Problem is that giving Wyatt such a big win over Cena only to have him immediately lose to Bryan would just create the same problem as before.

Kane was the perfect filler feud for him until the proper challenger. He's incredibly safe and easy to work with.

And the plan all along was for him to get ragdolled by Brock so it's not like it really mattered.

Kane was an alright choice, but if I remember right the real problem was that the feud was absolutely awful.

Because for whatever reason they decided in involve Brie.

All roads led to Brock, which we mostly knew once he became the 1 in 21-1.

The less said about Wyatt/Cena, the better. Not a TERRIBLE feud, but they had a cage match that ended because Cena couldn't walk past a singing kid.

Bryan getting ragdolled by Brock at Summerslam and then building back to challenge again at next year's Mania would have been the best story possible though!

Best story possible involving Brock is still not a very good story.

Still better than my favorite one where Seth Rollins feuded with the ghost of Triple H for months and somehow still kept losing.

It's wild to me how badly they screwed up Seth so constantly. And Seth is so angry about it that he hates the fans because of it.

The only issue I had was with the camera work, but like a match where there was, what, only one throw the entire first 18 minutes match (Thatcher suplexing WALTER on the outside) and then suddenly two German Suplexes on each other and I'm losing my fucking mind.

Thatcher wrestles like a dude who is trying to win a professional wrestling match via the rules put in place (i.e. submission or keeping his opponent's shoulders pinned to the mat for 3 seconds). And the dude defends! Not "fight out of a move/hold" or reversal, something as simple as WALTER knocking him down, he doesn't lay there writhing in agony like a moron. He literally spins himself into position to attempt to kick back at WALTER in order to defend himself. Hell, in his recent match with Lorcan when Oney's laying in the chops, he doesn't sit there and take it like an asshole or trade chops with him. He literally puts his arms up to guard his chest and dumbass Lorcan chops his forearms, hurting himself.

If professional wrestling was a legitimate sport, Thatcher wrestles like a guy who could actually win at it.

There's an absolute amazing sequence in the match.

Thatcher has WALTER in an armbar. WALTER wisely rolls onto his shoulder, then eventually gets Thatcher into position for the typical "Powerbomb my opponent because he stupidly won't let go of the submission hold." So what does Thatcher do before he gets lifted up for the powerbomb? Let's go of WALTER's arm. How does WALTER respond? By stomping the ever-loving shit out of Thatcher's face.

It's just so good.
