It'll be on the front page soon enough. There will probably be a site notification or something at some point, too. He just usually likes to let B8 have the first crack at it.

I think he's using us for beta testing. He knows we'll catch shit like that glitch or Joker missing from the suggestions.

This is just the board. Once the announcement goes in the front page, nominations will stabilize.

My only worry is that lower traffic may alter more popular characters' seedings, since that could also mean less strength for them.

Yeah, once noms go live, the Noble Nine will be fine. I remember Allen listing nomination stats for the 2010 contest, and he said Link got the most despite the fact that virtually no one on B8 nominates him.

We don't know yet. I imagine it's going to be fairly big if he's giving us 20 noms.

I could see the latter being the case, which is why I didn't want to assume.

CB9 was 243, but it was also only 81+27+9+3+1 matches, which is a lot closer to 127 than 255.

Why go for Cell when Frieza is probably the more popular villain from the series?

As for Frieza, his oldest known game is Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout if we're limiting ourselves to games that were released in the US.

and an individual game maybe gets two or three reps max

yes FF and Nintendo will have more reps than anybody but they're the most popular things here so that's how that tends to work out but CBIX had a pretty good amount of diversity in it

The auto-fill for Overwatch is kinda interesting. Mercy shows up twice for some reason and most of the girls from the game are there. Only guys who show up are HANZO and Doomfist. I wouldnt have guessed those two since Reinhardt is like the most beloved dude in the game

Diversity doesn't mean making sure Link doesn't appear in two consecutive contests, but making sure many different games are represented.
