I don't blame OKC for challenging the call, but it probably cost them.

So I tracked my usual run/walk for the first time. It's right under 6 miles, and my pace was just under 12 minutes at 11.58. Better than expected, but I'm gonna try to get that pace under 10 minutes. Said my best pace was 6.45 which is right around when I was at my best cardio level as a teenager lol.

I normally squat a 90 degrees, or slightly lower, but since I'm just training to maintain my strength right now and focusing on higher reps, I started going ass to grass to help with my mobility. I mean obviously you still need good mobility to do that deep of a squat which is usually the limiting factor on why people can't, but I digress.

Anyway, it definitely gives a hell of a stretch on the top part of the quad, but also I can't do ass to grass with just the bar, BW? Totally fine, 135/225/315/365 all can do it. Anyone else have this problem? lol

Not a big deal, I only use the bar to warm up and gauge where I need to put the safety bars, but it's just a weird quirk I can't quite figure out.

How do people do competitive speedrunning without going insane.

Not exactly the same as I do Mario Kart, so it's just short tracks in less 2-3 minutes time(most of the time), but that doesn't mean I won't play the same track hundreds, to thousands times in a row.

It's the chase, and the satisfaction of getting a PR, or a WR.

Such a good and simple idea. That means Democrats won't do it.

Biden should show up on the campaign trail and use this opportunity to show that he will help when Texas leadership won't do shit for them. Maybe it'll change some minds, maybe it won't. If people like being shit on, then let them be shit on, but obviously still help.

Luka looking healthy.

OKC didn't have much offensive rhythm all game. Hard to win that way. I would know, I watched the Suns all year.

Also if Metaphor Refantazio is anywhere near as a good as a Persona 4/5 it might be up there.

Though I'm not quite sure what the hearbeat is on JRPG's like that being enough to be a favorite.

Dragon's Dogma 2 was my personal pick for eventual GotY going into 2024 but it dropped the ball in multiple ways.

While true, it's still currently my frontrunner, despite the obvious problems. It's just not that strong of a year. Granted I haven't played Rebirth(waiting on PC release).

Doesn't seem like a super strong year, but yeah maybe a couple surprises down the road.

According to the article landlines made up less than 6% of the poll. Cell phone is the most accessible means of polling that can't easily be cheesed (anyone can bot an internet poll). Just talking to people in person would suffer an even bigger sampling bias.

NYT's methodology adjusts for the fact that certain demographics are significantly underrepresented by cellular polling by weighting their responses more greatly. This has produced accurate results so far.

Accessibility doesn't mean reliability.

Modern polling has a lot of issues.

Instead of using opinion polls, why not use actual poll data? Ya'know all the elections that have happened from 2020 til now, where the Democrats have been obliterating in almost every single race, but yeah keep clinging to polls.

4,000 is a large sample size. Most election polls are done with 1,000 or less.

I'm not laughing at the sample size. I know how data reads. I'm laughing out how they the data was obtained. Cellular and landline are only being answered by certain demographics of people(Hint they lean right).

"The New York Times/Philadelphia Inquirer/Siena College poll in Pennsylvania and the Times/Siena polls in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Nevada were conducted in English and Spanish on cellular and landline telephones from April 28 to May 9, 2024. In all, 4,097 registered voters were interviewed."

Lol.

I need to figure out my fatigue better. I struggle with wanting to just keep going and going and never stopping try to improve, but I never take into account how much I walk at my job. I can average over 30,000 steps some weeks depending on what I'm doing, then I go and do a 1 hour to 90 minute workout. Then I'm like, why am I not improving? lol.

Plus ya'know, getting old, and needing longer rest periods, but I'm a go go go mentality. It's hard to stop, and just relax a bit.

So um...

I've glanced at this topic here and there but never really had anything to say. I guess because of my inconsistency. I have a pretty bad hip, and I'm not in the best spot weight wise either. Those combinations alongside my depression have been... an uphill battle to say the least. But 2024 was the year I starting making more of an effort. I was pretty flakey in the first few months, but I starting going to the gym a bit more consistently in April.

This month, I've been going to the gym a lot consistently. I genuinely feel like I'm improving, I've also been taking up yoga (DDPY). I'm feeling more confident for sure. I don't exactly have a 'battle plan' of sorts, mostly just been winging it in terms of what exercises I do. But I'm making this the year I take control back of my health.

Hell yeah! Keep it up.

