Oh, right. This weird thing again.

AEW does a COVID check for everyone who works tapings at every level. He's not going to get sick from his time there. Literally not a single person who has COVID has worked at that taping. They even had QT Marshall and anyone who has even interacted with him around the time of finding out he was around someone who had COVID stay home. They didn't risk it at all. They even had Moxley, who continually tested negative for COVID, still not come to the taping out of an abundance of caution. Cardona is not going to get sick from COVID at a Dynamite taping.

It might sound wild, but Cardona is a guy who loves professional wrestling and probably just wants to do it again and have fun with something he loves. The main guarantee he got was more than likely "here are some ideas we have for you" which seems like more than enough. I don't know why you think they need to be anything more than just ideas rather than title or main event assurances.

Also, EVEN BIGGER NEWS, is that Jack Evans (and I guess Angelico too) is back and on AEW Dark this week! AEW Dark actually has some really promising matches this week.

Initiative vs. Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela should be really fun.
Jack Evans vs. QT Marshall has Jack Evans so it'll be fun.
Butcher & Blade vs. Private Party will be great.
And then Abadon will be fighting a jobber with her creepy bullshit.

I'm saying that based on a short term deal like that, I don't think Matt was desperate to get back to wrestling. Unlike say the Good Brothers who immediately signed two year deals.

Oh I never questioned it, Bret's Summerslam resume is excellent.

For others, my input...

Mr. Survivor Series: Undertaker. Though you could make a very strong argument for Orton as well.

Mr. Royal Rumble: Either Cena or Austin. Austin has 3 Rumble wins and finished in the final 3 in two others. Cena has 2 wins, and 3 other appearances in the final three, plus solid matches with Styles, Umaga, Lesnar, and Rollins.

Roman's Rumble finishes are definitely impressive, but he also needs a few solid non Rumble matches.

Reigns' only non Rumble matches are against Owens and Corbin, and both weren't good.
