Just Ariseheart limit wouldn't be too bad. It gives less recovery options to anybody who stole Ariseheart with any number of stealing options and stacking Ariseheart themselves.

Kashtira had shockingly low rep in fan tournaments and even in the current DC, which had a surprisingly varied format. Tasuku, in his usual ultra grind ways, got like 70k points or something mad. He needs to chill, NOW

Results in the TCG showed that Kashtira can still dominate tournaments against other decks even with only 1 copy. Plus, that also has the side effect of making the Kashtira mirror an awful coin flip, since the one who goes 1st can just Unicorn banish the only Arise-Heart the going 2nd player has and win easily.

They either need to ban Arise-Heart entirely or not hit at all and hit the main-deck Kashtira cards like Fenrir and Unicorn instead. I would rather see the latter happen, since Kashtira is still a great rank 7 engine and we're still in this god-forsaken format where Tomahawk and Auroradon are legal. Anything that hurts rank 7 plays is objectively a good thing for that reason alone, so I say ban Fenrir and limit Unicorn like the OCG did.

At least White Woman takes some work to summon, unlike Kaijus where the opponent just needs to get lucky, draw it, and then plop it down on your monster. If your deck can put up a big stupid unaffected tower that needs White Woman get rid of it but can't put up enough disruption to stop the opponent from summoning the 4 monsters needed to summon her, then you deserve to have White Woman take your boss monster to Brazil.

Either way, cards like Kaijus and White Woman are necessary evils with how fast-paced the game is and how crazy first-turn boards can be.

You put 2 high mat Darkness on the board so that Kaijus can't stop both, and ppl weren't running enough Lava Golems. This is the only win Ghostricks have had in decades so let's give them a hand

I think I ran into a similar decklist during the Duelist Cup, although I just thought it was someone being weird and quirky. I can definitely see how that would be a pain in the ass once refined and piloted competently, though.

There were a lot of variance in the decks in this Cup. Basically he ran a deck that's as unbeatable going 1st while still having a chance going 2nd, surrendering to any match up he can't beat. In terms of Tasuku, he's optimized his run.

The 1st turn combo is pretty long though, but I'm guessing he was executing them really quickly. I do hate that DCs are always this time sink shit, but it does have consistent toppers

Since I spent the month using the duelist cup for my dailies I spent way too much time getting to plat 1 today. Sometimes you get the fun duels like someone on pure timethief. But far too often you get a real ass that plays pure stun with no win condition at all.

Currently sitting here trying to figure out if I can use Promethean Princess in my Spright deck because Red, Carrot, Elf, and Sprind are all Fire. Aside from that possibility and maybe Time-Tearing Morganite for my Floowandereeze deck, this new selection pack is completely useless to me.

I should be happy about Beetrooper Cruel Saturnas being added, but Tearlaments got Instant Fusion banned earlier this year and killed that option.

Ive heard that Prom Princess would really work in Sprights for that reason. The card seems pretty good in the right situation but you do need to plan for it, which isnt that hard.

Prom queen is great in Salads for sure. You can resummon a link-2, link it off for a link-3 or 4 Salad. I dunno how many good fire attr link-3 and 4s are there. Once there is one that's particularly great, it'll make her even better, because she basically acts as a bridge and also an extra disruption on the next turn, without that much investment.

Also you can just summon anything, link her and what she summoned off for a link-2, extend, make Heatsoul. But this does require having an extender that's not fire type. I'm pretty sure her Fire restriction only applies if she's on the field

Maybe I should try a PUNK variant while staying mostly PUNK.

Okay, so now that I gave PUNKash Witch a fair try (spoilers: it sucked, in exactly the way I expected it to suck), time to take things seriously!

So I currently have every Kashtira card except Wraitsoth, but I plan (hope) to get that while I keep pulling for Thrusts, so I'm not gonna bother crafting it. In the meantime, I guess I'll try something that uses Kash but doesn't really need or want the field spell.

I saw some discussion in the previous topic about P.U.N.K. with Kashtira, but I didn't really follow the conversation or anything. What's a good approach to PUNKash (without the Witch)? Same basic game plan as pure P.U.N.K. but also run max Fenrir, Unicorn, and 2-3 Birth? I mostly ask because I've been really interested in P.U.N.K. since it released, but never put any serious effort into actually trying it out.

I personally run 2 Fenrir, 1 Riseheart (search target for Fenrir), 3 Unicorn, 1 Theosis, 1 Birth. Birth gives you 2 lvl 10 synchros, and Theosis is for when you've committed to the Kash side of things.

I also recommend running 3 copies of Instant Contact. It's a Water attr in grave, and it can become a lvl 5 or a lvl 7. Lvl 7 can also assist the Kash side plays

For ED, I run 1 Shangri, 1 Ariseheart, 1 Big Eye, 1 Zeus. Big Eye doesn't appear that much though, and you can always just trade him for another Synchro.

