Really enjoying Nouvelles for this event, though I realize a big part of it is that my opponent usually scoops as soon as I get the level 1 ritual out since they assume I have follow-ups, so it's been a quick event for getting medals.

Nouvelles are a deck that beat anyone who doesn't understand how they work. I bet many of the instant quits are because they lost their whole board to the deck not realizing that the counter is to put creatures into defense position.

That said, the Blue-Eyes loaner is pretty popular and that deck really has no answers to any of the nouvelle monsters. Best thing they could do is summon alternative blue-eyes in defense mode and pop your creature.

I tried Nouvelles for a bit and most of my opponents decks could either counter it naturally or they just stalled until they drew the out.

Oh my god they turned the White Woman Jumpscare into a loli

Was saving up for another deck and was able to get some gems. Rolled on the new pack not thinking I would get much Vanquished Souls but I was able to get just enough to craft the rest of the deck.

Scareclaw has been rough. Got back to Diamond 2 but the Meta has shifted and I just cant play under 4-5 disruptions. Some decks can, that one cant. And I ranked down back to D4. :(

Also VS was crazy good in the ritual event too. Got all 2k medals rather quick. Sure they lose Rock but the normal monsters have such synergy its usually fine.

Also it seems VS isnt as well known due to them not hitting the TCG or the OCG when they could actually play. Due to Tear and Kash being at full power for longer.

I guess I need to rush the event.

I don't like Ritual decks. The most Ritual I tried is Borreload Riot Dragon and that card is useful enough you don't even need to play a ritual spell, just like Oohime for Mikanko or Illusion of Chaos.

Hmm, it feels like I brick extra hard with Ancient Warriors....
Extravagance aside, I wonder what's missing...

edit: okay, forgot to bring Tenki. That's something.

And I practically cannot out Chaos MAX. Looks like I have to bring Droplet, but hands are full.

Whenever I encounter opponents who surrender as soon as they see a Drytron card or Benten, I wish I could tell them: No, it's okay, I'm not running the cancerous Herald version, I can't afford that.

...so instead, I'm running the cancerous Amorphactor turn skip version! :)

Okay, got halfway through. Will continue to use AW until 11k.

Now to think of what kind of Ritual deck to use to complete the mission...

Ppl keep saying too many SS support, and meaningfully the only playable card they got in like 2 years is just Linkage

SKy Strikers are one of those decks I actually love playing against with the Stun Deck. They really arent that big of a threat. Inspector Boarder or Fossil Dyna and a few negate on the board and they cant really fight back. If they cant get to the links, they really dont have a path to victory.

Stun players like you are why I play a ton of board breakers and why I still have 2 copies of Red Reboot crafted.

I'm just playing Yugioh in the way that I consider to be the most fun :P

Never I have been so afraid of Chaos MAX Dragon pass before.

Ancient Warriors only having one practical in engine out to it (and that requires another card) doesn't help.

I would just use the Libromancer loaner deck. It can Ritual Summon like crazy due to the field spell.

You could also use Megaliths since they have no URs but they are hit and miss in the event. And dont have the best out to Chaos Max

Already got 11k medals so outing Chaos MAX is the least of my worries lol.

Edit: also love how DM gets to have Master of Chaos legal just because it is a fusion that needs a ritual monster to fuse with....except Timaeus exist.

So far the protagonist cards have been rather underwhelming in Ouarter century box I hope Yugi gets something good or at least that Summoned Skull X Dark Magician fusion I've been hungry for

New missions, 400 total gems. 20 cards destroyed and 20 duels.

They purposely upped the last two missions' gems by lowering the others previously. Well played.

I was waiting for the new missions to really commit to the Ritual fes. Honestly, the worst part in this fest is that some fucking how I managed to find a way to brick against a brainless Dark Magician player, as per usual for me. I'll find a fucking way to lose with every single deck vs DM, even though with any non-garbage pile hand, I can always win.

