Yeah, when called out for how stupid of a take it was, he defended himself by saying "Well I didn't know for sure, so I had to report it like that!" Instead of... you know, just omitting mentioning he is unsure if it's a work or not.

But this is typical Ryan Satin WWE shilling, which I find less offensive than telling a black man to read up on black history. But I could also see Ryan Satin saying the same thing since he's super proud of having worked with Sheriff Joe.

From what I've been hearing, WWE has gotten so much worse under Bruce Prichard having full control of creative. It seems like they've been having great matches with terrible finishes and booking decisions.

Apparently he also called out Nick Aldis for no reason and told him that he isn't anything special? Because Aldis had a huge clap back on him. Aldis has always been phenomenal, so I don't know why Prichard would trash him.

There's no reason they couldn't have other women building up for either title by now. I don't know why the singles and tag titles are being tied up with Sasha and Bayley. Like fuck. Even if she sucks, even Lacey Evans would be more useful to have with the belts at this point.

It's fresh at least. The Two Man Power Trip was 19 years ago and didn't even last 2 months; this is practically the female version of it.

The bigger question is what is the endgame? A lot of us thought we'd get Sasha vs Bayley at Summerslam. Perhaps Wrestlemania instead?

I'll admit that when they turned what I thought to be a career-face like Sami Zayn and Bayley, I was skeptical. Turn out both of them are fantastic heels.

I think Zayn is great as a heel but not great enough to make up for the opportunity cost compared to him as a babyface, but that's a point I've harped on enough. I think I probably feel similarly about Bayley but I didn't think Bayley as a babyface was like, a generational talent the way I think of Sami

Let's be real. Asuka will probably be fodder and lose to Sasha and Bayley in some unsatisfying way. It's just how this company rolls.

The frustrating thing about their handling of Sami and Bayley as the can't miss babyfaces they missed with is that there are no awesome babyfaces that could have hooked people in like them. All their babyfaces suck and are idiots. Even Daniel Bryan's return was such a flop and can't miss that they ended up turning him heel. As a face, he hasn't gotten back to that level.

This is all Vince though who, I remember, just couldn't understand why people would like Sami and Bayley because he, himself, thinks they're too naive and stupid and that people couldn't rally behind them. He's got such a twisted sense of morality he didn't understand why people would want to see good people be good and win. He only understands a Stone Cold face.

Like it's great that they have these successful heel careers, but they had something truly special as faces, and now they have no actually awesome faces, which hurts the product because who actually cares about feuds if all the babyfaces are dipshit losers who get cheered despite their booking?

WWE has this tendency of "breaking people down." Either to a one dimensional "product," or never making them as big a threat as they should be. I forget when it started, but WWE as "the brand." has been the selling point for them. They don't want anyone to get over just to leave. But by extension, no one they have feels special either. If they DO go with a guy, say AJ, it is only after six months to a year after he already proved he was the most popular fuck WALKING IN THE FUCKING COMPANY. Drew took two years to get his moment after putzing around a lot of false starts.

John Cena left ANYWAY. Becky Lynch went to have a kid, and Roman stayed home. Good job with that.

this is extremely accurate. you can get away with a heel Bayley if you have Becky Lynch on the other side. You can spare Sami fucking around as a heel if you have, uh, the last babyface who was over on the other side. But you don't, the biggest weakness of the shows these days is there is nobody you could imagine rallying behind. so it's such a waste to be like, ah, these generational babyfaces are actually pretty entertaining as heels, lets have them do that!

Like, we all laugh at Rollins nowadays, and it's more than deserved, but I will always maintain that if they'd just done the obvious thing on the initial Shield split and given us a long Face Rollins vs Heel Ambrose feud, they could've had some real success with it for a while.

Like honestly. I just went back and thought about Daniel Bryan's return. All of that build up to him coming back at Wrestlemania and it was mostly about Shane McMahon getting his ass beat forever until Daniel Bryan comes in. And then they throw him into a feud with Big Cass that was so bad and he was released. And after that he was teaming with Kane again against the freaking Bludgeon Brothers. And then there was a lukewarm Miz thing that was done way too late. And then he just turns heel because he's so frustrated at the booking he had as a face and he just wasn't having fun.

How? How do you mess up a Daniel Bryan return from retirement like that? WWE found a way in record time to kill all the buzz and make him just another guy. That was when I realized WWE can and will screw literally everything up.

I mean, I feel like WWE has always had difficulty writing babyfaces.

Like all their good babyface runs needed a heel run to really kick them off and develop character and personality. Their pure faces just feel... bland. Even ones that were able to develop in NXT (Black, Bayley, Zayn, Nakamura etc) felt bland as soon as they went to the main roster. Because they all feel like playing the same character.
