Shinji and a couple of the 'name' people (like Sailor Bee) are still there, but pretty much everybody else got fired and outsourced, most notably their tech support, which is now in Moldova (and is the reason why the Crunchyroll player is hot garbage and almost never gets a real update).

Watched Infinite Dendrogram. Liked it, but didn't love it. Mc is basically set up to ass pull at will lol. Got a couple of choices for my next show, not sure which I'll pick.

dendrogram was a bad light novel adaptation that rushed the story too much when the charm of it was the worldbuilding

...or so I've heard from people who really liked the light novel. all i know it was paced terribly and i dropped it 5 episodes in, and i love isekai/vrmmo shit. might actually read the light novel at some point though

Got pretty burnt out and fed up with all the stupid glitches in Dragon Age Inquisition so I stopped playing just before the final DLC. I'll probably just youtube the ending or something.

You know what I need? An actual GOOD rpg to play this time.

It's been a few years since I played it, so I think it's time to revisit Lost Odyssey.

Got it downloaded and installing right now.

And luckily for me, I remembered I made a japanese Xbox Live account to get all the DLCs for free in my old 360, and I managed to carry it over to my Xbox One.

Pretty excited to get back into it, especially since I'm at the optimal state of remembering enough of the game to prevent missing anything, but having forgotten some major plot points so I can relive the story again.

Beat FF7R. Most likely the fastest buy-to-beat turnaround time for a JRPG I have had in a very long time. Still deciding what to play next.

Still have not checked to see what anime are airing this season, given pandemic-related delays and all that.

Side Note: I found this video since 8bitdrummer played this on his stream and I gotta say that it's kinda wonderful how the japanese community is kinda helping him jump on the hololive bandwagon, and also sharing him to other japanese fans.

Usually, it's japanese vids that get translated to english for western fans, now its his western videos getting translated to japanese for japanese fans.

I just thought it was pretty wholesome and nice.

Yeah. Once a game is cracked they should remove it right away. Honestly don't even know why companies still do business with them when their games have been cracked within a week before.

Finished my rewatch of Imouto sae Ireba Ii. It really is an amazing anime if you can get past the writer trolling you for the first 5 or so minutes of the anime.

its not really that, its that denuvo is more like a license that can expire, and square tends to not pay to keep it on their games, so it gets removed after a few years

i get that they wanna get what they pay for regarding licensing anti piracy stuff, but if it does get cracked and the game isn't receiving constant updates, they absolutely should just remove it. wholly different matter if the game has big patches but wtf else has ff12 gotten over the years besides this

They removed it from Life is Strange: Before the Storm so it isn't always because of license running out. Also wouldn't they have to remove the DRM themselves anyway even if that were the case?

villain-PoV stuff in general interests me and overlord is just a perfect combination

ones i like more are yasei no last boss araweta (also villain pov, but explicitly living a story's narrative with an interesting meta layer on top), her majesty's swarm (the zerg isekai light novel), spider isekai (100% systems/rules exploration and exploitation, which is usually the best part of isekais), and 80000 gold coins (because it's kind of shameless and hilarious because of it. reminds me of gate but less propaganda)

Been rewatching kingdom so I can start S3. It's a shame the animation is so bad because damn the story is so interesting and the directing and stuff of the show is really good. I skipped the first arc since I've seen it before and it's meh.

The story is great, the adaptation is overall pretty good but the animation is bad. Season 1 is a mix of bad cg and lazy animation. Season 2 is just lazy animation. I'd still recommend watching it though without hesitation.

Do be aware the first 15 episodes are like a prequel almost. The real show starts at episode 16 and is mostly wars. You still need to watch the first 15, and they are still decent, but just know that the rest of show is pretty different and much better. It's like the hobbit compared to lord of the rings.

Kingdom is one of those shows that keeps you hooked while looking like shit. Don't remember much of it off the top of my head, but I do remember liking it quite a bit. Will do a full rewatch when s3 ends.

Overlord has a very broad premise and a large fantasy setting so it makes sense for it to run long.

How could drugs and alcohol produce something so banal and boring? The only episode where it felt like somebody must have been high was the Gastly one. Unlike the manga, everything else is pretty formulaic and dull. The movies are a bit different, with Pokemon 2000 being pretty fucking stupid so I can imagine somebody taking something... actually, all three films were kinda wonky.

The proposed ending was terrible and felt like a rehash of MSB. Granted, it's interesting to hear that the guy didn't expect the franchise to last and now it's been around for over 20 years. There are kids who grew up with the show who are probably now showing it to their own children.

Nothing else stood out to me either and, honestly, I generally don't buy games via Steam. The only other title I bought this year was UMvC3 last week because it was on sale for $7.50.

I have been running and using inline skates to try to get in shape and its done hurt to my knees, so I am trying a lot more stretching. I suggest a $15-20 knee brace, like one with velcro thats adjustable, I have 2 of those and makes my knees feel so much better as long as Im not trying to put them at 90 degree angles.
