Youre gonna fill up so much space that your Titania might get stuck on the other side pretty easily.

If shes just there to be Zerod then why not Ebony Maw? And even if you have to play him naturally, Shanna can get another card into his lane, and also he will get the Spectrum boost, which Titania wont.

Beast instead of Thor could be good to give you a 0 cost Kitty, and a 2nd 0 cost Zero.

You have only 1 Zero target though so that seems weak.

yeah they just want to save the 1 energy on turn 6 which is fair, cause with Kitty in your deck you can't really play any 6 drop that isn't She Hulk, unless youre gonna bring psylocke or magik or something like that

I would just stick to decks that can afford to play her on turn 6 because a big thing she brings is that priority checks happen after she bounces back to hand, so it's pretty easy to play without priority the entire game and avoid getting killmonger'd. if you wanted to zero her for example you'd basically have to bring armor or pray they don't have killmonger

Seriously cannot recommend basic-ass Hulk enough for Patriot players. It solves a lot of problem locations, it can save bad draws, and nobody sees it coming.

there's not really a reason unless you're series 4 (and maybe even 5) complete as far as I know

they said they're not gonna do variant rushes anymore because they dont want people hoarding caches so I can't think of another reason to hoard them. if you're series 3 complete you get more collector tokens for 4 and 5 cards and since they will now arbitrarily keep cards in series 4/5 might as well collect those tokens

I don't understand what I am doing wrong in this game. The only time I seem to gain cubes is when my opponent quits before anything happens, and everytime I have all the cards I need to win regardless of deck and I snap my opponent will play the perfect counters to me no matter what.

Like I've repeatedly had 8 games in a row where there was a retreat before a card was played and then I've ranked up but as soon as my opponent actually plays I'm losing 8 cubes on what looks like a lock.

Bad luck is real. But I'd recommend trying out another deck for a while to shake it off.

i've been seeing (and also playing myself) a lot of the kitty pryde bounce deck and i've been theorycrafting that ghost might be good against it because it actually allows you to hit their cards with your counters (killmonger mainly but i suppose shang-chi as well) because they're almost always dodging prio with beast / falcon/ kitty pryde bouncing back everything into their hand

however i think wave is just objectively a better counter to that deck

Thats the thing, it doesn't seem to matter what deck I play. Like when people talk about cards being more rampant when they switch decks its like ill see the counters that counter my current deck and ill switch but all i face are counters to the deck I switched to.

You should not be losing 8 cubes or even 4 cubes regularly. I'm curious what some of your 8 cube losses are tbh. Post one here next time it happens.

The key thing in this game is you need to be aware of what your opponent can do to win. If your line is "perfect" but loses to a Shang, then it's not just bad luck when they play a Shang. You need to play around him. Lose priority before turn 6, spread out your power instead of focusing a location, play Cosmo, etc

My rules of thumb are: Assume 2 lanes can get 9 power on 6, or 1 lane can get 12 power. Assume Doom always. Assume Shang or Enchantress if you have relevant targets out. Assume archetype-specific cards (Death for destroy, Heimdall for move, Mystique for Patriot, etc).

If you can't win with those assumptions don't snap. Obv there's times when the risk is worth it, but get the basic strategy first.

I'll try to remember to start screen capping my snapped loses. I do know a big issue I do have is that even when I win 4 cubes its because I forgot to snap back which I know hurts me a bit, but like I said the biggest issues I'm having is winning 8 1 cube games in the first turn or two then losing an 8 cube game when actually facing someone.

Going off of what foolmo said remember that due to the 12 card deck, without any deck disruption the odds your opponent has the best play for their deck archetype on turn 6 is like 75% so its best to just assume they have it

Which is also why disruption type decks tend to overperform imo. You get your best options so frequently that decks often don't have enough win conditions to overcome mass disruption and players don't know what to do in those circumstances

Most of the time you learn what to do against deck x/y/z and what your good/bad matches are and when to retreat. So it throws people off when they have to deal with their deck being derailed rather than the usual type of win conditions

I am overly conservative on snapping back myself. But I do get a lot of 2 and 4 cube wins, many more than losses. My 8 cube games are probably only 40% winning which is a bit problem but it's fun to play it out so whatever.

I snapped back early because I knew he was going to play Galactus and there wasn't much on the board so I was hoping that my IM, Cerebro and Mystique would be enough to overcome whatever he dropped. Turns out they didn't. Which irritates me because when ever I play Galactus I can't get his lane past 20 power.

yea against galactus you need to keep track of how many cards died, how much power was destroyed (dont forget yondu's killed card counts) and ideally not having priority so you can shang the inevitable death/knull

if galactus players snap i just give them their 1 cube and move onto a fun game (unless you have a sure way to stop galactus from activating)

That one is pretty rough since there's no way to see how much power Knull will have, so you need to count it up yourself. But yeah those are THE 4 Galactus cards so you know they're coming. Playing vs Galactus is basically a completely different game so I'm curious about non-Galactus losses.

Large Knull + Death on 6 isn't good though. Usually you want to avoid playing strong cards when you know Galactus is coming. It looks like he got the full 8 destroys which means he could play Death and Knull instead of just 1, and the Knull was strong. The instant you recognize the Galactus you should stop feeding it like that.

And with Shang in hand the best move is usually to throw priority so you can Shang their cards on 6. Only problem is Wolverine is 4-8 power so you need to beat 10 power. Iron Man is a pretty cool way to do that since you won't gain priority, so Shang + a 1/2 drop can easily beat 10 power.

In this case, I'm assuming the Galactus came out with Wave, in which case you should've played Iron Man on 4 on the Galactus lane. Then you Mystique him. Then they literally have no way to stop your 12 power non-prioritized Shang on 6.

You CAN see the # of destroyed cards in the match by clicking their avatar. If it's 8 then Death is free so she's def coming.

I played Bast and Colossus, he had Electro Wolverine and someone else. So I don't know how Knull ended up at 18 power while still having enough destroyed to play both Knull and Death. And this is why there must be something I'm missing because I just can't figure out how these things keep happening.

Example. I played 3 cards total. Maw on turn 3, and he played his Electro, so at that point I knew it was Galactus. (I should've known from his Yondu, but he played Lizard on 2 which I never saw before but it makes sense to juice Knull). I didn't play any cards after that until 6. He could've played Knull or Death and lost to my Shang. He ended up playing Chavez which is also pretty strange, but either way I win.

Only problem is if he had a Wolverine out and got it to 6, then I would've lost. He also could've played an 8 power or a couple smaller cards, which I've honestly NEVER seen.
