Dottler's shape is just so awkward to me. It looks like someone's child trying to do papercraft.

Aw, Dottler is pretty great, and Stonjourner is perfectly goofy. Morgrem and Drizzle are ugly though so glad they're out. Hoping for more of those ugly-ass starters and legends to drop soon, because the rest of the dex is solid.

Regieleki, Regidrago, or Kubfu seem to be the most likely legendary candidates to drop next. Kubfu has a chance of dropping next because it's an NFE legendary.

Paratroopa1 (37) - I love all the fossils but this one amuses me the least, hes just got his head turned around. I feel a little bad dissing him though

Ermine (64) - Scientists were paid money in the Pokemon Universe to create these monstrosities. Good to know that I could become a scientist in that world if I'm a fucking moron!
Luster Soldier (64) - The fossil Pokemon of this generation consist of 2 parts - the head and body. Reviving the fossil Pokemon requires 2 different fossils to be revived at the same time. This created a problem for Galar's scientists who had to figure out how to piece the fossils together, sometimes with disastrous results. Arctovish came out on the bad end of things, with its mouth on top of its head, so it has trouble eating food.

going from a pokemon i actively adore dropping to one i am slightly negative towards - and oh hey, i was on the mark with that one!

Impidimp is a gross and ugly little goblin, but that's the fucking point, so it gets points in my book. It really reads as a goofy little trickster and thank FUCK for the dark/fairy combo. This line probably sucks competitively but I'm not an eSports athlete or Nuzlocke runner so I do not give a fuck. Give me more outwardly creepy af fairies. gee I wonder what my top two fairy type Pokemon are >>

I feel like I'd enjoy Arctovish more if sprites were still the norm. I don't really like how this thing looks in screenshots. And water/Ice is boring. The backwards head is really great, but I wish the rest of the design wasn't so cohesive, actually!

Fossils were all part-rock type until gen 8, presumably due to them being... fossilised. Or maybe it's the other way around, and the only reason the Galar mons aren't part rock is that we got the non-rock half of them.

Gossifleur definitely exists.

tbh I feel like I might have rated this one too low in hindsight, though I am very much also in the "well it exists" camp. I love its colour palette, but something about how it stands proportionally feels off. Hell, it doesn't even stand. It has no legs!

my point is these fossils were an opportunity to mix and match types that dont naturally fit together, so making one of the combos a super boring, fairly common one was a waste

Water/Ice, like Rock/Ground, is one of the types that seems super common but no, its just Kanto. Outside of it, between Walrein and Arctovish, there were none.
