I'm hoping you're town Lopen. Let me see if I can talk you out of killing Tom.

Tom doesn't like fake claims. It's something that most often happens from scum. In fact it's probably ingrained in him if you catch someone lying they're 90% confirmed scum unless it's Sonic mafia and your roommate claims Manic. But in that case I had some super convoluted reasoning behind what I was doing, and I immediately dumped it all out when it was clear I was caught (I also made up a role and how it worked without realizing there was a real role with the same name). So, town when they get caught blurt out why they lied.

Tom sees a claim that can't be real. He immediately gets a scumdar ping in his brain. Then he continues to watch Lea and she seems to not do anything of consequence. Throw in that Lea suspects him and his brain is even more likely to register her as scum.

You might want to read the bolded parts of the opening post. My options are play strictly by the rules or I don't get to play here. We're at that point.

Umm, I'm pretty sure it's not against the rules to lie about going to sleep. So maybe you can't lie about asking for a replacement, you can lie about going to sleep or lie about being busy at work or something. And given that you're known to lie about stuff, why should we believe that you wouldn't lie about those things?

If you're aware you have this scumradar ping Tom why not try to turn it off? Look at the game with some fresh perspective. Assume Lea and Pez are town and move from there.

Can I ask for some reasons for this list? No complaints about people knowing I'm town obviously, but that's a pretty long list! ;p

It was longer day 1 before all those townies died. The only person I've removed since day 1 is Tom.

Reasons for putting him on were strong town read from Chris and town read from Pez. Chris retracted the town read on day 2 and I'm starting to think Pez is mafia. That broke any reason to have Tom as town.

Lea is playing very openly and honestly I feel. Her day 1 was crazy. Voted everyone, but never for a bad reason IMO.

Cam clear town from the start. Same with 5tar? I dunno, they just had the posts that make you go "Oh look, town".

HB confirmed himself town twice. Forget the first time but second time was claiming town vanilla. He's a careful scum claim planner.

Lopen and Lolo Chris likes. I've been liking Lopen recently

Corrik I came around on day 2. He;s town

yes I think it is logical that she is scum because why would town (who is not corrik or chris or spiral or pez/blade on a particulary feisty day) do that

like pez and ulti is mostly gut (although Ulti I know I have seen specific things that I thought were scummy I just can't remember them) but Lea is fluffy and fakeclaimed and Sbell has a completely different attitude than his town self

if you are expecting "lea defended benjamin from hb but not from mzero when puns claimed which cam should know is fake" complexity reads from me you're gonna have a bad time

I am a player who can build a waterball team but not a player who can politics his way past the midcard while juggling three other win conditions

Think of all the roles she could be where it would be beneficial to remain hidden behind a bizarre claim rather than reveal it truthfully.

It may in fact outnumber the number of scum players in the game.

So do you think a scum would be more likely to play it risky or a town?

Like either way that fakeclaim is going to sound like nonsense. Does a scum gain some sort of confidence that they will be believed from it being on the safelist? Consider also that the scum player has to answer to his team if he's instantly vaporized-- there's less community among town I think.

Remember we're going entirely on LOGIC here as you have conceded to play this one on my rules.

I just fakeclaimed Jerry Lawler outside the safelist as scum and I don't think I have ever straight out fakeclaimed as town, you tell me. Pegged scum has very little to lose on a hail mary.

I'm curious about SBell. But I think I'm curious for different reasons than Tom.

SBell is acting noticeably different from last game. But also openly acknowledging that fact. That tells me he's likely doing one of three things.

He's scum trying to hide in plain sight.

He's town power trying to look scummy enough to be left alone at night.

He's town villager trying to trick scum into targeting him at night.

I could see it as any of those three options. I don't know him well enough to try to pick. I want to know what you guys think his alignment is given this breakdown, or if you just think I'm plain wrong. I will not vote him in order to force a claim though.

Since you guys brought up MZero, him I would put more pressure on happily. I'm just less convinced it will be productive. He hasn't done enough in the game for us to give each other meaningful reads on him. I suppose we could all vote him right now to try to make him appear. But I think I need content from him directly to read him.

We've established that even the Reddest of players will claim if they get enough votes, I maintain we should keep doing that. Red basically claimed scum when he claimed Watcher (to the good players) so let's do that again

I thought he was too once she claimed but consider before the claim. Do you think she should've felt a reason to feel "pegged?" Do you think she was his lean before that?