Consistency and the discipline to keep going is the hardest thing to achieve, imo. Motivation will only get you so far, so you have to learn to hunker down and just do it. Once you find things to enjoy about it, whether it's caveman brain of numbers going up and down, or just the feeling of now you are improving, getting better, getting healthier, it's a lot easier to maintain.

I also think the Wolves would benefit from trading one of KAT or Gobert(If the do end up losing the series that is).

Ant reminds me of Booker from last year. Absolutely on fire the whole time, but it just wasn't enough against the Nuggets.

That area of the lower back I can 'pop' if I flex my glutes hard enough, maybe try that? It hurts initially but it 'frees' it up. If that makes sense lol. Granted that's where I injured my lower back as a kid so that's why I get a lot of tightness/heaviness in it from time to time. It also could just be nerve tightness. Which I have all the time and I just do nerve flossing every day now to prevent it. Nerve tightness feels almost exactly like muscle stretching/tightness so it's hard to actually tell when it's happening.

Never thought I'd see the day where I actually enjoy going on runs, but here I am. Gonna try to put in a bit more cardio over the summer months.

Also an incredibly dumb shot by Brunson. Refs are rarely going to call a foul on those last second shots, and he had so much more time to give it to someone else.

More in depth analysis of how the problems play off each other.

Hmm, sounds eerily similar to Embracer group. Execs have the easiest job in the world. Get paid millions to fuck over people's livelihoods for a year or two, then escape on a golden parachute. Shit is sad.

I legit don't understand how you can run a business with no foresight, or forecasted budget surpluses' or potential deficits.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Deadlifts were also trash. Don't think it has anything to with my form, I think my lower back is just weak lol. Could also be fatigue. My PR of 450 is also when I did a lot of manual labor for work where I was basically deadlifting all day for 8 hours anyway.

Joints and other things are starting to hurt so I'm gonna stay off heavy lifting for a bit and move to a more medium challenging weight with more reps for the next few weeks to ease my body back into heavy lifting over the summer.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Maybe it's just me, but I usually lump 'AAA' with Ubisoft, EA, 2K, Sony and Microsoft.

As for other big publishers; Nintendo is always it's own thing, Capcom and Bandai Namco don't tend to draw nearly as much ire outside of microtransaction BS.

Bench day was a disaster.

I didn't know how cooked my triceps were from my last arm day, but I had absolutely no pushing power today.

So I'll take it easy on my next arm and chest day, hopefully it'll be enough to regroup.

Woo- up to 380 on squat. At the point where I'm probably no longer gonna see crazy gains, so I'll take these 5 pound improvements.

Finished the day with some light deadlift work(230x10, 270x7) to focus on pulling the slack out more efficiently and I definitely felt a difference in the pulling of the hamstrings and glutes so I'm hopeful that I might see a jump on my deadlift day. Cause yeah, my squat and deadlift should not be so even haha.

The best news is that the light week for OHP/arms did seem to help, as I was feeling very fresh today. Managed to put up 147.5 on OHP for, I think, the first time ever. And I did a a very nice feeling 6 @ 65 for weighted chin ups.

Nice!

today was just another chill light day. I actually really enjoy these parts in cycles mentally. Just throwing around lightweight and getting a huge pump in the process. It also takes off some of the anxiety of hitting your expected weight or reps

For sure, it also helps with the joints.

Took today off and have just been looking at ways to improve my deadlift more, by all accounts I should be lifting a lot more than what I'm currently at. I can pullup a shiton, I can hip thrust a shitton, I can squat 375, while my dead is at 385. So I think the issue is I'm not pulling the slack out well enough. So I'm gonna focus on that a bit more see if it helps. I've always made sure my upper back was activated during the pull, but I think that I'm not pulling, then driving at the right time, like my mechanics are just slightly off.

Gonna squat tomorrow, bench on Tuesday, and do deads on Wednesday. Hopefully with some new PR's.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Yeah, trust me, be careful with hips. It can be absolutely debilitating.

Up to 180 on OHP, my 175 was a goddamn trial but I got past the sticking point. Was getting nervous my arms were gonna give out and drop the weight lol. Though today is a lot of delt work so I think it should be a much easier experience on my next arm day which is more bicep heavy.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Sony execs just want to pump up PSN memberships so they can show growth to their shareholders.

There is absolutely no reason for this to be implemented if it was working just fine prior.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
I'm super stubborn, so option 2.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Up to 245 on incline(PR). Also hitting 100lb's dumbells on the incline for multiple reps. I also attempted a 285 flat bench rep at the end of all my incline and other chest work, got stuck halfway, so I'm feeling good about potentially PRing on my next flat bench day.

