I was cautiously optimistic of a Harris win but figured not only did Trump have the statistical advantage of having outperformed his polling expectations the last two times, I even figured out ways he could grow his "cult" (primarily through people who came of age during Biden's presidency wanting him back just because "the economy was better" and forgetting his mishandling of the pandemic is almost completely responsible for the supposed economic quagmire now). What I did not expect was an apparent wholesale forgetfulness of everything bad he did as POTUS.
