First half felt fairly even

Second half was all over the place from Pistons crapping the bed in the 3rd, then fighting back once Drummond got back into the game then execution errors at the end.

Defensive effort was much better than Saturday. Pistons also changed their strategy this game from having only Blake dribble the ball to getting everyone involved when initiating the offense. Lot of the miscommunication probably came from trying to do that for the first time than doing it the way we had been doing it

At the end of the day Pistons had a chance to win at the end of the game against a team that's pretty good so that's really all I can ask for.

Melo has his moments. There are times where he can take over a game and go off. But those moments are few, far between, and at this stage just unimpressive. His window to be a dominant player are gone, and I dont even trust him to be a reliable role player. Its time to move on from him

Apparently by advanced analytics on quality of shot Magic should be 4-2-1 and we are 2-5 due to opponents hitting difficult shots way above the rate they should be (i.e. we are playing great D and making it hard for opponents to shoot, they are just making the shots anyway)

I don't know whether to be negative or positive about that fact

it was the opposite of that in the celtics game! we seemed to be getting some quality looks but not sinking them

and in fairness, your team's shooters are known to be garbage, so naturally you'll underperform shot quality if teams are offering you those shots and you can't make them

Right but they specifically said it was due to opponents hitting above the rate they should with the shots we are giving up rather than us being garbage with our shots (which we are). Another thing was noted was that we were taken too many bad 3 shots even if they were open.

I have lost count of the amount of times where we have defended a team excellently for the entire shot clock and so they just lob a desperation 3 or highly contested jumper as it expires and they make it. It seems like they always hit it, it's so frustrating.

Thunder trying to get back to .500 after that nightmare 0-4 start.

I wonder if we could get a taker for Evan Fournier. He's one of our better shooters but has been pretty bad this year and it's already clear we aren't going to suddenly turn into a 35-40 win team.