That's my personal preference though, cuz PUNK Kash is very hand dependent on what you end up doing.

PUNK board looks like a lvl 8 synchro + Sharakusai and 2-3 lvl 3 psychic tuners in the grave with 1-2 set pass. You chain Sharakusai on their turn and summon Amazing Dragon to do an AOE bounce back to their hand. If you have the field spell, you also get a draw here, and if they responded to Sharakusai and you have Dragon Drive in grave, you actually get 2 draws, which can draw into a hand trap or a setup for next turn. PEP pass is pretty unreliable, and yeah all pure PUNK routes are pretty weak to Kaijus and Lava Golems. If they imperm or Book of Moon Sharakusai, it's pretty bad too. If your lvl 8 synchro is an Adamancipator Dragite with Carp or a water HERO in grave, it's pretty good. Draco Berserker is also a decent alternative, Dragon Drive on field is not preferable but sometimes unavoidable

PUNK + Kash board looks like 2 lvl 10 synchros, and a Kash xyz, or a lvl 8 synchro + Sharakusai. You can do some really high roll mega crime with PUNK + Kash. You search Birth here with Unicorn instead of Theosis

Kash board is just your average Shangri and potentially Ariseheart or Unicorn/Fenrir on board. You can go Ariseheart solo if you have a lot of backrow and handtraps. Otherwise Shangri + Unicorn or Fenrir on board is probably as good.

For PUNK plays, you try to summon Sharakusai if you have a PUNK in hand or board after. You go into Carp and try to use its effect to summon Deer Note and Wa Gon. Use Wa Gon to search the field spell. If you already have the field or Wa Gon in hand, you search Madame Spider instead and search the trap (the negate one is better for non-pure PUNKs, for pure PUNKs, run the destroy one).

Ze Amin and Foxy Tune and Ogre Dance are routes to get you to that exact play. If you play your cards right, they're basically 9 cards that get you there.

Very detailed, thanks! Actually, yeah, one of the things that almost sold me on P.U.N.K. previously was that it was the most viable deck I could find that could use Instant Contact for free material. That's a neat little trick I've been itching to take advantage of~

Anything that can use Lv 7 or lower HERO (or Neo Spacian) summoned from Extra deck can use Instant Contact. Even (sigh) Red-Eyes.

Testing out Scareclaw Kash. Its more fun to me than pure Kash. Tri-heart really flummoxes people too. Just have to get better at playing the deck!

I'm still doing the whole "skip the first 2 days of the month to let all 9 dailies build up, then only redeem the 3 easiest dailies each day until the last day of the month where I redeem all 9" thing. It's way easier than doing whatever 3 random dailies pop up each day.

None of the structure interests me; Zombie would be the top spot in that regard because I have Eldlich already and...there is Red-Eyes monster in Zombie.

But Galaxy-Eyes is enticing especially because I also pulled the new cards.

But Traptrix also keeps taunting me, man.

I do buy some cosmetics actually, but only the ones I really want. I buy packs pretty often. I never just wanna stick to one deck. Even at the height of my PUNK fandom, I still played Sprights and Tears and Magikey

That is honestly impressive. Even when I want to play other decks, I still stick to the one I've been using previously, like now I can't even play anything else but PUNK.

Well only the Spright deck of them were actually complete. The other decks usually had some level of settling for a cheaper option.

I just get bored of playing 1 deck too long. PUNK had so much variations of builds and routes that it was always pretty fun to play.

Oh hey, Vanquish Soul is coming in the next selection pack. I've been hyped for that archetype for a while. I'll probably build it on my side account and save the gems on my main account for the second wave of Rescue-ACE support, which should hopefully be coming in the next month or two.

The worst part of this event is that it forced me to scrounge up a bird floo deck just to do the normal summon condition in one go

Ok nvm I found some sauce. I have most of the Prediction Princess core

Nah, they've been obnoxiously good about shooting True Dracos (and Floo) for these events after the early events were filled with infinite bitching about them. Same with the SelfTK decks. And I can already tell two Ritual archetypes that will be useless for the event if the entire ED is banned - Nekroz and (my personal choice) Dogmatika.

Mikankos might be safe since they're technically a ritual deck, or at least they might only face minor hits like Double-Edged Sword being banned. Or maybe when they start hitting the really good "no extra deck" archetypes (Floowandereeze, True Dracos, Labrynth, etc.) my old reliable Kozmos might slip through the cracks with no hits again. We'll have to wait and see when the event banlist drops.

The pripris are kinda janky, would suck if they ban the uhhh... floodgate guys... It's not that easy to summon them both though
