Nice. I've got three sunstones, but they're being saved for the Agni I can't draw. It's super tempting to throw them on my Kaguya lol. I like how they just said "fuck it" and made Kaguya replace the rabbits, Nobiyo, and Cait Sith all at once.

i read world trigger.

the main characters only purpose is to die and lose all the time because he is garbage.

the story abandoned its neat plot to go into a boring battle royale arc that completely sidelines interesting dialogue and character interaction for "omg he did that neat trick no way how" cliche shit.

Finished up Senran Kagura anime. There's another season/show, but I don't think I'm gonna watch it.

Wise decision. Uncensored or not, it just isn't that great, and it lacks all of the character development from the games.

Good to hear about Season 3 of Danmachi, too. Should be going into its equivalent of the Alicization arc next (i.e. the Xenos arc, spelling may vary).

It's unfortunately a bit one of a kind. Usually comedy shows don't have the budget to go so crazy with their gags and nichijou just has a unique sense for comedy. I can't personally think of any shows that are too similar.

Maybe nichibros (every day life of high school boys). Even it's really not that similar though (still great after you get a few eps in and not the typical anime comedy style).

Maybe someone else has a better rec.

Knocked Dorei ku off of my list. Wasn't bad, but could've been better. Think I'll go for Kyou are Ore wa next. Remember liking it. Bofuri will be what I watch next though. Was the latest season of Nanatsu no Taizai terrible or what? Going to watch it anyway, but just curious.

Watched a couple of movies that had been on my list for some time. The WInd Rises, and Whispers of the Heart. Wind Rises was the better movie imo. Was not expecting Country Roads to be the theme song for an anime movie, but Whispers of the Heart did it lol.

this season as in the one that just finished up? yeah just those two, and infinite dendrogram is an ass adaptation. I watched up to episode 5, and people who read the LN agree with me that it's pretty bad paced

next season has a few though. the bookworm isekai and sao start back up, and there's the otome isekai where the mc realizes she's the villain in a VN she was playing whose fate in every route is death. also priconne probably counts; they're in a vrmmo but almost everyone's memories have been wiped so they think they're in the real world

Guess I'll leave Dendogram until I really need something to watch. Waiting for a Ishuzoku Reviewers batch to drop. Started on Fuuka. 4 eps in so far and I like the characters. Really hope it doesn't go to shit, but it's not rated very well, so it probably will.

Yup.

Now it's so huge that it's gotten its own subversions/branch of the theme (much like how it was originally a subversion/branch of the broader "isekai" theme)

Like "I got reincarnated into an otome game but I'm a GUY!" or "I'm a 50 year old salaryman and I got reincarnated as an otome game's villainess!"

Finished watching Nichijou today.

Rankings of the KyoAni Anime I've seen.

1. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (Possibly the best Anime I have ever seen)
2. Nichijou
3. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Season 1 only)
4. K-ON! (Only seen like the first half dozen of these, literally made me quit Anime when it was airing).

Scaled back my mobile game commitments to leave me with only Fire Emblem Heroes and Memoria Freese. I love Langrisser Mobile, but I reached a point where progression in the game is almost impossible because of how steep the grinding curve is, so I called it a day, and having Langrisser I & II on my Switch helps keep that fix going, anyway.

Every ending with a girl is alternate timeline. The Anime doesn't reflect it well because nature of the medium. Of course there has to be a canon ending. Most people would like a feelgood ending even if it could be written better with something else.

There are fanfictions where Tomoya works through his grief, and reconnects with some of the other girls.

Did my 6th spark today, with fairly shit results. 12 SSRs total, so 4% rates. 4/6 of my sparks have been below average at this point, with one average and one with 19 SSRs, so one over. Today's was my worst spark though. 0 grands, 0 zodiacs, and 1 summer unit. Sparked Vajra. Also finally landed my first non Zeus optimus summon, but I don't have the spare sunstones for my new Varuna. Second half of my spark, was only 4 SSRs. Really wish sunstones weren't so goddamn rare.

On the bright side at least, since the spark only cost me 150 saved draws, I still have 231 left, so I can try to spark for Mahira not too far into the future.

i feel like you're overstating just how many people have such a problem with it that they would consider the ending shit, because clannad is pretty well loved in general

betraying the source material and making the ending a dead end one while also shitting on all the themes they were trying to convey would be the real arbitrary move
