Final Fantasy VII Remake Chapter 3 complete!

Doing odd jobs around the slums feels like filler, but it does help me learn my way around and get used to the battle system a bit more. Tifa is really fun to play as, too.

Speaking of, I'm really liking the Cloud/Tifa dynamic they've built up already. I wonder if what kind of fancy outfit she should wear has any sort of impact, or if there's an affection point system like in the original game. I like that they've given her some more nuance by showing her conflicted feelings about how extreme Avalanche's actions are, but even when she gets outvoted, she stays anyway.

Now it looks like we're going on a nighttime mission with Jessie, so that should be fun!

So because quarantines and nothing on and migraines knocking my sleep schedule way off... I am watching eSports on ESPN2 for the first time with any real attention.

It's League of Legends and I have no idea what's going on lol. It makes me feel like in some ways this is the biggest barrier for eSports to have to overcome. With most sports, even if you don't understand all the rules it's usually simple enough that you can pick up what's going on pretty easily. Here I'm like "these are a bunch of terms and lingo you're throwing out and outside some super obvious ones i don't really know what you're talking aboutttttt and even the few things I've since put together I can't link it to anything else to know why/how it's significant."

Is it? I mean, it's still leading, but a few hours ago when I last looked in on it it had just fallen under 51%. Now it's under 50.5%. %'s yeah, but that almost has to come with a smaller lead as well.

Is the expectation that P4G just has to survive Europe and can then right the ship?

Yeah, Persona 4 has been shedding votes for a few hours now, it's down about 50% from its max, but RDR also isn't cutting consistently. I suspect Persona will probably hold on, but it'll be close if trends don't shift back in its favor a bit.

Also Europe was helping Persona, it's actually losing in the US.

Yeah, I checked the geolocation after that post lol. All I remember from it in the early going was that RDR was winning the UK which I know is the biggest slice of the Europe vote. I think P4 was winning the US at the time but am not positive. Obviously that isn't the case now at any rate.

I dunno if I'd feel great about it with what Xenoblade is doing today! I feel like Three Houses, P4G, and GTAV are basically a wash at this point.

I'm not sure these results even suggest Xenoblade wins next round. I have absolutely zero faith in Overwatch.

More concretely, these results suggest FE3H > Xenoblade if Ori can get 64% on Overwatch which to me is absolutely within the realm of possibility.

Certainly I'd evaluate Xenoblade's chances as better than I would have before today, but that's all I'm willing to say.

Don't know why anyone ever picked that! Galaxy 2 is my favorite game in the bracket but it literally lost to ME1.

Goku vs. Piccolo is pretty good so far! I kinda like that Piccolo is powerful but at the same time he's clearly afraid every time Goku hurts him or uses a move he hasn't seen before because he doesn't want to get sealed away again.

4/4 again if this holds. Unfortunately I think my leaderboard quest has once more ended in failure because I'm even further back than Leon (though only by a point? but still) unless KH3 pulls a miracle (and Sonic Mania wins) at which point that would be my one chance before Xenoblade 2 comes back to put an end to it for sure.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Chapter 4 complete!

The bike chase was a fun little bit of nostalgia, even if trying to hit guys on bikes with swords is as clunky here as it was in the original!

Roche so far is basically what would happen if you created a character where "loose cannon" is literally his only character trait...and I'm not sure it's a bad thing!

I liked the backstory for Jessie, and I liked Cloud showing genuine interest in learning more about it.

Fighting all the waves to buy time for Jessie was pretty fun.

I like Wedge warning Cloud that Jessie's just a player.

Whoa, I thought for sure that ghost stuff would just turn out to be a dream. Guess not!
