as an example of a great USB

It's just really good in general and benefits so many characters. Slower characters attack faster, chains build quicker, team gets meter faster, you get more actions in USB EX modes, some attacks become almost instant, Heavy users stock up faster, Squall/Sora can use more fully charged BSB commands ect. It's one of the best USBs in the game.

The higher the rank of the ability the more chase hits it does. R5 Assault Saber is 11 hits.

BSB commands only count as a rank 1 ability so don't even bother with them.

Her USB does have holy infusion, just legend dive her, hone Assault Saber to r5 and have her use her USB and spam AS and watch the fireworks.

I don't think you'll really ever need to use her BSBs unless you need imperil or lightning damage. Her USB's DPS is in another league.

Does this out DPS Cid USB? And is it good enough that I don't really need that anymore and can buy Marches USB instead now?

I think it's more apples and oranges, Orlandeau has 100% crit chance while Beatrix has infusion, and her chases deal less damage than Orlandeau's ability double assault sabers but she doesn't eat hones as fast. Orlandeau also covers Dark and Earth while Beatrix is limited to holy.

it doesn't outdo TGC, but once it gets going it's not too far off. TGC's main advantage is the instant cast 3 to start (and the ability to excel in elements besides holy). so the shorter the fight, the more of an advantage he has, the longer the fight the lesser. and Beatrix has the option of putting something else in her other slot, whereas TGC kinda needs to carry two assault sabers (or whatever other element he's using).

It's the same as Vivi's if you ever seen that in action. They do a guaranteed "doublecast" where they uses 2 abilities in one action, but it costs two hones. It still also counts as one attack so if you get a real doublecast with a LM or RM it will only add 1 more cast.

yes, his USB is ability double. that means every time you use an ability, it casts it twice, and deducts two uses.

Vivi, Maria, Palom and some others all have the same thing.

you mean hailstorm? that's not much of a loss; his USB has a 50% atk boost. that plus some other 50% boost is already pretty close to the buff soft-cap.

and you don't necessarily need R5s for Cid if you're giving him two. i've seen two R4s work against Cuchulain.

Shout, Zack Chain, Ramza BSB 2, and OK PUSB all give a 50% attack boost but only that, so they'd have the same number. I honestly can't think of a 50% boost we ever got that had another modifier with it.

4 to 3 and then 3 to 5? Or is that incorrect?

Never really paid attention to gill costs when honing orbs so I can't help you there.

With Tactics done I finished all the renewal dungeons this time! Glad to have that monkey off my back.

Also looks like the endless Tonberry event coming soon is a goldmine for magicite experience! Probably gonna farm some Midgardsormr in the 20-month mythril grind for more quick act, maybe I'll finally start inheriting as well.

Not on the entry, but what I like to do is have Shelke with Mako Might entrust Marche with Gathering Storm which cuts the ultra's cast time and then start the physical rushdown early.

So what the fuck does this thing do on entry?

From what I can gather it's not a boostaga, it doesn't give Quick cast, does it give radiant shield or last stand,is it a hastaga?

I'm trying to look up what it does, but every single topic on line about it so far is just how best to utilize its Ex mode. I just want to know makes it an Ultra before Ex mode.

Nevermind..... I found it

It gives Holy infuse.... that's LITERALLY it.

Some USB's give 4 party buffs... this gives 0, and only one even self buff, that being Holy Infuse.

I'm glad speed mode Ex is apparently amazing, because that HAS TO BE the worst entry of any USB. It's the literal exact same as a Glint. I don't remember what Yshtola's USB entry is right now, but surely it can't be worse than Holy infuse.

Glad speed mode Ex is great. Just really sad about the entry man.

Cloud's USB1 entry sucks even more but we all know how destructive the EX mode is.

The fact that you also see Marche in a lot of sub30 Ixion and Hydra runs is a testament to how he doesn't even need the holy infusion to kick ass, the speed boost is that good.

Not many USBs that do damage on entry and have an EX Mode give party buffs. That's pretty bog standard. EX-Mode + Element Infuse is generally what you'd expect off a damaging ultra. Some good ones will give you instantcast 1 or some other minor self buff but yeah.

Well this is weird seeing the second half of the event pop up only two days on a Tuesday.

Augh Proudclad is back as a multiplayer, but thank god you don't have to use breakdowns on him to get the full medals, just win with 4 characters alive. I hated wasting 20 stamina just because someone forgot Full Break. Hopefully it stays this way for future raid bosses.
