Just flexing my NP2 and NP1 Abbys. Priority this New Year is on... getting Benienma. But after that, NP2 Hokusai and NP2'ing the other Abby would be nice.

Getting ahead of myself though. Apocrypha event is tomorrow. Nothing for me to really roll for though. Only things to look out for in the coming months are that one limited 3* Guda servant and... summer. Again.

I'm probably just gonna skip the Apocrypha event. I hated Apocrypha and I hate Sieg. Plus I'm so busy with the end of semester. I'll probably just wait until the event rerun. I'm mostly in FGO now for Lostbelt chapters rather than events. I already have all the servants I want.

I'm sure I've seen some instances online where people have multiple specializations for their units when talking about them. Either way though, specialization takes a ton of mats so you'd realistically only be maxing one skill, only a scant few units with some odd off-application would require specializing non-main skills (ie Saria's S1 is occasionally preferred in some scant circumstances) Pretty sure the training room descriptor simply refers to the fact that you can only level up one skill at a time.

Neat, truth be told I mostly wanted it for the pinboard mission at this point since it's the only thing stopping me from accessing the next tier. Though the costs are kind of ridiculous, yeah. At least the 2nd tier of the green cert shop helps.

Arknights is actually in a dry period right now. The current event is basically just do your dailies. Well see what part 1 of this event was supposed to be like.

the previous event wasn't terribly interesting either, it was just a few extra stages. Though tbf I didn't even play most of them, was focused on other stuff at the time.

Currently playing Dragalia Lost, eagerly awaiting Fire Emblem part 2 next week. Only gacha I'm waiting on is Genshin Impact.

Siege dupe was my guaranteed roll in the current standard banner.

Then my second Top Op tag appeared, along with Medic/Support/Healing. I decided to risk a Nightingale dupe to go for Saria/Shining, rather than chance the general pool and risk SilverAsh/Hoshiguma dupe or getting yet another Siege/Ifrit.

I got Saria.

E1 isn't bad, but once you have a good number of units E2'd it's going to take a ton of effort to get any new characters up to speed, yeah.

Magellan looks neat, I don't have any summoners except Deepcolor so I've never really played with them.

Anyone here play Princess Connect Re:Dive? It's another big Cygames gacha game like Granblue Fantasy that's not out in English. I don't have any interest in playing the game, but it's getting an anime adaptation this season and I just started watching it. Three episodes in and it's really good.

I did and had a lot of fun with it, I just couldn't keep up with both it and DL so I dropped it. I love the anime so far.

I don't know anything about the game, but the anime is hilarious. The comedy and "bubbly" animation style reminds me of Konosuba, but it has Cygames' budget of endless gacha bucks rather than DEEN's budget of a rubber band and two pieces of chewing gum.

Also apparently some maps in the future will have initial operator limits so using summoners is a way to bypass that handicap.

Aside from that Magallan's most widely-applicable skill is also S3 so if you really want to use her you'll have to E2 her- Which, while I did, wouldn't consider a priority E2. I still kinda find her fun to use, and she's certainly made some maps more consistent. But most importantly she's cute.

The maximum range of the S2 drone is its own panel and the damage is absolutely piddly outside skill activation. A small army of AoE snipers is a much better deal for most situations, and the base damage is enough to handle average armour outside skill activation. That, plus S3's +150% damage boost when you activate her skill provides hugely increased DPS that can do work against heavy armour. Another important note is that the drones can now overlap AoE damage so the accumulative damage becomes actually quite impressive.

Girls' Frontline is quickly approaching its anniversary month, which means a log-in event that lets you pick a free 5* from the normal construction pools.

Most players use this to get free shotguns like SAT8, since shotguns take ridiculous resources and RNG to get, but any type of gun is available. Sadly, they can only be used on five-star versions, not 3* or 4*s, which can also be hard to get.

GF is also doing some type of event with DJMAX Respect tomorrow, but I dunno what it is and whether or not anyone cares about it over here in 'Murica. Events don't seem to get rerun very often, if ever, though, so for those on the fence, now's a good time to jump in.

Symphogear XDU's EN version is moving onto its next major story event in a couple of days, and with it comes the addition of a brand new Symphogear wielder to the game: Maria's younger sister Serena, who unfortunately died several years before the anime's story began so we never actually saw her in action in the anime. But thanks to the alternate universe fuckery of the Gjallarhorn relic, we finally get to see more of her in XDU!

Also, I've heard that the 5-star X-Drive Serena that's going to be in the big event banner is broken as fuck in PvP play. I don't care about PvP, so I wasn't planning on pulling for her anyways outside of maybe getting one guaranteed copy if the gacha steps are set up to include them.

Kinda eh about Arknights beach event. None of the chars I actually use I think

Meanwhile Vanguard Zero's season is about to end. Sadly I didn't go for top 1000 this time around because people are climbing that shit like a maniac. It was getting too time-consuming considering I was using one of the worse decks.

However, in 2 days, they're gonna start doing a controversially massive catch-up to the JP version. Currently JP has 4 sets, about to release its 5th set. Meanwhile, global had set 1, now they're getting set 2 and 3 all at once. Set 3 is well-known for not impacting the meta whatsoever, so it might've just been a decision to not have a lame 2 months of stale meta.

Set 3 has Bermuda Triangle (mermaid idols), Dimensional Police (giant combining mechs), Dark Irregulars (vampires, succubus, demons, etc), and Pale Moon (beautiful men and women and beasts doing circus).
