It's when I started to realize that Hugtto was going to be something truly special. First her interactions with Emiru in episode 15, which were absolutely hilarious and led to Lulu starting to show emotions... then the amazing fight scene in episode 16 and Lulu getting absolutely destroyed and taken back by Criasu. That was a severe case of mood whiplash, going from the most hilarious and light-heartest episode in the series to arguably the darkest and most dramatic. Follow that up with the fight in episode 17 where Lulu gets befriended hard by Hana and the gang... It was fantastic, and it only gets better from there! A fun fact that I probably mentioned when I watched the episode myself months ago: Lulu is voiced by Yukari Tamura, and Yukarin also voiced Nanoha Takamachi from the Lyrical Nanoha franchise, who is world-famous for befriending her opponents by blasting the everliving shit out of them. So in a sense, Lulu/Yukarin being befriended like that in Hugtto Precure was also Nanoha herself being on the receiving end of a befriending for a change. While I respect the fact that Food Wars does have actual food based science and whatnot in their series, the show does not really focus on that aspect. Instead it focuses on ridiculous fanservice, stupid melodrama, and the actual food is secondary to these elements. It basically could have been an anime version of Iron Chef, but turns itself into a fanservice mess filled with idiotic melodrama and contrived narrative elements in service of that melodrama. I had my own moment similar to Cal's 8 years ago when every main Kamen Rider teamed up in Kamen Rider Decade. That eliminates 30 and 40 as options, and since 20 feels too low for my tastes, I use 50 per page.