Gonna see how this month goes, but I might do a mini 6-8 week cut through June and July. Just to get my water weight back down, and shed a couple pounds of fat that I've gained over the past 12-16 weeks.

Feeling good about my overall progress tho.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
No PR's today, but my quads are wrecked.

Don't even remember the last time I had them this worn out from a workout.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
I have clicking in my ankles that stems from a genetic issue. Basically a tendon or ligament that connects the ankle to the foot gets snagged on the bone and 'snaps back and fourth' resulting in a clicking/snapping noise. It's nothing serious and I've never had any issues with it. It actually has resulted in me having extreme flexibility in my ankles.

So best case, that's what's happening here, just in your knees.

Hit 175 on OHP today, attempted 180 and got stuck halfway.

My deload/rest days definitely helped my biceps and triceps. They felt very fresh today.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Workout kinda sucked because I didn't get a lot of sleep.

Did get up to 395 on deadlift tho. Almost back to 4 plates.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Well I did it! Hit 365 on squat, then 370, failed on 375. New PR! Next major goal is 4 plates.

Moral of the story. Deloads work, and you don't actually have to take full workouts off, nor do you have to do a full week. Either cut your reps in half and keep the same weight, or keep the same reps, and cut your weight in half(on any muscle that is struggling).

Pumped up for bench tomorrow.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Man, I keep getting a pinch in my hip, but then it goes away. It's really annoying because I'm petrified of it getting injured again.

Like my mobility and strength is totally fine on it. So I think it's just because I walk a lot during work because that's when it happens.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
As much as I like strength training and pushing myself to the limits. It is nice to just do some light weights, focus on form, and take it slow and easy. Plus it pretty much split my gym time in half since I'm not resting between sets as much.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
iiaattgg posted...
Sounds like we are all tired lol

Yeah, fuck it.

I just walled today, shit sucked lol. My elbows, knees, shoulders all just hurt.

So I'm starting my deload/rest week tomorrow. Will resume same reps, but will cut the weight by 70% and take a few extra rest days. I'd rather rest and get my body back to normal instead of just trying to fight through this when I know that won't work in the long run.

And if things improve again after this rest week I know that my limit on fatigue with my workout plan and worklife load has a shelf life of about 8-10 weeks. So I'll rest up, continue my bulk for another 8 weeks, and hopefully hit some of my goals, and continue to PR. After the next 8 weeks I'll decide if I want to do a mini-cut.

https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Still stuck on 365. Had a couple improvements on cable squats, and dumbell goblet squats, other than that pretty mundane workout that kicked my ass. I forgot that plateuing at everything at once causes you to be extremely fatigued lol.

I'm gonna take a rest day before my next leg day. See if that kickstarts it like it did with my deadlift. If I'm truly plateauing at everything then I'll deload for a week or two and go from there.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
As great as yesterday was, today was not that. Definitely felt it this morning. Back hasn't been this sore in a while.

Also just hit a wall today. Granted it's arms, I don't expect fast improvements. My biceps are probably the strongest they have ever been. Also walked a lot at work, over 20,000 steps. So I was already sort of tired from that.

I'll see how squats go tomorrow.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Hey man, systemic fatigue is a very real thing! Get that rest.

My rest day payed the fuck off. Fucking destroyed deadlifts. 365x1 to 385x1, 20 pound jump, haha. Bonkers mode.

It was a 285x6, 305x3, 365x1. On the 305 set I was thinking to myself that seemed way too easy. Then the 365 just went up super smooth. Then kept doing 1 rep 5lb increases till I hit my limit and failed on the 385 attempt.

Got my shoulder shrugs up to 345x3 now, no PR's on bw pullups, but still tied my PR even with the increase and 4 max deadlift reps lol. Really great back day. Hips felt great, this day put me in a great mood.
https://m.twitch.tv/sorozone/profile
Had a sharp pain in my hip when walking yesterday at work. Been flaring up on and off throughout the day today. Hopefully it's nothing because I can walk fine, my flexibility is fine, and I can kick things without crumbling to the floor in pain.

However, if it does become an issue. I'll just halt this bulk and go back to cutting for a few weeks. So hopefully everything is good tomorrow because I'll find out either way by doing deadlifts.

I will say I have a feeling it's just from my strength going insane in about an 8 week time frame. Even though(obviously) the muscles can handle it, the joints maybe not so much. I have noticed a lot more joint pain, just overall in my elbows, shoulders, and legs. Nothing horrible, but you just notice the aches a bit more.
