Honestly the whole deal with Garou is actually pretty cool even if kind of ridiculous. Just idolized villains a whole bunch from the beginning. And man I was happy Metal Bat hated that executive and his son so much, they were the worst. Only thing is I thought for a second the end was panning out to have Garou be like "Fuck there's another monster who's taking Class S Heroes from me?" and becomes a "hero" by killing the monster out of solely selfish villain needs, and then goes right for Metal Bat. But this way also gives Metal Bat even more spotlight so I get it.

and like there's a scene where they both throw their shields at enemies and the shields come back to the wrong person, but Naofumi's database lets him use Cap's shield and Cap suddenly gets the visual database for Naofumi's shield and he's just instinctively able to use its abilities.

I'm on episode 13 of Penguindrum right now. Still enjoying it, although the last couple of episodes haven't been consistently engaging me quite so much. Honestly, I just want more Ringo. She absolutely stole the show for a good 6-7 episodes and every scene with her is that much better for it, plus I just like her backstory way more than the others. Himari is alright as well though, so far. It's just Shouma and Kan that are letting the character side down, even though they definitely aren't bad. I'm just not as invested in them I think it's cause just about everything surrounding Kan is still vague, and cause Shouma is a little bit bland at times.

That list makes me want another season of Devil Is A Part-timer. That one was a lot of fun. Almost 1/3 of the top 10 is shows people told me were terrible (Smartphone, Restaurant to Another World & Death March)

Speaking of, last night's episode of Shield Hero was pretty disappointing to me, and right after I was singing its praises in the topic to.

Not that shows putting out subpar episodes is unheard of, and I also think there's a reasonable chance it doesn't start a trend based on how the episode ended. The timing was a bit ironic though.

So uh I'm not sure where exactly to put this but *Endgame spoilers* watching through Steins;Gate kind of helped me out when it came to Endgame and just being completely on board with how time shenanigans worked out there. Obviously not the exact same but the idea of world lines. Kind of funny how that ended up lining up, almost like I was meant to watch Steins;Gate when I did. I would say Steins;Gate spoilers too but putting that next to saying Endgame spoilers kind of ruins that a bit.

I remember thinking that it was very good by isekai standards, and actually decent to above average by normal standards. And I don't remember many (any?) people actually disliking it when it aired (But I also think only like three people here watched it including me, so...)

Yeah kind of just came out with a whimper and zero fanfare....just like the rest....

The OP song is great (yes that's F&L), the the OP itself is definitely completely unappealing to me, taking what should be a cool 10 to 15 second bit to a full minute 30.

I feel like this season was a good bit slower than season 1, but that was inevitable if they wanted to end it where they did. Still good stuff, but...definitely not AS good. It's a series where having read the manga lessens the hype of the anime for sure, truly a "direct conversion" show.
