The problem with the trolls on this board, including the supertrolls, is that they can't admit defeat. I mean, look at XSquader, over the last couple of years. Probably still attempting to sue the police for...whatever.

Something I've wondered for a while, although I don't know if anyone in this topic can answer. How were LGBT people treated in East Germany? I would assume they were quite severely punished, probably a few years in either prison, or a Stazi holding cell, but I'm not sure one way or the other.

Wow, according to Wikipedia, LGBT sexual activity was legal from 1968 onwards. What surprises me even more, it took until 1969 in West Germany for it to be legal.

I wouldn't be surprised if, unofficially, LGBT people were discriminated against in East Germany, although perhaps not too badly.

Hey, Tar, have you come into this topic to troll me, with sentiments such as women not getting discriminated against in the modern German workforce, or Germans no longer celebrating Octoberfest?

When playing as Germany in Hearts of Iron IV, I recommend not choosing a national focus until you have 192 political power. At that point you justify war on the Netherlands and Poland. Netherlands has the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) as a puppet, so if you take over the Netherlands prior to them joining the allies, you can puppet Indonesia as your own and then you won't have any concerns about getting rubber, especially if you annex them!

Alternatively you can go after Czechoslovakia instead of the Netherlands since Czechoslovakia's independence is guaranteed by Romania, which would allow you to secure Romanian oil for your use.

Regardless, once you have completed this, you then want to complete the Anschluss of Austria which will give you a common border with Italy. Declare war on Italy. Since they are fascist, they can't join the allies. Puppet them and then lend lease and build until you annex them. Now you have their navy and are prepared to take on France/UK and it should still be before 1939.

GG.

NinjaBreakfast, only you would think every writer wants to be a bestseller.

That would be...disgusting. I want to, eventually, be a mid-level writer. You know, like most, if not all of the great writers of the last 300 years?

And also, despite what you said, I've learnt from many sources. Wikipedia, documentaries, films, non-fiction books, fiction books. What is your problem? Also, in the future, people would generally probably consider Wikipedia to be a legitimate way to either party, or fully, research an important project. Who knows, perhaps we'll destroy all the non-fiction books, and shut down all the research websites because we don't need them anymore.

I've found the problem going straight for France is that you can only justify against them, you can't go against them and Belgium, for instance, without bringing the UK into the war. So that means you have to cross the maginot, naval invade or paradrop. There are some ways to cheese paradrops (basically only paradrop recon teams with no infantry so they instantly die).

Regardless, I don't think France is worth going after early since they are mostly steel and aluminum for resources which you already have enough of as Germany. Though I guess Vietnam does have rubber.

In theory, any non-fiction work, such as non-fiction books or TV documentaries can have inaccuracies. It can be due to bad research, or people lying on certain subjects, or a bias on the part of the person making the work. It's just, allegedly, a worse problem on Wikipedia. But I'm not sure if that's true.

I'm still not sure why every so often, Wikipedia pages are locked down. Also, how long do they stay locked down for? I can understand for contentious things, or if people are likely to vandalise a page, but sometimes seemingly random pages are locked down. Isn't that against the whole point of Wikipedia?

It is a place for nerds with no life. A user who had been editing there for 9 years kept removing my edits and kept adding his own in an article. I gave up because I have better things to do. A lot of bullcrap is posted there. I stopped using that site a while ago. It should not be taken seriously. Imagine how pathetic someone's life has to be for him to take to editing wiki articles. I think for my short story collection, if it gets written, I think I would be better to make it quite a lot shorter, for various reasons, such as it's not the "done" thing, writing a really long short story collection. With the format I've got in my head, it would no longer be 500 pages, but rather about 350 pages. But there's so many years of Germany to cover, and so much to say. ;_;