It ended my PriPri unbeaten streak and also put me on a 3 game brick fest where I realized the deck that I copied was just bad. Adjusted a ton and never bricked nearly as bad again.

I actually pulled off a perfect Yata-lock in the ritual festival.

Played a Black Luster deck and got in the situation where they had no cards on the field or in thier hand, and I had Yata Garasu and just pecked them to death :P

I've played Mathmechs many times and still dont understand what their goal is. One guy beat me but it wasnt really the mathmechs that did anything.

Yeah ngl Fountain limit at this point would probably kill Runicks, who want to refresh the Fountain once at least.

Diameter limit is the UR gem allowance prevention agenda. Even though it would not reasonably affect the Mathmech consistency, people tend to just abandon a deck entirely by small margins. Hopefully I haven't had Cynet Mining at any point cuz I would've liked to dismantle it.

Purrely semi does nothing but Delicious Memory semi is a fucking wrist tap, not a slap. Light semis for the strongest deck atm

Tempest semi is a nothing. It helps Ritual Beasts mildly... though there's no space for him anymore

Pot whatever, it's almost used at 2 anyways, quick launch 2 is nothing, chaos space meh, labry stove semi is a literal who cares. I don't even think semi stovie would dissuade any Labry players

Drident unlimit is the best thing about this list. Heck, I don't even think it makes Zoos playable, but it makes Zoo infused decks way stronger. Limit Ratpier is something they should flirt with. In unlimited ban formats, Zoos usage and win rate have gone down dramatically. People overrate this deck a lot but man, it stands 0 chance vs a SPYRAL or Tearlament full power.

We don't though, we just happen to make good use of it if we hard draw like E-Tele with PUNK

Aside from the Fountain hit killing Runick decks and Drident to 3 being fun for the very few Zoodiac players left out there (myself included), most of this list seems like minor tweaks that will barely affect anything in the long run. I just dismantled all of my Runick decks and cards (except Fountain itself, gonna wait until the limit kicks in to get the bonus) and now I feel like using all of that UR material to build a new deck.

How's Swordsoul these days? I don't have any Synchro-focused decks on either of my accounts, and that's the one that seems most interesting to me.

Drident to 3 is not entirely negligible though. Now Zoos can put up a 3 quick pop on the board potentially. It's not easy but it's not entirely weak either. A lot of decks can't deal with a turn 1 triple pop without a field clear or negate. Not that Zoos are good at putting up 3 Dridents of course, without their actually broken cards like Ratpier or Broadbull or that one spell

The purrely nerfs are a lot more tame than I expected. Which I dont mind cus I main it, but here I was with 5 sleepy memory ready to dismantle and profit hard from it being limited or semi limited :/

oh well, maybe the next ban list then.

I did it! I got to Master! My vanquish souls worked to get me there! I never thought I could do this, I have some pretty major medical problems that lead me to be in pain 24/7. But this month Ive felt well enough and I knew the meta.

Im on cloud 9!

Is it just me or is the genex decks for the new story mode just kind of suck.

Genex are mega shit, which is why they got a card that's now literally the entire archetype's glue. It does everything, when before that little guy, the deck did NOTHING

It literally cannot do anything as pure Genex. You'd need some outer source

It's amazing how Genex is large enough to have two sub-archetypes (Genex Ally and R-Genex) and yet nearly the entire archetype, like 99% of it, is s**t before the Terminal World support. Literally the only Genex that saw play, is Undine.

The old Duel Terminal stuff actually have some sort of strategy (attribute control and gain advantage based on that), but the "advantage" is not enough to make them worthwhile, even back during 5Ds era when they debuted.

Makes it kinda funny that now OCG Structure manga is promoting Genex by having the MC use Genex deck, including mentioning some of the archetype's old and s**t DT era cards.
And then.......the MC's turn 1 endboard consist of only newer cards, with the oldest one being F.A. Dawn Dragster which is not even part of Genex archetype lol

I have 750 UR materials and nothing to spend it on.

Isn't Genex Ally Birdman used pretty often in degen strat
