falayyou01 10/31/23 10:45:52 AM #178:	I don't know if this has already been said but I don't know how any Israeli's can back Netanyahu at this point. Hamas was left to grow and proliferate by Israel under Bebe. Bebe's government wanted Hamas (as a radical fundamentalist group) to be a counterweight to the more secular PLO (Netanyahu said it himself), in order to obstruct the pathway towards any hopes of a two state solution. So in effect, Netanyahu's government allowed Hamas to do their own thing and either (1) under-estimated the threat Hamas posed, or (2) ignored them at their own peril; I don't know which is worse, because they were more concerned with Hezbollah. Now they're being hit with a war on multiple fronts that will be very costly in the long run.
