You've picked up on it. But everyone flips out on us all the time. Probably because we used a silly phrase, ROOMMATE POWERS. We only ever used that phrase when we were certain. And it had an unbelievable success rate, especially to people on the board. When we played on AIM, people took it for granted mostly. But people on the board are usually very skeptical about it.

In truth I think we have such a high success rate because we both try to emulate our town behavior as scum, but neither of us are great liars. I don't know that any odd pair of people who know each other this well would immediately read each other as well when playing mafia.

Two red flags:

1. His use of the Ben List felt a little sardonic in how over the top it was. I know as town Ben loves that list with all his heart, but as scum he kind of goes a bit silly with it like he did here.

2. In post 156 he says he was lynched for lower than expected activity but was town every time. I think charm and content is different from the activity level that was being expressed as concerning there.

I like Lea because I wasn't liking Ben to that point either.

Luis I have a lean town on because I feel like he is going to his wheelhouse that has served him well as a flavor meta maniac, not that I think that's particularly wise (role meta in terms of hosts is always a much stronger attempt to gain an advantage but he likes his fun)

Tom asked me a question. Neat. Lean scum on Corrik, lean town on Ulti. Corrik has been a bit too zany in the early game for my liking and Ulti seems relaxed in a "I am not being sneaky" sort of way.

In case it wasn't clear from how last game went. I'll admit I couldn't tell for sure that Tom was scum. But I knew it was a big possibility. I tend to die a lot night 1 when he's scum. So day 1 I needed to get on the record about Red and Tom. Red was the only person in the game who would pick up on what me suspecting Tom meant. Red's reactions made me think he was scum too.

So, in the middle of D1 I voiced my suspicions that both Tom and Red were scum. Like I said I needed that on the record in case I died N1. Then my second goal was to avoid being shot. Since I was elite BG I really wanted to die using my power not die because I was targeted. So, I started a long con on Tom. I told him exactly what we needed to do to convince me he was town. After, I repeatedly said I leaned town on Tom but told everyone else to make their own reads on him. This was enough that Tom wanted to keep me alive so the rest of scum could lynch me if Tom ever flipped. So, goal 2 was accomplished, live through N1.

Then Tom hinted some form of protection D2. This let me have a third goal. Convince scum that I was a vanilla townie by buying Tom's protection claim. Again, I don't want them to hit me with a RB or a kill shot. So, I push your lynch over his. It helped that I honestly thought IGCD was a more believable scanner than Death. But what I did was enough to get scum to leave me alone and I used my role fully.

I was planning on voting Tom D3, but Death's scan allowed that to happen sooner. Also it allowed me to get lucky with my save too.

So, I don't think last game was a fail at roommate powers at all.

Oh we're announcing things now? Ok, I may or may not go to bed soon. But I will definitely miss deadline because I get to go to an Astros game in NYC! In fact since I have to drive down to the city, I'll be gone a huge chunk of Thursday. On the plus side, when I drive back on Friday and then sleep the rest of the day I won't be missing anything.

Is it telling a player to skip posts on principle? Would it be more or less scummy if I had said that to say, Camarija? How about if say... Sir Chris said it to SultanOfSlam?

What exactly do you guys mean by SK hunting? Like that phrase to me says, hey I want to find the SK. I'm not saying there is an SK. I'm saying let's not forget one COULD exist. By the time D2 rolls around and we've all gone back to the idea it doesn't exist, we won't remember to bring it up again. So, if I repeatedly say it now. People will remember it if weird things happen later. If weird things don't happen, then it gets forgotten and we move on.

I use a similar tactic when I teach. In calculus we have a lot of derivative rules. But one that gets forgotten often is the quotient rule. It's super easy to make a negative sign error. So, I have a stupid silly mnemonic that I make them repeat after me for every problem we do for like two weeks straight. My students get really tired of it, but you know what, they almost never make that mistake on my tests. That's what I'm doing here. I'm saying it a lot and I'm saying it in funny ways like Tom being SK pocketing Chris so that people will remember a third party is possible.

For one, we haven't actually had an SK on b8 in years,. Two, town hunts mafia, sk hunts mafia, mafia hunts town and sk.

If you are in topic hunting an SK, well, which of those categories do you suddenly fit?

Basically, the idea that someone could even have some sort of SK tell or hint, especially on day fucking 1z is crazy. You literally just play as if town.
