if you're targeted at night, you survive unless you hide behind the person killed

The portion that's relevant here is that Lopen would have to choose who to hide behind that night, and then it would play out in the order of actions posted in the rules

I would put it in the same category as "Kidnapping/Commuting" as those are also both roles that function similarly.

But I got an unsuccessful action before he had the chance to choose a night action and hide.

Actually, now that I think about it Hider has great synergy with my role which is kind of giving me pause. But I don't really see how Lopen can be telling the truth here

This could just be a preplanned fake claim. If he is untargettable scum, he has to have a reason for being untargettable, and there's only a few town roles that would function like that.

Lopen being Lopen means he's not a bad choice for random town actions like Doctor or scanners to target, so him being untargettable was going to come up at some point. Not weird at all for him to have a plan for that.

No, it is not explicitly stated. But it would be very very weird for my role to function as a "Common Action", yet take place before a potential scum team has a chance to Roleblock or Redirect me, right? Thus my action would HAVE to go through before those are decided on.

If there is any world where Lopen and I are both telling the truth, and Sheep decided that the hide went off successfully before any possible redirects or roleblocks or anything, then I'll chalk that up to host error. >_> I really don't think that's the case though.

This order matters for hider a great deal. If your action falls under common actions then it won't target a compulsory hider.

That is how I would do it for both a hider and an untargetable as they share the same function up to a point and then diverge (untargetable is more absolute)

If Peaf is scum (which I'm greatly beginning to think) and I rule of 3 him on {me, Dumey, Death} aka three people he had an interest in killing right away, it looks bad for Death.

I do think you brought up a good point Marth about MZero being borderline suicidal with a role like his, especially with Red claimed as he was. But I think I'm okay with MZero's claim at this time. More time needed to process that one.

I'm basically just a second chance for them to actually communicate their results to the game. Also if I die before any scanner does, I get nothing. Hider is hiding until night actions resolve unless otherwise noted.

If roleblocked you could neighbor them the day

One thing to give me pause is why would sheep do this but also he apparently gave town two things that can resolve during the day if both you and sultan are truthful so sheep was having a little fun here possibly. I don't like to meta the host.

Oh I think I get it. So you're saying the chat opens immediately at the start of the night phase, so the chat would already be open before any night action go off, right? So Lopen would already be in the chat before submitting his action.

More importantly, Lopen's reaction did not feel very towny to me
