Hey Roba, you ever considered checking out Centaur's Worries? It's kind of a supernatural slice of life with some interesting unique traits. I'm reading the manga now for some reason and was reminded of its greatness.

It looks like that's the same thing as A Centaur's Life, and in that case I've been slowly working towards it for awhile ever since you mentioned it before! It might not be right away (my backlog just from HxH, Symphogear, and A Certain Scientific Railgun is already 200 episodes and those aren't the only things I've started in addition to keeping up with the season) but I'll try to get to it soon. Thanks for reminding me of it, though!

I'm only on episode 11 so still not very far in, but I guess I can tag a minor comment even though this can barely be considered spoilers. During the big crowd shots at the start of the exam I picked out a cool looking sniper lady (applicant 80) and for awhile I made a game of trying to find her in crowd shots to see how far she made it. I think the swamp got her though because she's been gone for awhile. A lot of them were generic background dudes but it's neat how a few were given such detailed designs only to not matter at all.

Oh neat, according to MAL I passed 2500 episodes watched yesterday! Of course that milestone had to be wasted on Brave Witches of all things.

Now I'm only several thousand away from catching up to most of the people on my friends list...

Yeah, I'm through 10 episodes of S1 and I've noticed this too. It's pretty incredible how these little contained storylines with throwaway characters end up being so engaging and entertaining. To think I was worried about this being an awkward power fantasy for a hot minute.

Yeah, I'm through 10 episodes of S1 and I've noticed this too. It's pretty incredible how these little contained storylines with throwaway characters end up being so engaging and entertaining. To think I was worried about this being an awkward power fantasy for a hot minute.

Overlord is 100% a show that has exploded past the trappings of it's fad genre origins. It's a shame that a bunch of people pass on giving it a shot because of how generic it looks on paper.

Yeah, it's pretty solid about knowing when to joke around. Ainz riding the hamster, embarrassed, while all the townsfolk watched in admiration was hilarious.

Tonegawa doesn't really work without knowledge of Kaiji, and even then, it still doesn't really work because the narrator sucks.

Cells at Work and Planet With are my favorites of those. I suppose it would depend what you're in the mood for though, lots of different tones and genres there.

Phantom in the Twilight has also been surprisingly legit so far, too.

Probably for the best. The dub is fantastic, but having to switch to sub for season 3 had been odd.

Cells At Work is the best this season. Yuuna is bad. Angels of Death is probably the most forgettable thing I'm watching, though it's decent. Can't comment on the others.

It's an action comedy edutainment show. I'm shocked there's as much continuity as there is.

I actually thought the second episode of Cells veered a bit too much into being educational. I hope it cuts back on the helpful explanations about everything now that it has done the major characters. Still a fun anime but Revue Starlight is my #1 of the season at this point.

Revue Starlight
This might be the big new show of the season. Leave it to netflix to get this and have it fall into obscurity because of that. There is literally a girl named Banana. The episode has a sort of slow first part, but overall package here is really strong. I'd check this out.

Yuuna an the Haunted Hot Springs
I thought this was pretty good. The cast seems fairly likable and even though the comedy we get is expected, it executes it well. It kind of reminds me more of is this a zombie more than anything. I like that the main dude exorcises spirits by punching them.

Lord of Vermilion
So I'm not immune to extremely low MAL scores. I don't quite think it's as bad as the initial score says... but. Like I'm completely assuming the intro was like something that's going to happen near the end of the show and if that's like what we have to look forward to it's like I don't want to watch this because it was just so dumb. It's like we're going to tease you with some of the best parts this show is going to have and it's bad. Like the rest of the episode was fine, just that intro.

High Score Girl
So like in terms of how this looks and the actual characters this is pretty bad. However, I have played these games and well this is like a huge nostalgia trip here. If you don't know Zangief's piledriver (and his kit in general) are often considered to be among the hardest to use in the game. Also, it's worth noting that Dhalsim is also viewed as like a pretty crappy character so the fact she beat the game with him on a broken machine is pretty significant. So at least they are doing some homework here. I don't know. Like this is bad but has an element to make me keep watching.

Grand Blue
Wow I don't think I've ever seen so many disclaimers before a show. In any case I though this was pretty funny but maybe not like amazingly funny? In any case this is still one of the better shows that have premiered this season.

Happy Sugar Life
Uhh. This is like not as edgy as say the start of like Magical Girl Site but it's still pretty cringy overall. I'm pretty sure this is bad.

Fairy Tail doesnt pretend to have consequences for stuff though and nobody was anywhere near as bad as Sasuke.
