She's so terrible in Fire Emblem 7

I almost want her just because I know she's going to inexplicably be overpowered because all 5* female myrmidon are in this game and it'll be hilarious because it's friggin Karla. But I can't in good conscience draw for more 5* swords.

And Legault obv because it's Legault

Maybe I'll draw Red/Colorless on it. Then again I won't have many orbs left to draw with so what does it matter.

Does the amount of stars a character has on summoning effect their base stats, or do a 3 and 4 star summon have the same stats accounting for their +/-

Legault, Nino, Canas, and Linus are all good. Though, Legault's intro voice sounds awful. His crit quote sounds good at least. It looks like Canas has Raourowl, which is...not even really dark magic. I was kinda hoping something similar to FE7 Luna.

I have mixed feelings about this banner. I love FE7 and the Black Fang but I don't care very much about Karla, and even though I love Nino seeing an alt of her is not that exciting to me. Legault is great but he will probably be demoted. I'm much more excited about Canas and Lloyd, but they probably won't be as useful. I'm actually kind of hoping they will pull an Ayra/Rhajat and sneak Canas onto another banner.

I mean... Nino is also terrible in FE7; it's not like they've ever shown any signs of caring about how good someone is in their home game.

Still this is a pretty odd set of characters. From what I recall of CYL these aren't even close to the most popular missing FE7 characters from the game (where are Sain and Pent?). I like FE7 but I have a hard time caring about this banner myself. Ditto Linus; I get why he's here since they wanted to complete the Fangs, but I'd have preferred Sonia or Limstella. (FE7, to its credit, has a lot of good GHB candidates.)

Ok, I was just curious because I was comparing level 1's and I think I can see the +/- for them but I was how accurate it would he when comparing different star levels.

Nino is fine in FE7 if you force feed her levels, which is exactly what you can do in this game easily. Keep in mind this is never worth it unless you're doing a rank run (who does these) so I agree she's bad in FE7 but in the context of this game her being good is less silly.

Karla will never be good unless you feed her stat boost items though. Weak bases for her level, you get her super late and her growths are weak too.

And she's not just going to be good she's going to be OP, probably, if Mia and Ayra are any indication. And I hope they are. Because Karla being OP would amuse me greatly. She's probably the best character of the three too. Better than Mia at least.

I don't mind Karla as a character but she is one of the worst units in FE7 as far as viability goes without a doubt. Also she needs you to raise Bartre who isn't exactly a prime unit himself.

Been there, done that. Got up to 12% on the last one, pulling nothing but Greens, because I didn't have any of them and wanted all of them, before I got hit with my second Micaiah instead.

I'm currently at 10.5%. I've now done almost all the Chain Challenges. Have only 18 orbs left to farm from them. I do have the monthly quests but it will suck if I can't cash this out.

Percentage of 5*. You can see it by going to appearance rates. Every 5 non 5* pulls will increase your total chance of a 5* by 0.5%. It resets back to start if you get a 5*.

Hero banner it starts at 8%, normal banners it's 6% (3% of on banner and 3% of off banner). So people who are up to 10% or 10.5% have done at least 20-25 pulls without getting a 5*.

Sharena is the most boring character in the gauntlet tbh. and it's not like the other Heroes characters or Ike are any less boring. this was just "boring characters: the gauntlet."

the funny thing to me is that every winner so far was behind after the first hour, meaning the less popular choice has been winning every time. only exception being Alfonse vs Sharena, which was just super close the whole time and Alfonse made a legit comeback there with no multiplier.

Alphonse and Gunnthra are pretty much just surrogates for salty Ike and Grima supporters respectively at this point.

Boringness most to least

1. Fjorm
2. Alfonse
3. Sharena
4. Gunnthra
5. Anna (I actually like Awakening Anna but this one seems to be the worst of the Awakening version tainted with hanging around with Alfonse and Sharena)
6. Ryoma
7. Ike
8. Grima Robin

Only character I particularly like here is Grima Robin though. Pretty lame field overall I agree.

Yeah this was definitely the worst voting gauntlet in terms of character choice.

Not that it matters much with this multiplier system any more.

Multiplier has tainted every gauntlet aside from like the first. Not really an anymore type thing there.

People kept complaining that the strongest characters kept winning so we ended up with the current system. We do get cool stuff like Takumi vs Shanna at times but even in that match Takumi was stronger than Shanna and lost.

Alfonse has been the most fun part of this Gauntlet. He's stolen the last two matches in ways that would make Frog proud.

Regardless, Gauntlets are silly and not meant to be taken seriously so I'm fine with them for what they are. I like the fan art they produce.

I assume they record the actual matches played too so there probably is useful data obtained despite lead change mechanics that would shame Mario Kart-- it's not like the actual winners of these things ever get anything

I really wish Flashing Blade had a Sacred Seal variant. I want to give Lon'qu Galeforce for multiple reasons but he lacks the killing power to go to town on people without a special. Being able to slot Life and Death in the A slot would help a lot with that.

Bleh. Farmed literally every orb off the map to get to 11.5%, no dice

Rage purchased $19.99 of orbs, combo broken by Fjorm

On the plus side I did get TWO Fjorms since I decided hell at this rate I better draw the whole set, and she has some great skill inheritance fodder in Shield Pulse and Atk/Def Bond. (+Atk/-Def and +Spd/-Res-- not sure either of these are actually better than neutral despite both of them being great combos to have gotten if I'd gotten them on Grima Robin dammit) I would've preferred Robins, but not Hardins, so yeah, could be worse.

But still, pretty damn annoying. I swear the rates on these banners drop the later in they go to capitalize on frustration draws like this. I'm going to stop drawing on banners late in their lifespan from now on.

+Spd/-Res feels better than neutral to me, not being doubled will save you from more mages/dragons than higher res will, and of course it's purely advantageous against physical opponents and on the player phase.

I definitely wish I had more Atk/Def Bond. The Bonds are underrated skills I feel, they're some of the best around for enemy phase builds.

I'd take the speed boon one as well here. Saving doubles is a lot more useful.

The bond skills are really nice. I'd like to pick up Atk/Def Bond for Lukas and Spd/Def Bond for Shiro. We can't be too far away from some of them entering the 4* pool

Yeah I guess that makes sense. I don't like Fjorm enough to keep more than the one but leveling up the +Spd/-Res one is easy enough.

And yeah the bond skills are some of my favorite A slot options-- that's part of the reason I was okay with drawing New Year Takumi because I wouldn't mind some Atk/Res bonds either. I'm wondering if they'll ever drop-- I feel they shouldn't unless A-Skills as a whole get power crept or every skill eventually gets a 4*. Shield Pulse is less general useful and more "if I ever have a build that wants to use a defensive skill this is a must" and it's to this time 5* exclusive. I don't have an immediate plan for Atk/Def bond or Shield Pulse yet so all three will be sitting for at least a while but they're nice to have.

I feel like they're a tier below distant counter and steady breath, and will make their way there sooner or later. We've seen ploys and tactics skills gradually become more available since their introduction and I think these will follow suit. I don't think people pull for them the same way they do for distant counter, steady breath, or swift sparrow

I think they're better than Swift Sparrow personally if they're a stat combo you want. It's easier to maneuver units into an exploitable range to use the bond skills during the player phase than you'd think.

The breaths and counters, yeah, they're better, but I don't think that's going to be your gatekeeper to stay 5*. It's certainly possible they drop but I wouldn't count on it.
