There's just so much power being put on the board every turn it's hard to deal with.

Jeff/Polaris/Miles has been really strong in my deck recently. Black Bolt/Stature seems strong but requires specific draws. So I would try doing a similar kind of rock deck to disrupt their draws. Maybe go the Zabu Wong route to beat them on total power as well as boost Rockslide for your own Darkhawk.

You can also bait the Enchantress with Wong, or protect it by playing it on their own Zabu or Darkhawk.

as long as more people dont start adopting the galactus deck that uses nimrod/destroyer in case plan A (galactus) doesnt work out

Eh youd probably be surprised how many times I expected Galactus due to Wolverine, Goblin & Wave being played with 1 lane empty only for Galactus to never appear the whole match

Theres also the version that looks like a Galactus deck, plays Wave, and then when you play something to try and disrupt their Galactus lane they just lock down a different one with Prof X

Speaking of, holy shit this game. I drew Jeff turn 6.

The Destroyer is his from White Queen which would've tied but he played Knull... doesn't it show his power in the UI? No one ever said Galactus players could count.

He probably just assumed you wouldn't have Jeff and threw down anything that would win the lane

Only thing Galactus players count are how many cubes they own

If I see someone playing Ebony Maw, Storm, or Prof X I instantly assume they have Jeff and add another 3 points in my head to what I need to win that lane

For Prof X that makes sense but for the other 2 you should assume Doom who is way more versatile.

My trick is Doom + Klaw which no one expects, 18 power on the lone Ebony Maw lane.

Apparently there's an adjustment of some kind coming to Wave in the future according to their Discord

My wild guess is that Wave will override any other cost reduction

I saw a suggestion to change her card to be "Next turn, the maximum cost of cards in both players hand is 4"

So it's not a disruption tool anymore on turn 6 against Sera decks but you can still use her to cheat out your 6 cost cards on turn 4 or do She-Hulk + Death shenanigans.

Being a disruption tool AND a combo piece is too much value for Wave.

I prefer Wave to be a disruption tool instead of a combo piece tbh

Sandman already exists for disrupting Sera decks on turn 6.

If they make wave disruption only I'll be sad. I have basically purely played a Deathwave deck.

I'd rather have them make it only apply to the user if they have to change anything.

Would Kang be too powerful if you had the option to NOT reverse time? I occasionally run into situations where I play him on Turn 6 and would have won, but the mandatory rewind gives my opponent a second chance.

But if you could cancel the effect he would have basically no risk all reward

you would have won by playing a 5/0 on turn 6? can't imagine that happens too often unless your opponents are misplaying horribly or purposely playing around Kang (which is very rare)

Awww 4/6 Enchantress was nice while it lasted. It was a nice buff and even still Id say Cosmo is more efficient of the two by far, but I guess Cosmo is safe still.

What in the world are these Rockslide and Venom changes?

The cards you're destroying in a destroy deck are usually pretty cheap so Deathlok was a better choice over Venom in most decks. Unless you're doing Deadpool, Taskmaster, Arnim Zola but that's basically a whole different deck.

Rock Slide is in 9/10 games right now because of Darkhawk, not sure what's confusing about that nerf since these are just number nerfs.

A real patch is coming next week with maybe real changes.

I felt like Venom was useful as is even though Destroy has too many cards it wants to blow up. It wasnt too hard to get him to a decent power, but either way shes a Shang-Chi target

Its almost like theyre afraid of Darkhawk himself so they did a teeny nerf to one of his allies and went into witness protection.

Rockslide was a 4/10 with the only downside being you need to play Darkhawk at some point. Typically 4/10s have much worse downsides than that, so the nerf seems good.

Finally found a pixel variant I kinda like for whatever reason and will use (no I didn't buy it I don't like it that much)

I was seeing a ton of Sera decks so I swapped from Patriot to my old Sandman list to get the rest of the way to Infinite. It still took forever; I largely got way better players in the 90s, which is how it should be. Is there actual decent MMR now?

Much as I like to talk trash about Galactus players, I lost like 5 in a row against them (only 7 cubes total but still). I did win more cubes than I lost against the bastard overall tonight, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

Now I have plenty of time to test out random bullshit!

Jeff more universally good imo. If you don't need specific 2 drops you can always put Jeff in and be better for it. And of course he still has specific uses that no one else can do

Iron Lad is kinda disappointing so far imo. Maybe with Howard he'll be more consistent.

pretty sure its focused on Darkhawk

he was a 4/10 with darkhawk and a 4/14 with hawk/mystique with the added possibility of your opponent getting dead draws and could come out on turn 3 or turn 6 with another 3(4) drop thanks to zabu

unless they want to change zabu/darkhawk, rock slide is a fine target for the nerf. but if you were running rock slide without hawk/zabu then I am sorry for your loss

I run Darkhawk as my most frequent deck, but by nerfing Rockslide to target Darkhawk, they've basically made Rockslide only viable in a Darkhawk deck, which sucks because he's cool.

I don't know of any other decks that were using Rock Slide to begin with. Maybe some Cerebro 6 meme deck?

He's fun in Wong, also as a fun filler card when you need a little power and want to fuck with your opponent's combos.

Not really worth it at 5, as a multi-split Rockslide enjoyer I can tell you he was right in the range where you'd tie/win by 1 frequently.

Anyone know any good Mister Negative lists? I cobbled together something and have been cube-neutral, but it's infinite, so I have to assume people are playing loose since cubes don't matter.

I don't know that any Negative deck has a great win rate, they're more about getting those 4 and 8 cube wins when everything goes right and retreating for 1 cube when it doesn't.

feel like this is the 'best' one with Valk being swappable for Rogue/Skrull/some other tech card, but a 'good' Negative deck is a bit of an oxymoron currently

yeah Valk ain't doing much in the current meta, definitely use Rogue or Skrull

Wow first time Ive used my Destroy deck in a match where I drew 0 of the cards that do the destroying.that sure sucked

If you had Swarm or Helicarrier you could probably force a card into Lukes Bar by filling up your hand after playing into it
